Well the food is what it is...not exactly great but edible. This location usually plays crappy pop music in the background,to which dippy customers annoyingly sing to right near me so I have to remember to get a secluded table whenever possible because there's usually someone annoying around anyway. Would not recommend this Friendly's to anyone. New server was so and didn't know what she was going. Manager at 5:30pm on Friday over-charged us on the senior menu and we didn't get the free ice-cream offered. The manager was rude and told us if we complained he would charge us more. I went here last night with some friends, definitely not how I remember Friendlys whatsoever. Place was dirty, food was terrible, service wasn't very good. I got a Mac and Cheese burger, no sauce on the burger at all (the Mac and cheese was burnt) my stomach felt horrible that night. They served us in half of a to-go box when we ate INSIDE and they didn't bother to get us any napkins or condiments. Place was dirty as well. Overall I do not recommend, eat at TGI Friday's or an Applebee's or something (the same prices, much better food). read more

This place really needs to get there act together. If you order a meal that comes with a sundae you should be asked what kind of ice cream you want not do you want the check. Drinks should not take 5 minutes to get when there are only two tables in your section. Complaining about how long your day is not anything I care about. There was a time in which I enjoyed going to this particular restaurant. I could receive the food I've come to expect when visiting a Friendly's. However when my wife and I went here with our family a couple of months ago, the service was horrible, and the food was terrible.. not to mention the fact that the prices seem to have skyrocketed. Tonight I went in there to get some ice-cream, and the girl at the takeout window didn't even acknowledge me when I asked her how her day was, so I asked again only to get a grunt, and "what do you want?" response. If I didn't have my wife, who's pregnant with twins in the car waiting for ice cream, I would have walked out. Overall I would not recommend this location.. This place is the back of a waste management truck in August. Terrible. The prices are high. The atmosphere is weak. The kitchen always looks dirty. Even looking in, it's not scary. I used to go to Friendly's years ago after dances and with family; no longer. It's seemingly always crowded (I guess there is always a fool). My family started going to this location after the Cherry Hill one closed. When we entered, they told our party of 4 we had to wait 15 minutes for a table because the kitchen was backed up and they were training someone. This was a Saturday evening, so not sure why there wouldn't be anyone there ready to work. It was not busy in there and no one else was waiting in front of us. We waited, but honestly should have left. The service was poor and not timely, I did expect to wait a little longer for my food but not for the server to also not be attentive. I had to ask several times for a straw to be replaced since one of my kids straws broke. I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my soda. I drank the entire soda prior to our meal coming out. My daughter's mac and cheese had a piece of hair in it- I returned that. My meal didn't come with the guacamole and salsa, I had to wait for our server and then ask. The two adults in our party both ordered a small sundae and they gave us the kid size version but the small price. Everything about this experience was a disaster. The server did deduct off my daughter's meal for the hair, but hen charged me for her ice cream. So I think after I balanced out the price, it was about $2 cheaper. Definitely not worth my time or money! I'll be visiting other Friendly's and not this one going forward. read more

My experience at this Friendly's was a great one. My food came out hot and quick even though it was moderately busy. Our server, Cheyenne, made us feel comfortable, well cared for, relaxed, and she made our evening by making enjoyable conversation. I strongly strongly suggest eating here. read more

Absolutely the worst experience i have had at a resturant period. I will not be coming back and neither will anyone in my party. First and formost we ordered appetizers and food. Which normally a resturant brings out appetizers than food right? Not all at the same time. Especially not when they straight up lie to you and tell you they cooked it all at once. I know this because you can tell when food sits under a heap lamp for an hour which is nearly the time we waited to get our dishes. Second, i like my burgers rare which i understand when a resturant states that they cant cook it that way and i get something else. The problem is wjen it is not stated and they grossely overcook the burgers and act like its not a big deal annoys me a bit. Third all of the food an dnot just the appetizers were sitting under a heat lamp because the food was cold out the oustsides were hot and dry hmmm sneaky suspicion much. Fourth the fruit cup that came out bad very bad fruit as in every piece tasted like straight ammonia which makes me think its mold because why should fruit taste like that. If that wasnt enough when we brought it up to the waiter that the food was terrible not only did he walk away and not bring out a manager or anoyone else but he thought we wete joking. I know i like to make jokes but if somone says that you should mention it to a manager it shouldnt take someone getting up from the table to go get the f ing manager. He was nice and very accommodating however by that point we had already eaten because we were very hungry and no one was coming back so we said f it and ate it shitty and all. I will necer come back here whoch is sad because it is one of the last friendlys around but i see no other course of action at this juncture. On top of this it took literally forever for the ice cream to come out whoch after dinenr you would think they would step up there game because of how pissed we were. If not for that we are pretty certain that someone in our party got sick from the food. We cannot prove anything but we have a sneaking suspicion. Another thought that i just had was we were not told if any of our meals came with ice cream so we were left guessing what we would be paying for and what should be free in regarss to the ice cream. My family went to get ice cream to go I wanted a royal banana spilt, I'm not a fan of strawberries so I ask can they make it with out they said sure and even offered to give me another topping, made our order bagged it up and on my way. So i get home open my ice cream and strawberry sauce over the whole order, so I call the store and ask to speak to the manager and he says yes this is Chris I explained what happens and he says I can come back honestly I'm tired long day at work I don't feel like coming back, so after that things went left, our phone call gets disconnected and I call back and get Chris again he says "well you hung up on me and all I heard was whatever", so I said in return if I hung up on you why would I call back and this character is suppose to be the district manager also, I said to him "you first response should of been I'm sorry our call got disconnected but whatever you need as a consumer let me help you", so now I'm livid and tired but now I drive back to friendly's and here Chris comes to the counter at this point I only want my money back. He gives me six dollars back and I ask do you have a phone number for corporate, he says you can go online and look it up, I ask for the owners name some guy name Paul no phone number, no email address. I don't know why I continue to eat here. Every time we dine at this Friendlys there is always an issue. They just remodeled it but something that has not changed is that it is always hot. It never feels like there is air conditioning on and eating in the heat is annoying. Also, on at least 3 occasions my daughter has ordered apple sauce and it has been sour and expired. I purchased a large hot fudge sundae from the Cinnaminson, NJ location on 6/21/17 @ 3:06PM to go. When I arrived home I took a big scoop of ice cream out and a long dark hair still attached to my sundae got tangled in my spoon. I immediately returned to this Friendly's and showed "Brian" (name on my receipt) what I discovered in my ice cream. While there, I observed a few white males with long hair flowing freely. One of these males went to the ice cream cooler, leaned down to scoop out another customer's order with his hair hanging into the cooler. I looked at Brian and stated, "HAIR NET" or atleast tie it back. GROSS...unsanitary. Brian without question made me another sundae without hair but I'm seriously rethinking my venue choices. I plan on sharing this shocking experience online (google, trip adviser, yelp, etc.) to warn other consumers. read more

