This shop, home to many varietals of olive oil, vinegar and other gourmet goodies, shares space with Dark Horse Pastries, so you also have your choice of baked goods. They also sell a small array of wine and beer, and products from other local companies such as chocolates and honey (creamed raw raspberry honey, anyone? Sounds good to me!) You can taste all the varieties of oil and vinegar. Like it spicy? Pick from habanero, jalapeno or red pepper oil! Want fruit flavor? How about Mexican Lime, Meyer Lemon or Blood Orange? The balsamic vinegar came in an array of interesting flavors, including Dark Chocolate, which I think would pair well with strawberries! I liked that there were larger and smaller sized bottles to choose from (small size was 5 oz). They also sell a modest range of dip mixes, mustard, pesto, pasta, and assorted other treats. The addition of the bakery in the same building makes this shop a little different from some of the other gourmet places around here (note that there are several other places in downtown Naperville that specialize in this type of product). It's slightly hard to find (go down the alley between Potbelly and the yellow house building and it's in the courtyard behind), but worth looking for! On Zeppe'S Website it states price of $16.00. When I questioned the young man behind the register he stated Zeppe's is a small family business and does not own its website. they do not have ability to amend the website and the prices are what is shown in store. They will not honor their website prices. I would have bought the sausage but because I found it "unethical" that they will not honor their advertised website prices, they lost a customer.

With a small space, they've done a creative and beautiful job. This being their grand opening (second day open), people are already visiting and tasting mouth watering pastries. Cathy Bouchard, the owner, and Jody Michalski, the General Manager, greeted me with a smile and enthusiasm. The women behind the counter were helpful as they learned more about each pastry. What a delight! I was privy to a short education on the new drink that exploded with a tropical fruit taste and a hint of chocolate. You've got to try that and when they begin selling it, buy it, you won't be disappointed. They have a delectable mini key lime pie that is seasonal and to die for.
