Good local place for diner style food. Went here for lunch. Ordered a burger and milkshake. The place is recently renovated and looks like an old style but modern diner. The staff is very friendly and service was great. As we left, we forgot our keys and my watch, the waitress came running after us in the parking lot with our belongings. The only issue was that their strawberry milkshake, which is supposed to be very thick, wasn't. It was very tasty but lacked the thick consistency. Overall, I will be going back because the burgers were good and service was great. They also have a takeout ice cream section. A separate door which you can just walk in and order ice cream to go. This is a small Friendlys in desperate need of a good cleanup and remodeling. We came in on a Friday night with 10 people. The manager obviously wasn't happy to see a "large party". We knew ahead of time the restaurant was small and had no problem being split up in different sections of the restaurant. The severs were very nice. The ice cream was very good. Okay, yesterday my partner and I decided to get some ice cream and this location was the only one closest to us. We walked in and first thing that caught my eye was how dirty the establishment was, mostly notably the ice cream prep table that was in clear view of the customers. This one associate in particular named "Josie" was NOT wearing gloves. I found it odd that all the others were wearing gloves and she wasn't. Mind you I work in the food industry myself and I was appalled by the lack of hygiene I saw. The only thing that stopped me from walking out was that our associate in particular had gloves on and did not make any contact with unclean surfaces when dealing with our food. Josie proceeded to pick up pieces of M&M's to put on someone's order WITH HER BARE HANDS after she touched her pants repeatedly, handled cash, touched the register and swiped lose crumbs off the prep table she was working on instead of using a proper sanitized rag. I didn't catch the name of the associate who helped us but I thanked her for being nice and for wearing gloves. I told this associate that Josie needs to wear gloves to which she replied,"oh, we tell her all the time..." excuse me? Then something needs to be corrected. Josie also had a very mean attitude and spoke down to her coworkers. From what my partner and I saw, she was very unpleasant and made customers feel rushed and intrusive. The people are nice but this establishment is severely in need of proper hygiene and sanitation rules. Employees must wear gloves, wash their hands, have designated wells for tools with running water and sanitizer buckets with rags in them at every prep station where food and equipment make contact with each other. I live fairly close to this location, but would go here again? Very VERY slim chance, probably not. Please, this is very bad business. Ordered at doordash the day before for 5 people at my job. Dasher was there 5 mins later but food wasnt ready. 20 mins later our order got cancelled. Called friendly's and told us that doordash didnt put the order in and it's been happening all morning so we then called doordash. They called friendly's to find out what happened and said they cancelled bec one of the items was unavailable and they tried calling us, WHICH FRIENDLY'S DIDN'T DO and then said that their system was fine now. Called friendly's back so we can talk to the manager but they said he's on the grill. We Asked for someone who knows about doordash orders but the waitress said he's the only one who knows about doordash and hung up on us. Called again twice, phone got picked up but no answer. Called again and asked for the manager again but got denied and got mocked on the phone and hung up again. Never going to order here again. read more

Friendly's has good, reliable food at reasonable prices. The service and cleanliness of most of their restaurants are generally lacking, however this location is usually okay. It's never fast, but it's not unbearable. I don't come here often, but sometimes you're just craving it. The appetizers are yummy - mini mozzarella sticks, fronions, cheese quesadillas. I always get grilled cheese and fries. Their desserts are decadent. I love the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup sundae and strawberry Fribbles. Yum. read more

I do still come for the ice cream in the summer because it's a great price and it gets us out the house for a while. Dined in at friendly tonight and had a great experience. My server was Chris, tall skinny guy with a cool haircut. He brought all of our food out quickly and made sure to address our beverages when they were empty. My wife and I had the two for twenty dollar meal. We both chose the bbq chicken and bacon super melt, with mozzarella sticks as the appetizer. The food was good and the service was great and the bill was under $25. Can't beat that. read more

We're always served lightning-quick at this place, but we don't go on weekends (I hate crowds of kids). If you order by phone, it's ready for pick up in 5 minutes. I've been going to this location for over 17 years now, and the prices soared and they lowered the quality of the food about 5 or so years ago. It started with the onion rings becoming gross and sort of moved from there. The sundaes cost twice as much as previously, and they switched to these ugly glasses that look more full and hold less ice cream. Friendly's used to be cute but now they're just kind of sad and overpriced and about a half notch better than microwave food. I order by phone about once or twice a year, just to check if they fixed it again. I had my first ever ice cream at Friendly's, so I try to hold faith that they'll stop being garbage and go back to good! I've been going here since I was like 9. I get the same thing, everytime. Honey BBQ Supermelt with fries, try it if you haven't, it changes you. Amazing. Anyway, the service depends on the kind of day. Sometimes it sucks and is extremely slow, while other days are speedy and pleasurable. Where friendlys in Clark nj used to be a great place to get food multiple times a week, today I was very dissatisfied again. Twice in a week. They let a fantastic waiter go and hired a waitress that doesn't know what she's doing as she herself claims. 15 minutes after being cooked, food was cold and one thing anyone has a problem with is cold eggs. As I was eating my potatoes I found a long blonde hair. The only blond was the waitress. We have been long time customers and never had this happen until the new crew came in a few months ago. My husband, Mom and myself went to Friendly's for dinner Thursday Nite. Everything was great from out server Robert, who was wonderful, friendly, attentive , came back to make sure everything was good, refilled soda, and gave service with a smile. The food was fresh and hot and tasty. We of course had desert which was wonderful. We had the two meals for twenty which came with desert and my mom had a senior meal which came with desert and all with free beverages. The total was $ 26.00 for everything!. Never in my life have I had worse service then at this Friendlys. I ordered for pick up when I got there my food was ready someone put it in a bag to go but then proceeded to ignore me and act incapable of doing their job to refill the receipt machine because she didn't want to walk to the back to get it therefore she stood there not ringing me up. Once someone finally did it for her she then continued to help other people who were there after me and I stood there for 17 minutes before I was able to pay my bill. I will never go back to this friendlys because it is absolutely NOT the first time my service was horrible and the workers are incompetent, ignorant, and rude. "Vicky" who works here is the worst one always rude to customers and cursing about the customers in front of them because she's "tired" and doesn't want to be at work. I hate this place and today was the last chance I was giving it maybe when they reevaluate their staff, services and cleanliness of the restaurant it would run a lot smoother with more happy customers. read more
