As the other 1 ratings state- this was a terrible experience. The process of boarding is ridiculous. The one zone for all creates chaos and frustration with both the passengers and the Employees. There was no communication on how to line up and when the mob approached the one lane the Employees attempted to get everyone in one line which it was obviously past that. Then they told us that the people that paid for carry on will likely have to check because they didn't have much storage capacity. Same trip different flights: They cancelled our son's first flight due to unforeseen plane maintenance. Then when they arrived for their return flight it was delayed 3 hours. They cancelled and got an American flight the next morning. Don't t let the cheap rates fool you. Pay a little more for consistency if need be, but my son's flight on American was the same price. read more

flown frontier twice. first time was an 8 hour layover on a return flight from Houston. this time on a return flight from Miami was a complete cancellation 30 minutes prior to boarding because two crew members didn't show. book a more expensive airline, or drive. their 100$ voucher won't help with the 1,000$ flight expenses to get home after this latest fiasco. but do yourself a favor. never give these people your money to get you somewhere. horrible airline and business read more

1st off $123 to check a bag, if over 40lbs an additional $100. Then when you get to gate you find out a carry also comes with and additional $69 charge. Then the flight gets delayed and hour. read more

Only fly with this airline if you're going short distance, be warned about your carry on fees, don't bring anything except your backpack or you will be charged, watch out for long wait time, I sat for 4 hours for my flight from Phoenix to San Diego, nothing is free on this plane, no snacks, not even soda or water will be complementary, the seats don't recline, so you're lucky if you only have less than an hour flight, also everything on the plane is old, the manual, the menu, the seatbelts, all beaten up. Something is malfunctioning at their boarding gate, the alarm went on for over 45 minutes. Plus their plane during take off and landing, it made you feel so bad for your safety, because it made so much noises and cracking like everything is falling apart, definitely their maintenance needs to be looked at. Finally they frequently change their boarding gate, they will not notify you. read more

Horrible company. Went to Las Vegas for business and found out we had a death in the family. Went to the airport to get a trip home a day early. Told it would be another additional $234 even though the tickets are only $180 on Expedia. Zero consideration. Do not fly Frontier airlines. They have no heart read more

If you are prepared for a lot of last minute cancellations or severely delayed flights.... That's really what you pay for. So expect it. You'll get there eventually, so that's the one star. Typically the help is kind. It's a cheap flight y'all. read more

You pay for what you get. I'd you just need a quick flight with minimal to no baggage, this is a valid option. My flight was cheap. I had a couple of changes and they provided me with flight credits which was a plus. Any type of bag bigger than a backpack, they make you pay for. The cabin is small. The overhead bins are smaller but then again, that's what you're paying for. The gate attendants at the ticket counter were rude. The flight attendants seem to belittle customers and treat them as if they're less than. I'm all fair in giving props when and where necessary. Needless to say no props or kudos for this experience and I won't be using frontier again. I'd rather fly Allegiant (that's saying A LOT!) read more

The most pathetic airline ever! Delayed flights- no explanation and they have the audacity to charge for a purse! They have the audacity not to even offer passengers water after a 3 hour delay!!!!! Walk or drive instead- don't book with them. read more

Well even tho my flight was cheap, and the plane was nice and clean. I'm not sure about the going to one terminal only to transported to another terminal. They don't even explain they just point and tell get in. It was a little creepy. They were also a little late. read more

I wish I can give negative stars because I so despise these airlines. The baggage drop off was way too slow, the staff at the airport are rude. On top of everything, they lost my bags and the only way to reach them is through mail and haven't heard from them. Would never take these airlines again and wouldn't recommend them. read more

I wish this airline would read these reviews - but obviously they do NOT because they don't care! As long as every sucker who gives them $ can't reach them to request a refund WHEN THEY CANCEL THE FLIGHT RANDOMLY AND OFFER NO "FIX"! My "FIX" was to jump quick on another airline (Southwest!) who WOULD help us - and pay the fat ass last minute fare!! Frontier never made it right! They should be sued ... but nobody got time for that!! read more

