While Royersford and the surrounding area may be awash with Italian eateries, it is really easy to find good, bad or indifferent on every street corner. I cannot say I have eaten my way through the menu or nailed every available Italian opportunity...but I stopped here THREE times on my way around the town. I don't know if they had the best pizza, but i can tell you that the stromboli and Calzones were pretty tasty and the servings enormous for the price. Yes, it was not cheap, but it was very good. I honestly think the veggie calzone was not my favorite, it grew more tasty after a day sitting in the fridge. I think some of the veggies were pickled so....meh to that. But it was certainly edible. I'd stick with the meat options in the future. Ordering online was very easy and pickup was efficient.

Again - thanks to the area places closing at 9/9:30 we really were pressed to find a place to eat we could get into without being rushed. After our Thursday debacle at Franzones we found this about 15min away. They closed at 9:30 and we came at 9:00. At first the manager lady pushed back but I promised we would eat fast - much to the chagrin of the waitress. But I kept my word. Ordered Italian fried mozzarella that came with sauce it was incredibly good - the crumbs on it were finely ground making a smith even fry and the cheese was perfect. For my meal I got a Sicilian pizza which I ordered as a medium but upon its arrival was told there's no such thing. I ate two slices and with the clock getting close to 9:30 I kept my word - got a box, asked for the check and we headed out. Would recommend this place - it's in a cool bank building and the decor is and clean.

Pizza is decent. Service is great! The wait on a Friday night is horrid! Order a half hour ahead and pick up!

We've been coming to this location for thirty years with a couple of different restaurants. Sometimes good, others disappointing. Tonight was a home run. LOVED the Dulce zucchini salad. The homemade panko coated ribbons of fresh zucchini were hot crisp and well seasoned as were the 5 large grilled shrimp. The pears were cut carefully into crescents and grilled. Not canned. No sitting in the fridge. FRESH! All this on a bed of fresh arugula. A little too heavy on the dressing for me, but is generosity a sin? A scattering of caramelized onions and shaved Parmesan and there is my new favorite salad. EXCEPT there are a few more to try, like tonight's specials one with peach and burrata and another with blueberries. BTW I like bread with my salad and lately that's been hard to come by. Here they offer garlic bread to accompany your salad for $1.50. SOLD. Partner had the chicken Alfredo. That's his jawn. Tasted good to me cause it had enough garlic . Service was good. Bill was $60 and we took a cheesesteak pizza home .

Mix of four tops - some larger groups ... not a lot of families/ kids though. I was early but they seated me ( appreciated that). Took my drink order - Brought out bread and a really great dipping sauce while I waited. I got the chicken parm w / pasta ... friends got the specials ( a seafood pasta and another pasta dish). We all loved the food! Service was awesome - Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out quickly. One odd thing - the fire alarm went off. But - instead of panicking the staff kept us informed and no one freaked out. It was a malfunction I guess because it went off again for a few minutes but we were told there was no fire etc ( relieved) We enjoy the Library in Collegeville which they also own - they know what they are doing for sure!!

And, last but certainly not least--one of the *best* espresso martinis can be found here. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch and/or dinner.

Meatball Parmigiana Sandwich- good-sized meatballs, red sauce, on tender toasted roll under a thick blanket of cheese! It was really, really good! Pepperoni Calzone- this baby had some heft! Extra heavy dose of GOOD-QUALITY cheese w/ pepperonis throughout, marinara on side, crispy edges, golden brown top, bottom that stood up pretty well to weighty ingredients. But the c'est une tuerie was the Cheese Sacchetti. Have Italian mother-in-law who will only eat ricotta straight from container- despising grainy, dry texture that sometimes happens once baked inside stuffed pasta. The sweet, soft, milky texture of ricotta was maintained during cooking process; fresh pasta purses w/ best cheese filling I've ever had, tossed in Rosa sauce, generous serving, especially for a filled pasta! "Side" salads packed to go- super fresh lettuce popping out the container- huge! Our waitress Jenny showed attention to every detail, from how I wanted leftovers packed, to being sure every dish was brought out at its peak (no food sitting around under heat lamp). Can't account for why experience was so much better this time, but to say Chef Marco was in driver seat & some staff just prepare dishes w/ a little more perfection. Could tell Jenny really wanted us to love this meal so maybe her oversight helped as well. Italian heaven. Will be here on the regular if this is maintained.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

We had heard about La Voglia and decided to try it out! We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't…read moretoo crowded. The restaurant has a warm feel to it and is decorated nicely. They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!