Went there on the hottest day in July..over 100 degrees. AC wasn't working, no sign, no warning. Waitress acknowledged it when asked and said yeah it is really hot everyone is sweating. Manager was no where to be found. No discount for the horrible experience, not even a apology. Emailed Friendly's, a month later no response -when I specifically asked for someone to contact me. Who keeps a restaurant open without AC working on the hottest day of summer. I guess money is more important than the workers or customers. Have been to this restaurant 4 times and only 1 time did I have a normal experience. Every other time the staff was horrible, or the food was horrible. STAY AWAY!! Prices are a little up than in past years--although, as another reviewer notes, coupons are usually available frequently in the paper or direct mailings. For breakfast, you can get a card which gives you a free breakfast after you buy six (which also helps lower the cost). They've upgraded their dinner menu so there is more variety than in the past and added combination offers which include a drink and sundae for one price (which, I suppose, is chain-wide, not a local initiative), if price is a major concern. You DO have to remember to ask for the included dessert with some of the servers, though, I've noted. Generally, though, in my experience, the staff is very friendly (which figures, given the name), not grumpy or self-obsessed. The restaurant is quiet if your aim is to go there to talk and, except for dinner and later, when the parking lot is frequently full, you aren't rushed because other people are waiting for a table so it feels homier than many other places I've been to. I can't say what the noise level is at night (when the parking lot is frequently full) but I would suspect it is much higher--what you would expect with families and groups out for ice cream as part of a group social occasion. It's not haute cuisine but a nice dependable place to meet friends over a reliable meal which is probably closer to a diner standard. My wife claims they make the best omelets she's found--although her only complaint is that they're not available all day, just at breakfast and you have to tell them NOT to include peppers if you don't want them. While there are a couple of tables outside the takeout ice cream section (the "outdoor dining"), you can't count on getting one and it's not for full service meals, just eating the take-out food or waiting outside for friends before going in to get a table or booth. Another reviewer suggests using the Friendly's in Moorestown (where we used to go) but, sadly, that location closed several years ago so this one and one in Cherry Hill are the closest ones left to Moorestown. read more

My family and I will never go here again. We would rather travel further. I had a bad experience here once before(including a hair in my supermelt!), however my son loves Friendlys so I reluctantly went again. This time I just vowed to check my food. We went in, saw a lot of workers just standing around but we were promptly seated. After 10 minutes and no server to come take our drink order, my husband got up to get someone.The waitress comes over and takes our order. She then brings our appetizer with no plates or even napkins. She was no where to be found. My husband had to get up a 2nd time for napkins from a bus boy. It also wasn't busy. My husband ordered breakfast and didn't get his toast, I ordered chicken fingers with no honey mustard that I asked for. I couldnt eat 1 of the chicken fingers because it had a tendon running thru it. Meanwhile she is still MIA and my child and I needed refills. I was looking around for her and who I assume was the manager asks if he can get us anything so he got our refills. The girl comes over finally and has our check. She looked surprised when I said we wanted to order icecream(it came with my son and my meal). I added a topping which cost 79cents and she seemed put out bc she said she now had to change the check to add the topping. Okay, even though the toast we paid for but didnt get and the chicken finger I couldn't eat should cancel out the change. Whatever..anyway she was still trying to change the bill forever so my husband got up to go up front and get to go cups for our icecream since we no longer wanted to sit there. The revised bill and icecream comes at last! My husband is looking at the bill and getting out money while our waitress is hovering over him for the money which was comical bc she was no where to be found during our meal. I will say my sons mac n cheese meal and husbands pancakes were good..thats it. We are close to here but will travel to another Friendlys. read more