Flown frontier twice (both round trips) and it was awful. Each time, ticket counter staff and flight attendants were stand off-ish and unfriendly. Flights were delayed or there were tech problems displaying wrong information at the gate. -Purchased Discount Den _Purchased the go wild pass for my kid & I -Started flying and doing okay. -tried to book multiple flights but it never recognized my discount den and then I would get error codes. -contacted online help - huge written record of no service. I still can't buy tickets online. --stuck in phoenix due to this and was told my cvg rep to purchase at the airport as flights are cheaper. -I went to the Phoenix airport today to get help. I wanted to purchase a ticket and was told they couldn't do that. I told them that CVG told me that is what I should do. -another rep told me that they don't normally do this but if I wanted to the flight would be 500 plus dollars. I asked for a manager. -Manager Erica Rocha came over and started talking to me. I had asked for the manager due to long standing problems but another woman interrupted and took over the conversation and this manager walked away to help her without even saying anything to me... just walked away. I had already waited 20 minutes for her and help and now this? --while she was helping the woman that interrupted I decided that this was obviously not going to work anyway, so my PTSD AND I ordered a ticket.. damn, I made a mistake and ordered a ticket from cvg to phoenix as I was upset and shaking. So I then book my ticket to go home tomorrow at 200$ (NOT 500$) ... and of course it didn't give me my discount den discount. After doing that, the manager is still helping the interrupter and ignoring me so I go ask Abel Sarmiento for assistance in canceling the incorrect ticket I had just purchased and he refused and said he cannot do that. I started to talk about customer service as he is pointing to the manager that NEVER helped me. I took a picture of his badge and he told me to erase it. I told him no and then he aggressively came towards me so i walked away and got the heck out there as no help is available. I got to my hotel and I cancelled the flight that I booked an hour ago and it charged me 99$ fee on top of not giving me my discount den discount. Clearly - i WILL NEVER get help here (FRONTIER) so we will be disputing our go wild passes with the credit card and blasting this all over the internet until I am important enough to get customer service.. maybe when Erica Rocha in Phoenix is done helping the "more important customer then me" SHE can contact me and provide some service? We all know that would never happen as they no longer let you speak to people... I hate how I used to support this company and am out thousands currently with this debacle and go wild passes...... IT IS AS BAD AS WE ALL SAY IT IS!! I WAS DESPERATE TO FLY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND SEE THE REST OF THE NATIONAL PARKS...... I thought Frontier was the answer.....FRONTIER is NEVER the answer -- I drove 14000 miles visiting 22 national parks last summer -- really didn't want to drive the rest but with no service, you really can't get help with this company. read more

Terrible company. They upsell an option on your ticket called "flight flexibility." I purchased this option because I knew there was a possibility I'd need to make changes to the ticket. The situation arose and like any modern human, I went to their website to cancel the ticket. After a couple of days of not getting a voucher, I contacted them to find out why. They told me because I didn't call them to cancel and cancelled online and that disqualified the flight flexibility option. I want to note that nowhere on the cancellation page does it say doing so will void flight flexibility. Also, nowhere as far as I saw when you purchase the add-on does it say you need to cancel a specific way. This company is sleazy and slimy, just pay a little more to fly with a more trustworthy airline. Hope stealing my money was worth it, and I hope they go out of business. read more

Frontier Airlines - Airlines Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

