Let me just start this review off by saying I am very particular about my vehicles and have high expectations when I entrust them to anyone, whether for maintenance or getting a service such as installation of paint protection film. This being said, every time I get a new car, which is very frequently, the first thing I do is take it to Matt & Jake at Frontguard. They have installed film on over 10 vehicles for my family and I over the past few years, ranging from smaller cars like my GTI or Mini to even full size HD pickup trucks. The quality of work is never less than perfect each time and the price is very reasonable considering the quality of film and attention to detail during the installation process. I've always recommended Frontgard to anyone who not only wants to protect the finish of their cars, but have quality film installed by a company that times pride in their work.

Avoid this business at all costs !! I took my brand new 2025 Lucid to them and had a horrible…read moreservice experience. Initially I was quoted 2 days for the work to be completed. It turned out to be a full 9 days before I received the vehicle back. Upon inspection, I noted a few areas that appeared to be flawed with bubbles/ lines, etc. I was assured that this was a normal part of the curing process, and to allow a week or two for the film to adjust. About two days later, I noticed that the film was completely lifting off of the trunk of my vehicle. I was told that the tech didn't cut the piece long enough. I gave them back the vehicle for a second application of the PPF to the trunk area. They took another 4 days to have the film reapplied. Again, I received the vehicle back with imperfections that I was assured would adjust in the curing phase. On my follow up appointment, after the curing phase, an area on my trunk had not adjusted as I was advised it would and required yet another (3rd) application of the PPF. I took the vehicle back a third time, at which point they were also to apply the windshield protection film to the vehicle. I was promised a day, it took an additional two. On the day I was supposed to receive the vehicle back, I received a call advising me that during the 3rd application to the trunk they had lifted the paint off of my vehicle (they are not a body shop). Therefore the vehicle had to be towed to a body shop for painting. That took about 5-6 weeks. Once I received the vehicle from the body shop I was able to fully inspect the windshield film that was applied to the vehicle. Upon inspection I noticed the very same imperfections (bubbles, lines, etc) on the windshield. Some of these are in the actual field of vision for the driver and obscure the view. So now, this is another thing I will have to have redone. Overall, it just seems like really sloppy work. They claim to have 20+ years experience in the business, but I did not receive a level of service that reflected that at all. Don't believe me? Check out Google reviews. You'll see more of the same type of experiences. Beware !

I really wanted to tint my windows to help block out the sun for my infant. Kie and Van were fantastic. The rest of the staff were so professional too. The lobby/waiting area was very comfortable and clean. I was actually able to wait for my service on site with my daughter. They offer a huge variety of services and they're in a good location. I highly recommend BWI Motorsports for tint, wraps, protection films, and other auto customizations.

Super honest, capable and quick. They also recommended a motorcycle shop nearby for me.read more

I brought my truck to Dad's Garage in Owings for three relatively straightforward items:…read more * TPMS sensor programming * Tire balancing * Diagnosing an emergency brake-related clunking noise under load I had an 8:00 AM appointment scheduled well in advance, yet after TWO full days, the truck sat untouched until around 2:00 PM on the second day. This was a job that realistically should have taken a couple of hours. The TPMS issue was never resolved. Initially, I was told the sensors had been programmed correctly and that the warning lights were caused by incorrect tire pressure -- one of the most ignorant explanations I've ever heard from a mechanic. The reality was simple: the inner rear TPMS sensors were never programmed at all, which was the entire reason the truck was brought in. They eventually admitted that after the fact. Next was the wheel balancing. My truck has custom powder-coated wheels. Instead of using stick-on weights like the factory setup already had, they installed hammer-on steel weights on the OUTER edge of the rims, damaging the powder coating in the process. Any competent shop should have immediately recognized the proper balancing method after removing the existing stick-on weights. As for the emergency brake concern, they never properly diagnosed it. I specifically brought the truck in for a loud noise under load -- not the normal sound of the electronic parking brake actuator engaging. They dismissed the issue without ever meaningfully reproducing or testing the concern. To top it all off, they broke a wheel stud using an impact gun on the lug nuts rather than properly torquing them as a qualified mechanic should. Because of the excessive use of the impact gun, I now have concerns about stretching or cracking of the remaining wheel studs and will likely be replacing all of them as a precautionary safety measure. Between the damaged powder coating on the wheels and the wheel stud issue, I am now facing well over $1,000 in damages to either have the wheels professionally re-powder coated or replaced, along with replacing the studs they improperly handled. What made the experience even worse was my conversation with Mike, the owner. From the beginning of the call, he was defensive and adamant that everything had been performed correctly -- until several of those claims were proven untrue. Once confronted with the facts, the conversation quickly became unprofessional, including yelling on the phone rather than attempting to resolve the situation appropriately. Two days wasted, damage to my wheels, unresolved issues, poor communication, and additional damage caused while the vehicle was in their possession. This experience was frustrating from start to finish. Steer clear of Dad's Garage unless you want your vehicle returned with more issues than it had when you dropped it off.

What an unbelievably wonderful experience I had at Severn Auto Body-Chinquapin in Annapolis, and…read moreespecially with regional manager Todd Chilcote! Several years ago the front end of one of our cars was damaged when someone backed into us. It was repaired at a collision shop in Annapolis, but the left front fender panel was not properly secured to the body and kept coming loose. I just tapped it back into place each time, but over time it got worse so I looked into getting it repaired properly. I took it back to the body shop that did the original work, and they gave me an estimate of $300+, much more than I wanted to spend. So last week I headed to Chinquapin Round Rd. area where there are at least 3 collision shops. I stopped first at Severn Auto Body-Chinquapin. I hesitated because it's a big facility with a huge parking area, which I assumed would entail paperwork, bureaucracy, and higher costs. But the totally unexpected happened - as I explained to the desk rep that I was looking for an inexpensive practical fix for a loose fender, regional manager Todd Chilcote overhead me, introduced himself, and offered to take a look. He then asked for the keys and said he'd be back in 10 minutes, and he was! The fender was securely fastened again, and when I asked him how much for the service, he said it's FREE! Can you believe?! Now I'm sure that virtually all other vehicles serviced at this body shop need formal estimates and repairs are not free ... but it's nice to know that a senior manager is willing to find practical, simple solutions for their customers. Thank You Todd!

Then they refuse to give me a refund because the receipt had the wrong person's name. Unfortunately, this place is toxic. The GM spoke disrespectfully over me and then tried to make me hide in a back private room because he didn't want his other customers to hear about his inappropriate business practices, definitely not recommended! Deserves zero stars.
