Went for lunch with people from work. Italian Wedding soup was more broth then anything with minimal flavor. Had the Gnocchi Vodka and it was terrible. The gnocchi were so mushy and flavor less. Only good thing about the meal was the garlic bread! I will not be returning to this place. read more

We had reservations for a group of 8. We tried to use the SpotLuck app for a 10 % advertized discount. The manager refused it for too many people and we ordered a special, also not disqualified on the app. There was not any limits posted on the app. Really disappointed! read more

Quality of food seems to be on a downward spiral fast and we will NOT be going back. My family and I had dinner their a couple weeks back (Saturday night) and ordered our usual which is the mussels in red and white along with some other dishes. When the mussels came out we were just about to eat them when we noticed these "crab like creatures" in the mussels. My wife and I were extremely grossed out and we showed the waitress what was apparently living on the mussels themselves. Her reaction was the same as ours, disgust! She immediately took the mussels off the bill and apologized. At this point you would think a manger will come over talk to us, apologize or whatever. Nope! The manager never came over... nothing! What were the crabs called in our mussels you ask? They are called Pea Crabs, which are parasites and live off mussel, oysters, clams and other species. Feel free to Google it. I chalk this up to not inspecting their food properly. This was a place we would dine a couple times a month and will NEVER return again read more

Food is awesome like their other locations. Way too crowded. Tables are too close together for this location and we counted 25 people that walked away in 10 mins because the wait was too long. Go early or go to Lafayette Hill or Ambler. BYOB read more

After enjoying our meal, the bill came with a notice of a surcharge if we used a credit card to pay. This was very surprising, and there was no notice of this on the front door or on the menu. Honestly, I felt this was a very classless thing to do. While I understand costs may be rising, a surcharge like this is something I find unacceptable, especially when it is tacked onto a meal at the very end of the night. I wouldn't have minded menu price increases to cover the restaurant's additional costs, but adding something like this is sneaky and insulting to your customers. In 2022, using credit cards is just the cost of doing business. After this experience, I'll be sure to not dine there again in the future. So, while you may have saved about $5 last night by charging me this surcharge, you're losing $100+ in revenue every time I would've dined there in the future. For those reading, be aware of this deceptive practice. read more

Great food! I had the salmon, my daughter & grandson had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken; my husband had a chicken sandwich with broccoli rabe, grand daughter had spaghetti from the children's menu, son-in law had chicken Marsala with roasted potatoes. I can honestly say no one was disappointed. Meal was served with hot garlic knots. So glad I found this place on Yelp. Service was good. read more

Nice ambiance, but food was mediocre for the price. Cost us $80 + tip for 3 basic pasta dishes, drinks, and salads. The salads were great, but the pasta was a disappointment. My husband's carbonara with asparagus was particularly bad -- watery and without the creamy texture I usually love. Garlic bread knots were yummy, but hard. read more

SO GOOD!! We had a surprise party here - all of the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Thank you Nia!! I had the garlic rolls, caesar salad and chicken florentine (YUM). Highly recommended. Also kept hearing people rave about their gnocchi - will have to try next time! read more

This used to be our favorite pizza restaurant. We went recently and something was missing - THE WOOD FIRED PIZZA OVEN! Now they just have average pizza like most other joints with a gas pizza oven. read more

Best garlic knots EVER! Pizza is good, pastas are awesome and the service is fantastic!! It is a BYOB so we love that. read more

We always get something different when we come here and it is always amazing. They have the best garlic rolls. They are great for catering too. The catering is very easy, our guests always love it, and the prices are very reasonable. read more

I'm changing my previously high review as I just had a bad experience. Recently went and got take out. Bread tasted weird and yeasty and I ended up getting a bad headache and cough after eating because I'm allergic to high levels of yeast and mold (most breads don't bother me as long as they're baked correctly, this was not). Additionally it was supposed to be garlic bread but there was no garlic on it (I guess someone forgot?). The chicken was an odd consistency and fatty, sauce lacked flavor (penne vodka w/chicken was what I had). My mom had fettucine alfredo with chicken and had similar issues with bad chicken and sauce lacking flavor--specifically lacking the usual cheese/parmesan flavor you would expect. They used to be wonderful but in addition to the food going downhill the wait for eating in/taking out only get longer and longer and the prices aren't as good as they used to be, I believe they've gone up. I wish things would go back to the way they were about a year ago, but I don't see that happening and I'm not likely to go back again. What a shame! read more

Had my rehearsal dinner here this past Thursday with a party of 25. Everything and I mean everything exceeded my expectations. Rebecca made the menu process easy and went out of her way to make sure we had a menu our guests would like. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. read more