My experience with Frontier Airlines was unacceptable and showed a complete lack of basic customer service. My flight was scheduled to depart at 8:54pm, but the gate was switched without proper communication. As a pregnant passenger, walking a long distance between gates was already difficult. When I finally arrived, there was no attendant present, the screen displayed the wrong destination, and my boarding pass showed boarding at 8:29 yet it was already 8:39. Naturally, I was extremely worried I had missed my flight. When I went back to the original gate to politely confirm, the employee was rude and dismissive. Instead of offering help, she picked up the intercom, announced to everyone that the flight was at another gate (which I had just walked from), and told me to leave before I missed my flight. The complete lack of respect and professionalism was appalling. Even worse, when I returned to that gate, dozens of other passengers were also confused because the screen still showed the wrong destination. Instead of acknowledging people or answering questions, the gate agent repeated the same message over the intercom and dismissed everyone in line, treating paying customers as if we were an inconvenience. This was not a single bad employee this reflects an airline culture that does not value its passengers. The disregard, rudeness, and unprofessional behavior I witnessed from multiple staff members was disgraceful. No pregnant traveler, or any traveler, should be left confused, disrespected, and treated so poorly. Frontier Airlines demonstrated a serious lack of organization, accountability, and basic decency. I will never recommend this airline, and I strongly urge others to reconsider before booking. Terrible customer service from start to finish. read more

Sends delay notification 70 minutes before departure..like you didnt know they were stuck in another city. Morons

I bought a ticket last minute for a funeral. I checked the measurements of my bag and they were the 14"X18"WX 8"D. It was a traveling tote, sold especially for flying and fitting under the seat! My bag is not bulging at the seams to fit my items in. It is firm on the bottom where wheels are and also the handle. As we are all lining up to board there is a lady from Frontier getting a bunch of people to check their bags. I was holding my water and tablet trying to put my Traveling tote in the box. There are about 10-12 other people waiting to use the box. I didn't try and adjust it because she already said I needed to purchase a carry on bag. I was not carrying a purse or anything extra. I was not the only one using the carry on tote (legal size to use) that was pulled aside. I feel that this is a money grabbing scam costing customers $99.00 and Frontier is profiting off of the fees. That is why they have a no refund policy on baggage claims!!!!!! So they can gouge you with it and get higher profits. read more

Dear Frontier Airlines, stop screwing people over on their luggage from point a to point b. Paying $70 a bag one way and $70 back is absolutely outrageous, not only that it was in super small font on the app that I had paid for my luggage to be checked on the first flight and that the $70 didn't cover my return flight. I ended up being confused because the app said I had added a check bag purchase already and showed 0.00. After waiting in a large line of people at the Miami airport I then had to pay $104 to check my bag at the counter. I didn't want to hold the line or miss my flight ( which I almost did because of how bad the line was at frontier and through security ) paying $174 total for my one bag is robbery and I will never fly frontier again. read more

Without a doubt, the worst airline ever. I am surprised their ads don't brag about offering complimentary air to breath Seriously though they are probably trying to figure out a way to change for breathing, they charge for every other thing imaginable. Now let's complain about the planes. By far and away these are some of the uncomfortable seats in the airline industry. I would highly recommend paying a little more and being comfortable and flying an airline that actually values you as a passenger. read more

NEVER EVER FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES!! I wish I could give them a negative star They don't give you one carry bag free per passenger, you will pay more for a carry on than you paid for the flight. Then when you check in on their app, if you have more than one person on your reservation "it" will put all passengers far away from each other. Then tell you that you can't change your seats because, "the flight attendants have to keep track of where you are." read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I'm like many who rarely leave bad reviews. I do not recommend this airline at all! I arrive with a little less than a hour before take off. I have no bag to check in, I just need my boarding pass so I can move on. They allow no check ins after 1 hour before boarding. When has that been a rule? Amazing way to screw over your customers. Not to mention the untrained staff that has no idea what they are doing. No work around. They are all clueless and they just stand there and stare at you. I recommend ANY other airliner. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience from start to finish. There are no employees to help with baggage, and check-in until about an hour to your boarding time. Their customer service is sub-par, and they act like tour bothering them, when all you wanted to do is check in, and board. The inside of the plane is filthy, unsanitary, trash left under the seats, and closed up in the tray area. Do not recommend, and will never fly this airline again. read more

Thank you Ivan with the red hair for being considerate and helpful. One of the nicest person I've ever met.

