I had a disturbing and Islamophobic experience outside Frontera's Mexican Kitchen at 6555 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, GA. After picking up my order, a white female employee (whom other staff referred to as "Cathy") began shouting at me as I approached my car. She told me to "go back to my country," mocked my religious face covering, called me a "bitch" multiple times, and advanced toward me aggressively while screaming. I repeatedly stated, "If you touch me, I will defend myself," and remained calm. Staff eventually came outside, but instead of addressing her abusive behavior seriously, they asked her what was wrong. One even expressed concern that "this is going to be bad" -- seemingly more worried about public perception than the safety of a visibly Muslim woman being harassed.I later captured her license plate as she drove away.

I came here with a large group of about 10-15 and I loved that they had an outdoor area for seating. The food was delicious and the service was great as well. I believe if you have a large party, gratuity is automatically added. Someone from our group did eat the 16 inch burrito and as stated on the menu they received a tshirt.

Calm atmosphere. I arrive towards the end of lunch hour with the intent of getting a lunch special, but i opted for their new QUESABIRRIA TACOS -Traditional Jalisco style stewed beef, melted Oaxacan cheese, onions, cilantro and a side of consomé for dipping. So delicious and my server/bartender was very friendly and attentive! Above and beyond service. Very informative and provided suggestions. Clean bar and restaurant. Loved the music playing softly and the variety of music played setting the tone for the visit.

Definitely recommend! The flavors and service were both excellent! I had the chicken burrito and it was amazing. My only con would be that the burrito was somewhat deconstructed, which I wasn't expecting. It said it came with tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream, but they were all on the side which made it a little difficult to eat. Also, know that the burritos come smothered. I ordered a burrito because I thought it would be portable because I was taking it to-go to eat outside, but I couldn't pick it up because of the sauce. Not a bad thing at all (the sauce was really good), just be aware that the burrito is not the move if you're looking for something you can eat on the go. We also got a free bag of tortilla chips, which we weren't expecting :) The location is also very convenient to the convention center if you're in town for a conference like I was.

This place is still serving up great food! It looks great, fresh ingredients, nice cocktails, yummy salsa choices! I had the spinach quesadilla and it was stuffed full of fresh spinach, fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and cheese. It was really delicious. All the taco choices are tasty, you can't go wrong here. The sangrita is a mix of sangria and margarita- it was fab! I'll order this one again. Kids get a free ice cream cone with their meal so be sure to ask for it. This place is pretty large and can accommodate lots of people. Music was playing in the bar on a Saturday night. Overall an enjoyable visit just like the last.

I honestly didn't know there were many locations of this restaurant. I pass it by my house daily and I have lived here four years. This time I wanted to try a different place so I said let's give them a try. The wait was short and immediately after seated a waitress came. I must say the service overall is great! They are on it with the drinks, answers questions, and even received a new waiter due to shift change and the transition was smooth. I ordered the enchiladas and my daughter had the nachos. It was a 2 for $22 deal with a dip or dessert and entree. One thing that was disappointing was the nachos wasn't loaded and only had beef and cheese. We thought they would be fully loaded. My enchilada were okay and the cheese dip seemed thin. Now my drink was awesome! It was a Sangrita and it was the best!

Frontera is the best. We come here about once a week. I don't care much for the beef here, but everything else here is great!

Can my dog sit outside at the sugarloaf frontera?

I would like to think yes but final answer is No. The dog may scare Frontera's customers away.

There were 8 of us total (4 adults and 4 kids). The food was great. Everything came out on time at the same time. Service was on top of it. Food tasted great. I had the birria tacos, my wife had the veggie fajitas, our friends had the blackened salmon tacos and the birria quesadillas. The restaurant has a fair number of TVs, which allowed everyone to have a view of the soccer match. Definitely have to keep this place in mind for other family dinner nights. We live on the other end of Johns creek, so often head to Senior Patrons or Seven Tequilas. Terrazas is definitely better quality food than both of those restaurants.

We were actually thankful to be at the bar b/c there were a lot of families (they deserve a night out too) with small children who had those high-pitched screams... hahahaha, our children are older, so we don't love that sound anymore. The robots are always fun taking drinks to tables. Go & enjoy!

I just made sure to ask for extra pickled onions because they are delicious. My husband had a beef burrito with cheese dip, rice, and beans. Alejandro did bring three sauces for us to try with different levels of heat, but I opted not to try any of them after I tried one and I didn't like the taste. I was good with just the salsa that came with the chips. I ordered a flan to go and I would give that a six out of 10. I don't ever have to have that again. The bathrooms were clean and really smelled nice. Whatever air freshener they are using in the women's bathroom is a 10 out of 10. Parking here is free and is first come first serve. There is a lower parking area available if the top level is full. The parking lot is shared with other restaurants and businesses in the same complex. I would definitely come back here to try something else recommended by the staff.

Heavy on the tequila choices for sure! I had a Baja fish taco and a side of rice with queso on it. Both were delicious. I'll be 65 at the end of this month . I told her that doubled her tip!