So I should start by saying the place smells delicious! The problem is the staff is rude and not very good at their job in terms of hostessing and customer service. My friend called to make our reservation and they were rude to her on the phone because they dont take reservations on weekend. Its just bad management to not do reservations for large parties, that is in everyones best interest. So I called back right before we left and asked how long the wait is for a party of 12, the woman on the phone said no wait come right over so I did. I only live 3/4 of a mile from the restraunt and I left immediately. 5 minutes later I show up and the wait is 1 hour. When I mentioned I had just called her response was "well people just trickled in after you called, and it IS Saturday". There is no way all of those people came in after my call. Then the gentleman waiting next to me said that for his party of 3 he was told 35 minute wait and that was 15 minutes ago. To recap 10 minutes before I called there was a 35 minute wait for a small party then I call and its no wait. When I show up its suddenly an hour. They had no sympathy and were honestly quite short with us when discussing the issue. The food could be great but with this type of service I dont know if I will ever know. read more

The Lafayette Hill location is much better. Menu is identical but the service is slower & not as attentive. Garlic knots also aren't as buttery & garlicy as the LH location :) read more

If you like veal that tastes chewy, shrimp in your fra- diavlo that tastes like leather, and so much garlic in your white wine pasta sauce that it overtakes the entire dish and all you can taste is garlic, than this place is for you. It pains me to give this restaurant even one star. The only half decent dish was the eggplant rollatini appetizer and even that had way too much ricotta in it. The ricotta overtook the entire plate. This is NOT authentic Italian food. After receiving our appetizer it took almost 40 minutes to actually get our entrees and one dish came out with the wrong pasta sauce, which took another 10 minutes. Maybe we should have kept the wrong sauce, perhaps it would have tasted better than the puddle of garlic we ended up with. Needless to say, we will NOT be back! read more

Excellent food, great atmosphere and good service! Definitely a nice place for a family dinner or a family celebration of any kind!

After reading some of the below reviews, either we went to a completely different restaurant OR the people reviewing with 5 stars don't know good, authentic Italian food. I was here about two years ago for my birthday. The food then was decent, but nothing to write home about. Because the place my boyfriend and I were going to head to was closed (shame, because THAT was good authentic Italian), we settled on here. We were seated in the "dining" room area and the hostess told us about it being Wine Wednesday, so we selected a glass and took a look over the menu. We were introduced to our server, and we were later introduced to another server. It took a while to get an order in and there was hardly anyone in the place. My boyfriend went with the baked penne and I went with the gnocchi because they don't offer a gluten free pasta option (poor in my opinion since so many people have a gluten allergy but want to still enjoy a "pasta" variety). The boyfriend's baked penne was dry and burnt and the sauce tasted out of a jar, but we were so hungry, he ate it. My gnocchi on the other hand was over cooked and mush in the mouth. I swapped it out for the lobster ravioli which was ok but the sauce had a metallic taste. While i was waiting for my new meal, the bus boy came over and tried taking my boyfriends plate (he was waiting for my food to come out to be a gentleman). It took forever to flag someone down to get him some water though. We definitely said this will be a last time. read more

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant. I love that they bring out garlic knots to get you started while looking over the menu... so yummy. Their baked penne, lasagna, and pizza are all delicious. The calamari was pretty good but I felt could have used a little more flavor. Portions are smaller than what you'd expect, but it fills you up. I'd rather have a smaller portion of something delicious than a big portion of mediocre food. I enjoy the atmosphere in there because it's not too loud and it's on the smaller side which I really like. It's the type of restaurant where I can finish my dinner and still sit at my table for another half hour or so just talking the night away. You can't do that at many restaurants, so it's a great place to go with friends yiu haven't seen in a while! Oh and a big plus is that it's BYOB! read more

This place is just not good. The quality is about the same as something you could pick up at your local grocery store or pizzeria for about half the price! The only things they have going for them are their ability to accommodate large groups & that they are BYOB. read more

Excellent chicken parm and love that we could bring our own bottle. BYOB

I have driven past this place a million times and didn't know it was a restaurant...I assumed it was a shoe store A friend told me I had to check it out and I'm so glad that I did! The garlic knots were a great start, so fresh and yummy! We started with the stuffed mushrooms as an app and they were the best I've ever had. Next we had Caesar salads, also delicious. For my meal I ordered the homemade gnocchi in a vodka sauce. At this point I was stuffed from the knots, mushrooms and salad but j couldn't not eat what was in front of me, it was that good! Can't wait to go back and try the pizza! read more