I don't have one good thing to say about this airline. It's really not that much cheaper than a regular flight once you have to pay for your seats and even a carryon. Every single flight and connecting flight was delayed, the staff was rude, and the gates kept changing. The seats are awful, and I had to sit through their promotion spiel on every flight. I will avoid Frontier Airlines at all costs. read more

This is the worst experience I've had with a grown adult. I had a flight that left from Arizona to San Diego and this was my first time flying by myself, I asked the lady in the front to help me (she wouldn't give me her name) but she's older with glasses, frizzy dirty blonde hair, short and a little bit on the thicker side. I asked her to help me out to check in because this is my first time flying by myself and I'm a young girl and she told me, "If you want me to do everything for it'll be $50". I said, "I'm not asking for all of that but can you help me out a bit I don't know what to do". To which she said, "figure it out or get out line". I missed my flight and nobody would help me and I was sobbing and annoyed and scared about what to do. Mind you Phoenix isn't my home town. So I went to the information center and this older gentleman walked me back over there after telling him my situation and helped me out. The supervisor (a young African American man) was being very rude to him and there was arguing back and forth and I'm in the middle of it. Eventually a kinder young African American lady helped me out with a flight that leaves the next day. Even she said to the supervisor and the lady "She's a kid I wouldn't want anybody treating my kids like this" and by the grace of God she helped me out with another flight. No body told me sorry expect the people that didn't do anything to me and told me not to ever fly frontier no matter how cheap it is. read more

Can I put zero? So far they are my least favorite airline. Nickel and dime you to death. Just joining the club of people that dont like this airline. The electronic boarding passes dont keep up with actual boarding times. Just lame. Prob ok if you want to go to one place with no luggage and you dont really care when. But the folks that work there are fine. Whats gonna happen if you dont bring your own air? read more

What a nightmare!!!!! We boarded the plane late, sat on the runway and after an hour the captain came on the intercom to say that he and his crew had timed out. Timed out means they had worked the allotted hours and basically we were of no concern. The plane came back to the terminal, and I missed my Grandsons birthday. No comps, no nothing. I had a return with Delta and because we didn't fly I lost the return trip and all the money spent on the return ticket. If I ran my business like this I would be out of business. I do not recommend this airlines because time is too valuable. Will this airline change? Do they fill sorry? Did they make a mistake? Yes, but that does not seem to matter. Good luck! read more

Advertised low airfare then nickel and dime you. Until you're at the same price as the other airlines only much more frustrating.

This was my first time flying with Frontier Airlines, and it will definitely be my last. It was one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had. The entire process was completely unorganized, and the lack of customer service was shocking. There was no one available to help, no clear communication, and no support when issues came up. I would not recommend Frontier to anyone looking for a smooth or reliable flying experience. read more

Frontier Airlines - Nasty Frontier. - Airlines Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This airline advertises being the most "green" because they highly encourage you to travel light as carry-on and checked bags are not included. Best to take the bundle which includes your reserved seat, but that discounted ticket price nearly doubles when you do so. Staff was unfriendly and never saw a smile on either of the 3 attendants. Did not feel welcomed at all. Everything is ala carte, including soft drinks and bottles of water even $3. Advise; pack your own snacks and beverages. Seats are pretty tight and trays are mini at best. Luckily the middle seat was empty so the gentleman to my right and I could breath a bit and ther was enough room to place a jacket in between. Flying should be about the "experience" and unfortunately this was just "meh". Don't think I'll fly with them again for awhile unless there aren't any other options. read more

By far the worst airline I've ever used. I can't believe they don't try to charge you for the air you use inside their aircraft, they charge for literally everything else, including carry on bags - ridiculous. By the time you pay for all the additional fees, it's the same price as a good airline.
