Food is ok. Ice cream is amazing. We were with a large party, and it took a long time, which we expected.

Went here as a kid in New Jersey all the time then as I got older I didn't go for years. Now that I have kids, we actually went there for the first time about a month ago and I was honestly blown away with how good the food and desserts were. I got it the next 3 days in a row. My kids ate every bite and were practically licking the plate clean (not actually) which is super rare considering they are super picky. The service is great too! Everyone is super nice even when my kids were running laps around the whole place like lunatics at 10 pm! It is in a great location as well. Only 10 mins from Carolina forest which is nice! Definitely my new favorite place to go out to eat with my kids. 10/10 !!!! read more

First time at Friendlys in a very long time. We were excited to go but very disappointed. The food was ok and they forgot the ice cream on my Sundae, didn't know until we got back to the hotel. We never go wrong with Friendly's. We go there frequently for a senior dinner which includes ice cream or a nice breakfast. We always enjoy it. Nice food that feels like it was cooked by my mom. I have been going to Friendly's all around the US and I love it. I would strongly recommend the mozzarella sticks for kids, the turkey club super melt, and the fishamajig sandwich. This is the first yelp review ever. I really dont like bashing people. I could have finished eating my meal before my mother even got her food. The owners and managers need to train their staff correctly. 1) bring the food out all together 2) check on the table 1 minute after they got their meals 3) give your tables silverware before they get their meal 4) focus on the customers already there instead of bussing tables Pathetic service. Food is disgusting and the manager Brittany has a bad attitude. We order shrimp platter which supposedly has 12 shrimps. We I went back to the restaurant to complaint about my order being incomplete she has the odisetti to tell me that she counted herself and there were 12 shrimps plus they did not add tartar sauce and coleslaw. What a bad service. They should be happy that we are buying their nasty food so that they can get a decent paycheck. The customer is right all she needed to do was apologize about giving as an incomplete order and gave us our complete order. Brittany needs to be taught how to deal with customers. Worst service ever. on top of all this the servers, the cooks and the manager don't use Masks or if they were it is under their chin. last time I checked the coronavirus still around and these people shouldn't be breathing on our food. read more

This has got to be the worst managed restaurant I've ever been to. Almost an hour long wait just for breakfast. We sat there and watched almost the entire restaurant clear out with almost 20 minutes going by before they even seated anyone. There were well over 20 people waiting in the lobby. Once we finally got seated I mentioned something to the waitress and she said that the kitchen had been inundated with DoorDash orders. Is no one managing this? You can't just leave 20 people standing in the lobby while you do a bunch of to go orders without seating anyone. At the very least, seat everyone and at least they can be comfortable and drink some coffee or something. That's a pretty rough way to manage your business from your staff's point of view as well. Once we finally got seated, our waitress had one table she was dealing with while a bunch of people were sitting there watching us eat. Short staffed? I can see why.... Yummmm! We dropped into Friendly's on our way to our hotel. We'd been craving ice cream and it was perfect that I found this location. My in-laws loved the surprise since this is one of their favorite brands. When I say favorite, I mean they stock up on Friendly's Black Raspberry. We all had sundaes. The kids weren't able to finish theirs, but I took one for the team and helped them finish . The staff was great, especially at the late hour. This was an awesome way to start a vacation. Worst experience ever. On vacation with my family. We live 6 hours away. We usually eat at Friendly's 3 or 4 times while in town. French fries hard dry chicken tenders hard overcooked. Ice cream sundae arrived melted dripping down the glass. The dinner plates were never cleared off the table. We slide plates around trying to make room for our ice cream. Never refilled drinks. My table had 9 unhappy guests. Will not visit again. This was a part of our annual family vacation. Money wasted. Very disappointed. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The whole experience was the worst, from the hostess, to the server and to the manager. The hostess acted like we were just in her way and she just wanted to get out of there. She waited over 10 minutes to even say hi how many. No, she wasn't busy she just didn't know what she was doing. She glared at us from the front of the restaurant to the back where we were seated, for no reason. She made us feel uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. Rude. Then the way the server treated my kid and our whole party was so wrong. First they sat our party at 3 different tables, anyone with kids knows that means a kids table. As soon as the old lady waitress finds out we have 4 different checks, which we let her know before she even wrote a thing in her book, she rolled her eyes and walked away. Our kids were playing with the sugar packets, not opening a single one because they know better. The waitress didn't say one word to any adults but instead walked behind my child and put her arms around my kid to pick up the sugar packets and started raising her voice at her telling her they now have to throw them away because she touched them all. I'm sorry, do you throw away the sugar packets after every table because anyone that is using them is not just touching the one they use. Or how about the ketchup bottles that look like they haven't been switched out since the 90s. I guarantee those are covered in everything under the kitchen sink. How about how filthy your restrooms are and how you have to plug your nose when you enter because it smells like you know. She then has the manager come over to us. She pulled up a chair to one of our tables and told us that a customer complained that we were dumping salt and pepper all over the tables. Well friend, let's take a look at your tables, 1. there are no salt and pepper shakers on the tables 2. Why the fudge would 4 grown adults do that. I told her this place is called friendlys and not one person that works there knows what that word means. We decided to leave and not give them a penny of our money. Save your time, patience and money and go to a better place in town. Everyone at this establishment treated us like sh#*, except customers who by the way also followed us out the door because of how they treated us. read more

The sign at the hostess desk said that they were very short staffed, and the wait would be longer than usual, so if you were in a rush you should come back later. We weren't in a rush, so we proceeded. Actually, service was great and not delayed. We all enjoyed our meals, were all stuffed after we ate the entrees and still ordered desserts. I can't describe it but it was delicious. the only thing that upset me was that I had joined the club and got my 25% off dinner coupon the day after we went. then I saw all over Myrtle beach coupons in coupons books etc, for 10% ,15% and 20% off our meals with the coupon. We ordered delivery. It was a 100 dollar order to our hotel room. The food was good but it ended up in the trash becauae they didn't give us any sauces for any of the food. No tartar sauce or lemon for the calamari, no honey mustard for the chicken strips, not even ketchup for the fries. Also the apple slices were completely brown. read more

Pure nostalgia. My husband and I both grew up on Friendly's so anytime we see one we automatically have to go. The service was great, the food was spot on, and the ice cream was to die for. They then sat us in the loudest section. Across from us was a family being threatened by the man bc the little girl wanted more ice cream and behind me was a family making absolute chaos!!! Horrible service!!! Ordered A Salad, Slidders & Cheeseburger waited over 20 minutes for our food to come out and they forgot the Salad. Seriously how long does it take to make a Salad!!! Was told the Manager would come speak with us and never came, we waited for 20 minutes. Mind you this is at 7:30 PM. This restaurant is very cute. It's a very spacious and clean setting, however, the menu immediately set me off. The pictures of the dishes offered looked fake and bland.
