This place was really nice over all! -- once seated, almost immediately someone came over to take our order, I chose the Cheese Steak Hoagie (California Cheese Steak) which is my personal favorite on their menu, it was Hot, Flavorful and hit the spot. But what made the experience at Amedeo's even better was the amazing service they offered during the duration of our time there! The staff was very nice and welcoming and they don't mind if you ask for small request's or changes on your order. Everything went right about our visit. :) Pretty sure that Aleesia (no idea the spelling) was the most lovely server I've ever experienced, and I've worked in the service industry nearly my entire life. She is what stood out most of all, since she was genuinely lovely, kind, helpful, and there just when we could use something. Now for the food: I ordered the Italian grinder. I travel around the country/world, and most people have no idea what a grinder is. Oh was it good! Filled with deli meats, cheese, lettuce-tomato-onions, with additional cheese on top, and maybe Italian dressing?, and then the entire thing is heated in the oven. The rolls were sooooooo good. I ordered pickles on the side. My father order penne with meatballs/sausage (50/50), which came with a nice salad and the perfect, warm rolls with butter. I ordered cheese fries, and again, blown away because they were so good--piping-hot, crispy on the outside, fresh on the inside, and that gooey, decadent cheese over top. We were there at 3pm, so there weren't many other diners at that hour, which worked well for us. My father uses a walker, and it works well since there are no steps to navigate. The double door area is a bit tight for when I wanted to squeeze around and open each door for him, but we managed fine. Before we left, Aleesia provided all sorts of supplies for us to take our leftovers with us. Then I was chatting at length with the next server. By mistake I left without my nice sunglasses, and when I returned, she was relieved to see me, and had put them aside for me. This is a home-town, neighborhood restaurant where the owners have been there for decades, and they take pride in serving the community really exceptional, quality food. Very disappointed in my pick up order tonight. First pick up we were given someone else's order which was discovered when we sat down to eat. Called the restaurant and they TOOK BACK the order to give to original person! Isn't that unsafe to take back returned food? On SECOND attempt back to the rest, we picked up the correct order and again attempted to eat dinner. The order was COLD and INCORRECT! The chicken cheesesteak was so soggy and quite frankly I couldn't eat it. Called the restaurant a second time and they finally agreed to refund. We got a Zep but the meat wasn't salami but bologna and the cheese wasn't provolone either but American cheese. You can't call it a Zep without cooked Salami. FYI a Zep is provolone, cooked Salami, tomatoes, onions, oregano and oil and traditionally on a Kaiser roll. This was a hoagie so the roll was ok. Very disappointed. Won't be getting one there again. Please rename this sandwich because it's definitely not a Zep. read more

We hired Amadeos for our baby shower and people are still talking about how great the food was weeks later! Beth went above and beyond to help us with choosing a great menu and even came to our house to make sure everything would be set up correctly beforehand. Joanna and Missy helped serve and clean up during our party and they were the sweetest helping our older guests! We ate leftovers for a week that's how generous portions were. Amedeos is a nice spot. A friend recommended it for the best cheesesteaks around these parts. Now I've been in Eastern PA for awhile, but honestly I've never gone for one it's never been my kind of thing. I got a deluxe cheesesteak to make the experience extra special, it was pretty good and filling. Something I want all the time? Nah. Would I tell others to check it out, sure thing! Yes I ate it with a fork and knife, judge me all you want, and I managed. It is a heavy meal so I'd think this is the perfect food to have with some beer or your drink of choice. Service was a mix, one of our tables orders got missed but it got back to us soon and we had a lot of orders so no big deal. Was told I'd get a box and we sat there for awhile, seemed like they forgot it since they were so busy. But it's got a down to earth local business vibe and I wouldn't hold it very much against them. Parking in the area during the lunch rush is a little annoying, there's some parking in the back but we ended up having to walk down the street a bit more once we finally found a spot. I love this place. I have been eating here for over 15 years. The food is authentic and is very good. Hoagies - Pizza - Salads - soups - Stromboli - burgers - chicken and beef. They even make 72" hoagies and do catering. The seats need rebuilt but that is only because above average weight people eat here - that's how good it is. read more

