Dined here on a recent week night, we liked the place! The staff was very friendly and efficient. They do mostly a take out business but have plenty of tables for eating in. You order at the counter and food is brought out to you. We started with the antipasto salad, which was really good. Loaded with meat and tuna salad. We then tried a NY style thin crust pizza, which we ordered well done (we like it a bit crispier). Pie came out perfect, the pepperoni and mushroom toppings were great. We loved the pizza! Ordered the "Cooper Sharp Special" cheesesteak with mushrooms, fried onions and hot peppers on a seeded roll. Got an unseeded roll (no explanation), and the cheese puddled out of the cheesesteak and onto the foil. Not at all what was expected. Meh. read more

This used to be a great place for pizza, steaks and other items. Recently they changed their meat purveyor and the cheese steaks are not the correct meat, more like sausage. The chicken is also not real chicken. You can easily taste the difference in the quality of their meats and products. The inside changes are nice and appealing but reducing costs at the quality of product is not acceptable. Unfortunately I will not be able to enjoy this location any longer. Their food is on point. Anything you order is going to be good. Got the Buffalo chicken cheesesteak lightly toasted extra hot sauce. Once with long hots. Do NOT order sandwiches from here, at least not for takeout. We've never ordered pizza or pasta from here, only salads, appetizers, and sandwiches. Maybe their pizza and pasta are fantastic, but I don't think I'll ever go out of my way to find out. First, the good: their salads are huge and satisfying, enough for at least a couple meals (though pricy to match their size), and the salad ingredients are always fresh. If you're craving a big salad, order away. The bad: Order accuracy is pretty bad - if you're getting takeout, make sure you thoroughly inspect everything before you leave. I've had ingredients left out of salads and sandwiches, entirely incorrect sandwiches, and missing dressings on a very regular basis. We only order a few times a year from here, and the mistake rate has been over 50% of orders. Give the appetizers a miss as well - they all seem to be bottom tier prepackaged frozen items, sold at far too high a cost. The more bad: Their sandwiches are terrible. I've tried quite a few different ones over the past 10 years, and I've never had a good one. The Amoroso rolls are supposedly great, but I've somehow only ever received soggy, disintegrating, unappetizing messes. Ingredient ratios are wildly out of whack, the sauces are all sub-par, the cheese is always a solidified layer of plastic on top, and the flavor is never there. The consistency of their sandwiches over the past 10 years has actually been striking... in a bad way. read more

This is our 6th time ordering cheesesteaks. We drive from King of Prussia, passing 20 other pizza and sandwich shops. Every visit prior to this has been satisfying. Ordered 2 cheesesteaks tonite, and asked for hot peppers on the side. The meat was clearly not cooked fresh. It was clumped and thick, like it was just sitting on the grill and they decided to scoop it in. In a word, truly disgusting and inedible. It was crunchy, like it was full of gristle. One major reason we make the commute is for the hot cherry peppers. That's the norm in South Philly, but it escapes most suburban sandwich shops. But this place has them. Asked for 2 ordets and got 2 containers of sweet peppers. That Was As Disappointing As The Quality of The Steak Tonite. Never again. Cos this place is not cheap. read more

Garlic knots are top tier Another major thing this place does. Is when you order fries they come in just tin foil like that's all you need. Legit can safely order fries for delivery and still have them show up fresh!! They have food awareness here. Just the ability to realize you cannot put fries in a close container is incredible to me. I was recommended this restaurant by a friend that lives in KOP. Whenever I order a cheesesteak I always get it with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I wasn't impressed with this unfortunately. It lacked flavor and seasoning. Even with salt, pepper, and hot sauce, I still couldn't get with it. The fries were good though and so was the service! This didn't blow me away but then there is so much great Italian in the northeast, it's takes an exceptional place to get stars out of me. Pizza was crisp and cheesy and the veggie toppings were limited to cheese or mushroom! We were so hungry that we ate the pizza in like 15 mins and wanted more. The owner was nice and warm too! The food here is great but the service was even better. My family ordered multiple pasta dishes and a couple of other items for takeout. The food was all freshly prepared and tasted great. What really impressed me though was that when I got home I noticed one item was left at the store. I called to see if I could get a refund but before I could even ask about a refund they were profusely apologizing for the error and immediately offered to have some deliver the missing item. They did so very quickly. They truly care about their customers at Tosco's! read more

We ordered from here for delivery. They have some good east coast pizza. You know that thing crust, flat cheese and the grease to stain a shirt!! My type of pizza! My mom raves about the Sicilian pizza with the thick crust. I had a side salad with fresh chopped mozzarella. Everything was fresh, no yucky lettuce. went in last night for dinner. We had not been there in a very long time and I was wanting one of their delicious salads. all employees were in the front goofing around. No one ever told us there was no table service any more . some of the tables had not been cleared and the ones that were never got wiped down. after sitting for a while we went and asked about service and was told there was no table service. we asked if we could have a menu and was told they have none only catering ones. only thing to drink is soda from the cooler out front . no fountain drinks. neither of us drink soda. i am ok with no table service but it would be nice if you were told when entering. or even greeted for that matter. there was no one else in there so it wasnt a fact of them being busy. they also should have a sign that they only have the drinks in the cooler. Really disappointed in the changes made. We decided to go else where for dinner. An impromptu gathering of friends resulted in a big group order from Tosco. Those who'd already been raved about the extensive menu, large portions, great flavor, and high quality of food. Turns out they were right. The menu is big--lots of choices! My sister and I'd ordered a salad and a stromboli--this was a great amount for two people. The food was well-made and the flavors were on-point. Plus, the prices were very reasonable! The other orders at our gathering--pizza, meatball sandwiches, and cold subs--all looked and smelled great! We recently moved to the area and got a flyer from this business. After asking around and getting approval I decided to give it a try. We got a primavera pizza which was delicious! The crust was wonderfully crispy and the veggies plentiful. There was the perfect amount of garlic which smelled so good I couldn't wait to dig in! I really enjoyed ordering from Tosco. Their baked penne use to be so good. With the right about of sauce, ricotta and parmesan. The last two times we ordered from there they either put so much sauce or they forgot the ricotta. This time was way too much sauce!!! My boyfriend orders that eggplant Parmesan and he said his was swimming in the tomato sauce. I don't know what happened recently but we haven't been happy with the couple past orders. The don't skimp on toppings, their Sicilian size feeds my family of 6 with leftovers to spare, and it's just sublime. Salivating with anticipation, chills down your spine at first bite quality pizza. Their meat lovers is LOADED, we like getting bacon and pineapple or pepperoni too, all filling and delicious and I'm running out of superlatives. They also make excellent hoagies and hot sandwiches, their steaks and chicken parm are fantastic, just buy it. Put it in your mouth. You'll like it. Your kids will like it.