This is a nice spot for dinner. They do not take reservations unless you are a part of a large party so def go early on the weekend. It's a byob. The service is great, the food is good and the price is right. Make sure you get your wings well done. read more

Fantastic food. Friendly service. The bread for the table is fantastic, lasagna was excellent, and most plates were clear so I think everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely be back. read more

First time take out customer and I really loved it. I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo and mom got the eggplant parm. Both were excellent and had plenty of pasta and sauce. The Fra was just the right spicy and the shrimp were tender. The garlic rolls were good too. I would definitely go back for take out and might stop by for a meal soon. read more

The food was very good, and the garlic rolls were a pleasant surprise. Between me and the two people I was with we ordered the Gnocci, Veal Parm, and the pasta special. All of us were satisfied with the food. The biggest issue we did have is that the portions were a bit small for the price we ended up paying. If the portions were a bit bigger or the price a bit smaller we would have been happier. In the end, I left satisfied with the quality on the food. The inside is nice and the service was fast, a great place for a night out. read more

Okay - for the last 3-4 years we've been getting the girls together for a holiday dinner. Why this place? It's BYOB. We were so sick and tired of arranging to get everyone together, making the date and time work, having mediocre food, drinks and the bill being astronomical. At From the Boot, they are all around A+++. Excellent food, bring your own drink(s), save room for desert and the best part is, it's affordable. This past holiday season, we made our girls night out an "ugly Christmas sweater dinner". we got lots of looks but who cares - we had a blast and it's something we always remember and talk about. This place is great food, family and memories. Give it a try and I bet you will love it too. read more

Absolutely incredible! Their bruschetta is the best I have ever had, and I have been to Italy! Rustica pizza is amazing along with every pasta dish on the menu. I am moving out of town soon and will miss this place! So affordable as well! read more

Had an issue with the Ambler location a few weeks ago and did let them know. They were incredibly quick with their response and apologetic and took care of the situation! I would recommend From the Boot to everyone wanting great service, and great food! read more

Very good service. Nice servers who made sure we got all we needed. Food was tasty with plenty to eat. Recomend this restaurant to all who want good Italian food! read more

Tried from the boot based on a friends recommendation. We weren't so sure by the staff demeanor but rolled with it and were glad we did. If you want something besides fountain drinks you should bring it yourself. This is a BYOB place. So onto fresh rolls which are worth the wait for them alone. Garlic olive oil and cheese on a crunch doughy pull apart roll...this does not serve it justice. Brush eta was next a bowl came with perfectly toasted crossing and a tasty tomato mixture for you to spoon on yourself keeping it all perfect and not soggy. Pizza carne was well recieved by my husband while I got chicken siciliano with linguine instead of roasted potato. I was happy to have the pasta to soak up the tasty Madeira sauce. While the chicken did not look amazing it was tasty. I did leave wishing the mozzarella had been melted some as it was cold but the chicken was cooked perfectly. It is worth a return visit to explore their menu further. Tasty goodness. read more

Excellent food, I usually get the Chicken Fiorintini entree, and the roasted red peppers, cheese and calamatta olive appetizer.... For $29 it better be delicious, and it is! read more

A Fav spot for BYOB in Blue Bell! The service is superb. Mediterranean menu has specials added daily. Food is delicious... My favorite is the shrimp scampi over angel hair. To die for! Excellent, authentic Italian food. Food was fresh, not too hot and very, very tasty. Restrooms were clean, and the waitress was pleasant.

Small place but incredible. Just as good as ambled location!

My husband and I joke that we are cursed when it comes to restaurant experiences - seems we rarely enjoy them. So it was a wonderful surprise when we tried From the Boot last weekend. It is not fancy and is quite small inside, but the food was completely enjoyable. Everything tasted so fresh! And I can not say enough about how friendly and efficient the waiters were. Not a single complaint from us. We will definitely go back. read more

Super good take out pizza! We typically get take out from the Blue Bell location and have not been disappointed. The pizza From the Boot is better than some other dedicated pizza shops in Blue Bell. read more

Fabulous fresh and great prices on lunch menu. I had the grilled shrimp and spinach salad which was quite honestly the best salad I've ever had. All simple fresh ingredients like i would make at home. The mussel app was the LARGEST succulent mussels in a homemade red sauce I have ever seen or tasted. Yummy ! I am gluten free and the only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is they should consider putting a gluten free crust on the menu. A wood fired pizza oven should have that option. Also a gluten free pasta is easy to stock. If the owners read this, please add this to your menu and your place will be perfect!!!!! read more

Excellent dinner as usual. Waitstaff were very pleasant. Love going there for dinner.