Amedeos is definitely a quaint throwback restaurant. What do I mean by that? Well the service is very personal and the waitresses treat you like a regular. Honestly this is a restaurant where most of the customers are regulars. That is something that you don't get often today. It means that their food and service is so good that they keep people coming back for more. On this visit I stuck with my staple of a shrimp basket. I know it's basic and nothing special to order but I like it. My childhood came to life as soon as the waitress sat it in front of me. They also have pizza although it's not known as a pizza joint they have some good pizza. There is also a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches that you can get. No offense intended to the reviewer who loves them. Parking is a pain in the neck when it's busy due to a small and awkward lot. To make matters worse, many of the patrons aren't very good at parking in small, awkward lots. I'll keep my theories on that to myself. I have ordered from Amadeo's Too countless times. They typically have solid pizza and decent hours. I can't say I always get a super customer service experience, nor can I say it's among the best pizza I've ever had, but it's pretty good and it's conveniently close. I'd probably rate them four stars, but tonight I was disappointed. Let's be honest, you end up writing reviews on Yelp when you feel strongly about one or multiple experiences. Tonight I felt strongly enough to write a review. We ordered a ham calzone. The calzone was very clearly just a pound of sliced deli meat slapped right into the middle of the calzone. It was excessive. It was a solid pile of meat. There was no ham on either side of the calzone, just a 3" x 5" rectangle of ultra salty meat stuck right in the middle. Only at Amadeo's Too have I ever had a ham calzone like this, and it's actually the second time. Once, you might just say 'they were in a hurry' or 'maybe it was a new cook', but when it happens again it's worth mentioning. I was sharing it with two other people, we had to take apart the whole thing so that everyone would get some of the ham. I honestly would've just reached out to the owner, but there wasn't a way to do that on their website, so Yelp it is. Photo included. read more

It amazes me that a site as popular as Yelp, someone hasn't reviewed Amedeos Too restaurant. The original was in King of Prussia, but it folded to become the restaurant in the apartments up Dekalb Pike (but they still do catering). Regardless, this is a small mom & pop'ish Italian restaurant with one menu item that I get almost every day I'm out there to visit: Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak Let me tell you. If you love the taste of buffalo sauce, and the idea of it on a chicken steak, there is absolutely nothing you could eat that is better. They put on just enough sauce, and their 12" sub will fill you up for just over $6. The rest of their menu is good too, but once I had this here, that's all I could get. read more

I worked at the original Amedeo's restaurant in King of Prussia, way back in the 80's. That one has since evolved into a catering business - but the same family owns Amedeo's Too. They scrupulously insist on the very best ingredients for their cheesesteaks - fresh sirloin steak sliced and chopped from the whole steaks on the premises. I should know, I did enough of it! No chintzy frozen strips or steak-umms, this is the real thing. As another reviewer mentioned, the buffalo chicken cheese-steak is out of this world, too. Altogether, this is the sine qua non of Philadelphia mom and pop (literally!) corner joints. Best of the best! read more

We arrived at Amadeos to be greeted by the friendly staff, who told us to sit anywhere. I ordered the western burger, which came perfectly cooked medium with slathering of steak sauce, a ton of fried onions, and a massive amount of fried mushrooms. My wife had the roast beef club, which she said was great. It was very meaty, full of lean roast beef. We also had batter fried mushrooms, and cheese fries as an appetizer. Everything was served by a very friendly waitress, kept stopping by to check that we were OK. My drink, tasty birch beer was always full! We finish this wonderful meal with a slice of strawberry cheesecake that we split. There was plenty for both of us! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. read more

It's hard to bring my 2 little ones places but the staff here are always good with them. The menu has something for everyone and it's very reasonably priced. Fried pickles are a good start and you can't go wrong with the pizza. My favorite is the turkey Ruben. read more

From the outside this looks like your typical hoagie and pizza shop. But Amadeo's has a fantastic menu, and everything is as good as it sounds like it will be. And it's not just typical diner fair, either. The seafood salad always looks incredibly delicious, but there are also lots of other salads, burgers, any kind of hoagies and sandwiches you might want, pasta, burgers, several daily specials, and a lot more. Very diverse menu, and everything is always presented beautifully and very delicious. I don't know how they do it! The dough is thick and delicious and the sauce of by far my favorite of any - a little sweet with an amazing blend of spices. Spaghetti is always perfect. Chicken parm dinner used to be amazing, but they changed the chicken (now it's like one of those Wendy's $1 chicken sandwiches, just covered in sauce and cheese). Salads are also hit or miss-sometimes fresh, most of the times wilted and brown. Chicken cheesesteaks and Strombolis are amazing. Prices are fair and reasonable. Wait staff is mostly polite. I come here quite often with my dad because he is a fan of the hoagies and zeps. As for me, i usually order hot wings and mozzarella sticks. Both are okay, but nothing out of this work. Friendly service and decently clean. They have a child working there that works with her hood up and wears ball shorts. I've also seen her scratching her hair and nose and then continuing to work without washing her hands. She makes me feel very uneasy. read more

I love the staff here! Prices are good too, but... This place could be soooo much more. A lot of freezer to the fryer stuff. The kitchen is open, which ain't a good thing. Quality is iffy at times too. They have had the same specials and soups on the same days for years! Yes, Monday is always tomato soup, etc... I just became aware of this place and it's okay. First time I ordered I got a chicken cheesesteak and it was tasty, and my bf said his blt club was perfectly crispy. My second time, my bf got onion rings and a burger and was highly pleased. However, I got buffalo wings and asked that they be extra crispy and to my surprise they weren't even a little crispy. The skin on the flat backs especially had a texture close to that of boiled chicken. I call d to inform them and they have some lame excuse about them uncrisping(my word) during the delivery travel. Considering I went to school for cooking I knew that wasn't true but didn't even feel like arguing, after all I'm the one who didn't feel like cooking!
