The food is always amazing and comes out quickly and fresh! There may be a wait sometimes, but has never been very long for us. Only downside, the past 2 time we have been there, we arrived around 7:30 and had the same young waitress. She made us feel rushed and unwelcomed, probably because she wanted to leave and go out on the Friday night. I understand that its a Friday night, but she is a waitress at a desirable restaurant... If we walk in and are seated at her table again, we will certainly asked to be moved. The food is wonderful, but the waitress we have had ruined our recent experiences. For this reason, we enjoy getting take-out often times. Their pizza is the best in this area- definitely worth the extra couple of dollars. read more

Always a solid choice. I haven't eaten anything I didn't enjoy. The pizzas are great, so are the sandwiches. I almost always get the chicken piccata. My only issue would be that they should give you more potatoes on the side, it's always too little. Otherwise I enjoy and recommend. read more

From what I've been reading, I wonder if these other reviewers ate at the same restaurant I did. I follow an age-old tip when trying out Italian restaurants. Just order a plain old plate of spaghetti and meatballs. If they can do that right, then the other entrees are worth a shot. Well... the spaghetti was horrible. Pasta was over cooked and the sauce was far too sugary. The meatballs were more breading and binder than meat. My wife ordered the eggplant parm. Again, the sauce was too sweet, and the eggplant itself was over cooked and under seasoned. The garlic knots that everyone raves about can be done better at home with a tube of Pilsbury dough. Save your money, folks. I'd honestly rather eat at Olive Garden... and I hate Olive Garden. read more

Dinner with husband and teenage son on a Thursday night. Not too busy when we arrived but people were waiting for a table when we left. We had he Gnocchi in Vodka Sauce, Lobster Ravioli and Fettucine Alfredo with salads and an appetizer. We enjoyed everything and will return. Would give 4.5 stars if able. While I regularly ride by the strip mall where From The Boot is, I had never visited as I thought it was another 'pizza/sandwich' joint. But one Saturday, after visiting the Paperback Trader (another great place!!) next door, my friend and I decided to jump in, grab a slice and go. WELL...this place was AMAZING. Cute decor with wood burning stove, lowered lighting - just a warm, cozy feeling that wiped away our rush-rush, 'get it done' task list. We sat and chatted and ATE. We ordered from the lunch menu and had a hard time deciding. Friend had a generously sized Caesar salad and I had the pasta fagioli, which was delicious with bow tie pasta, cannelloni beans, nice little chunks of tomato...yum!! We both ordered the cheese ravioli - you could taste the freshness, tender hand made ravioli. The waitress was pleasant, attentive to refilling our drinks and checking on our satisfaction with friendly chit chat added points to the visit. One note - it's BYOB, so plan on bringing your favorite bottle of wine with you. To sum it up, to walk in expecting a re-warmed pizza slice and walking out an hour later after savoring good food with a good friend - and a bill that was under $25...awesome! Don't be fooled by the strip mall, bland visual - get yourself there soon! Oh, yeah - one more thing - as I was craving another taste of awesomeness, the family decided to show up at 5 on another Saturday and the place was PACKED. We heard about From the Boot from a friend who raved about it. We have been to the Ambler location, but we love this location in Blue Bell even more! You can't beat the BYOB, small plates, mussels and entrees. We go out of our way to dine here! We would recommend this to everyone looking for a good Italian meal in a family type setting. read more

I would have given this 5 stars, but just learned that the owner is no longer willing to make the 16" take out pizzas, "because of quality assurance". We have never had any quality issues with our 16" carry out pizza. We have been doing take out from another well known Pizza Place in Blue Bell for decades and we love the option of 2 different types of pizza for take out, but no longer. So sad to hear this! Came here for dinner with my parents. Parents moved to Blue Bell from Hoboken. Waitress was very nice and friendly, I believe her name was Amanda. Had the Shrimp Parm which was fantastic. Shrimp tasted fresh and it was a big size portion. Dad had Chicken Scarpiella which he said was amazing. Big portion as well. Mom had the Veal Francese which she said was the best veal she has ever eaten. Decor was very nice and it was not to pricey. Seemed fair for the portions and the taste of the food. Service was very fast and the food came out quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone in this area. read more

Not sure what is going on but all three locations separated. All were consistent in quality and service although Ambler was our favorite. Three visits to the Blue Bell location in past several months have shown these qualities have slipped. Very slow service and inattentive service. The pasta soup is nothing like Ambler, the pizza, undercooked and flimsy and a hoagie with the first bite having large portions of lettuce and tomatoes spill from the sandwich with the meat spilling out the back of the roll with the first bite. Guys, shred the lettuce cut the tomato's and onions and put a sufficient portion of oil and mayo to give it taste. Three other people in restaurant yesterday but server provided me with a ceasar salad instead of ordered house. Management should weigh in with any thoughts. read more

Went on Friday night for the first time. They don't take reservations but the wait wasn't too bad (probably 20 mins). The restaurant is very small - maybe 12 tables - and there is a busy take out area by the door, but the atmosphere was fine. The service was good; staff seemed knowledgable and had the right mix of attention without overdoing it. At our table we had pizza, sandwiches, chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo, and a seafood special. Everyone loved their meal. We stayed at our table for almost 2 hours talking and no one pushed us out, which was great! read more

The rolls were good. For the price they charge for a meat sauce on a bowl of spaghetti, should be A+. Unfortunately, it is obvious they use the cheapest ground meat in their Meat/Bolognese sauce. What a pricey place for cheap food (but they charge premium prices), no ambiance, no liquor license, so-so service. Never going back. read more

The food here is great and the rolls are to die for. The entrees are all very big servings, and there is more than enough to take home. Also, it's BYOB, so you can have a great meal here and still stay within a reasonable budget. The one downside is the restaurant itself - it's in a strip mall, and the inside is a little crowded. I met friends for dinner around 7pm on a Friday evening, and despite the great food and drinks, it was just an OK dinner since there was a family sitting almost on top of us with a bunch of screaming kids. It would be nicer if the tables were farther away from each other, or at least positioned differently. This is still a great place to go, however. read more

We've been to this BYOB several times. The food is outstanding but service is slow!! We had Nia this evening and we were there for almost 2 hours! If she would have taken the time to come to our table with some kind of update on when our food would be done, I would have been happy, but that never happened!! Our first time there was Thursday evening...a great place and awesome food. Fresh and tasty ! It was worth the 25 minute wait. It is small and most nights I am told there is a wait. The decor isn't particularly fancy in From The Boot but it's warm and the food is tasty. My husband and I ate here last night which was our third time at the restaurant. We like the BYOB aspect since it reduces our bill and we love the tasty food. We are always started off with complimentary garlic rolls which is a great beginning. Last night my husband chose the Chicken Florentino and I choose the Steak and Pepper pasta dish. The flavors were awesome but there were a couple things we were disappointed in. The menu states the Steak and Pepper dish has asparagus in it. While this is true, we were unimpressed that this meant that snippets (1/2" long pieces) of asparagus stems were in the dish--no spears. Additionally, the sauce in both of our dishes but especially the Steak & Pepper meal was very thin. I had already eaten my rolls so I had to ask for a spoon to finish the sauce since there was no way it would stick to the pasta. The wait staff at From The Boot was very attentive and that was nice but we wish they would slow down on trying to clear away our dirty dishes . . . . several times there was still food on the plate or we had just taken the last bite and hadn't even had time to set down the fork before someone was looking to take our dishes. This left us feeling a bit frustrated. read more
