    I am writing an updated review for a review I left this week. The manager after seeing my review…read morehas communicated very well with me to address my issues with items I purchased. Apparently, the items were by mistake sent out without being checked over for defects. The company acknowledged this and credited me for their mistake. They did advise to always get pictures emailed before ordering from a salvage yard which will be very helpful to anyone who orders. Since I couldn't remove the rating from before , I wanted to give credit to the staff who graciously helped resolve the issues with our order. I don't know what his problem is each time I encounter him he's always rude and obnoxious given me word for word!! I've experienced on two occasions with him!!! First time it was pouring down raining he told me I had to take my headlight bulb out of my car , once I returned soaking wet with the bulb he said "This bulb is blown " never sold me a new one just dismissed me and I walked out , second time I went in the store it was witnesses I immediately told him I'm not going back and forth with you today I'm not in a good head space so he remained silent and transferred out my warranty front brake pads . Today like every other time I encounter him again!!! For my back brake pads @ 2:30pm he checks inside the box which he didn't do the 2 weeks prior all my records are in your system!!! These are not your back brakes ma'am . I didn't know the brakes were smaller I'm not a mechanic!! So I paid when I already knew I had the old ones in my trunk so I went out to my car and came back with the old brakes he implied was trying to get over !! I stated ALL MY BRAKES COME FROM THIS STORE SIR!! So I left I told him I'll be back for my $80 to be returned on my discover card TODAY!! At 3:45 pm I returned to the store!! This time it was different employees on site but Mr. William after I stood in the line for 10 minutes asked me if I had my receipt and the old cores in the box which he didn't prior too when I returned my front brakes. Once he did my return he handed me a small return ticket and told me my receipt wasn't relevant !!! I told him it's very relevant to me so then he handed me my original receipt!! It's sad that I can go to Westminster and receive impeccable customer service from Tim , but in the City it's very stressful and unacceptable behavior displayed by these seasoned employees!!! That should have a more professional demeanor!! My name is Leah M Gray !!! It's spelled Lia Gray in your system which causes very unnecessary confusion!!

    Let me say first that overall I think this is a good location *Baltimore National Pike - Woodlawn)…read more There was an older man, and two women there that provided exemplary service. I went to purchase a battery for my Mercedes, and one of the women was very helpful with that. They provide free installation. There was a younger guy there that she was working with to install that battery. He didn't seem very confident or interested in installing the battery, but the woman was guiding him through it. At some point they had finished and all he needed to do was just secure the battery in place. The lady went inside, and he stayed outside screwing the parts in that hold the battery. I waited and we were all done! Except one thing. He'd mistakenly left a part out of the car. So he looks to me, with the part in his hand and asked "Do you really want this in there?" Ummm...huh? I asked him, did it belong in there. Because, I'm thinking well you took it out, so it must serve a purpose. He tells me it is just used to hold the battery in place, but the battery is secure. He wiggled it a bit to show me that it was locked in, but didn't put the part back in. He didn't want to have to unscrew the battery again, and put the part where it belonged. So, now I have this random part that I'm holding on to, because it belongs in my car, he just didn't put it in there because he didn't want to have to pull the battery back out. That's the only reason I'm giving this rating only 3 stars. I have no clue what that part really does, but it makes me very uncomfortable that he just left it out and didn't put it back in. If I bring my car for service, I expect it to leave with all the parts it came with. lol Craaaazzzy. I didn't push the issue because the fact that he really asked me if I want it told me enough. So, yeah...watch out for that guy if you need something installed on your car.

I went outside and waited 30mins then went in stood in line and asked for a battery check. The manager was very rude, unprofessional and unapproachable. He presented himself as doing his job was an inconvenience. I would have purchased a battery for them if the customer service was appropriate. I will never go to this Advance Auto ever again. And will be contacting the BBB with a complaint.

    Been here 3 times for different services. Customer service is very good and I've never had a…read moreproblem with their work. I like how easy it is to book services online and make appointments. Everything is linked to your account so it's easy for them to pull up and another huge benefit is that they have coupons! Pretty good deals on most things but not everything so def shop around and compare. They're usually cheaper than the dealership so that's a plus. I've gotten an oil change here and a 3 step fuel injection cleaning (wouldn't recommend that--good example of one of their overpriced services), a brake check for free, and a wheel alignment/tire rotation. They explain everything and email receipts. Overall I would recommend and I would go back!

I choose pep boys simply because they had the best deal on the tires I wanted for my car. Starting a story like this usually ends with me being disappointed b/c of uncharges, or poor service, or being given a hard sell. None of that happened here. I initially made my appointment for 8am, hoping to be the first one in and get the work done before I had to go to work. Unfortunately, when I spoke to the shop, they mentioned that the online system was wrong and that they don't generally take appointments before 9:30 because they want the extra time to finish any jobs from the prior day. Would have been nice if the online system knew this, but at least they told me before I showed up, so points for good customer service there. I showed up about 15 min prior to my appointment was was checked in very efficiently by the person working the desk. She was friendly but gave me the not-so-welcome news that even though my appointment was for 9:30, they like to allow a couple hrs for service and that It may not be until noon when they are ready for me to get my car. Unfortunately, I had nowhere else to go as I had been planning to just go to work late once the service had been done. I settled into their waiting room figuring I would just hope for the best. In another unexpected turn, the car before mine took them a little longer than anticipated and my car didn't get started on until almost 10am. Only a 30min delay, and they were apologetic, so no big deal. I was able to see them working on my car through the window. Although the service took a lot longer than I would have expected (aprox a full hour) I could see that they were working the whole time, and we doing a very thorough and professional job. In the end, I was out about an hour before the noon estimate. At the end they took my payment and alerted me that my breaks were in need of a service. They didn't hard sell me, they didn't say it needed to be done then and there. They were more professional and less pushy than almost any repair shop I have ever dealt with. TLDR: Great experience, great service, don't expect them to do a super quick job, but they will do it professionally within a reasonable period of time.
