I like honest car sales people…read more And from our latest car buying excursion, we continue to find them rare. For example, one of the other car dealerships prevented us from taking the car to an independent mechanic! You know they were hiding something with the car. Anyway, not only did Texas Cars Direct let us take the car to an independent mechanic, they were professional, not pushy like some of the other guys we dealt with, and easy to do business with. Mike, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for selling us the newest car in our company fleet! P.S. If you come across a clean, unmolested 1990 to 1993 Mustang convertible, give me a call!

There was some minor issues but the most glaring was the check engine light. David said the issues would be taken care of, go to lunch and come back in a couple of hours. He called me and said they needed a part that would not be there until Monday. David paid for my flight home and said the truck would be shipped to me. I received the truck late the next week. When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. In closing, David did live up to his word on everything until this reimbursement issue so I can't give a 5 star review due to this

I wanted to take the time to update my review after receiving support from George at A & M Motors…read more I had to return to the dealership to submit paperwork about two weeks ago and when I met with George he asked how I had been enjoying my vehicle and I told him about the issues and frustrations I had with the car since taking it home. I complained that I had another big bill coming up to fix the remaining issues on the vehicle, which were to correct the clear coat peeling and the cracks on the sides of the front bumper. After telling him, George apologized for everything I experienced with the vehicle since leaving the dealership. He offered to fix the front bumper free of charge. It was clear he cared deeply about trying to make my experience better and making sure I didn't feel like I was just someone they wanted to make money off of. I decided to schedule a day with him to bring in my car to see if he would be able to deliver on his promise to repair the damages. When I came to pick up my vehicle today, the repair to my front bumper looked great, and George even fixed the trim on the side of my front windshield that was starting to peel off before I left. He also provided me with a small bottle of the paint that matches my car's color code in case I ever get any random small scratches in the future. George truly is what made my experience here better. If you do choose to come here to purchase a vehicle, I recommend talking to George directly should you have any issues that come up.

I want to share my experience so future buyers know what to expect. I test drove a 2022 Lexus ES…read more350 F Sport on October 21, 2025, and immediately noticed that both front USB ports were inoperative and the SOS button cover was broken. My sales associate confirmed the issues and assured me their shop would repair everything while I completed the financing steps and a trade-in pre-approval quote. The process quickly became a long, confusing ordeal. Parts were ordered, but the first shipment arrived defective. The second shipment also failed to fix the issue. No clear updates came from management, and the timelines kept shifting. I asked why the vehicle could not simply be taken to Lexus under its factory warranty, and no one could give me a clear answer. It was only after I reached out to CarMax corporate that the vehicle was finally sent to a Lexus dealership on November 4. According to my sales associate, the car has been sitting with Lexus ever since, with no solid updates and continued delays. Even today, December 2, I am still being told dates are pushed and that they are "waiting for more updates." Throughout all of this, I did everything required on my end. What I did not receive was consistent communication, accurate timelines, or involvement from management. My sales associate tried his best, but even he seemed to struggle to get information from their service department. What makes this more frustrating is that the entire situation could have been avoided. CarMax advertises a thorough inspection before a vehicle is listed for sale. If that inspection had truly been done, the dead USB ports and broken SOS cover would have been caught early, repaired, and the car would never have been presented as sale-ready. Instead, the problem was passed on to me. Had I actually traded in my current vehicle, I would have been without transportation for more than six weeks. I am disappointed by the delays and the lack of leadership response. I hope sharing this helps future buyers make informed decisions, and I hope CarMax takes steps to improve how vehicles are inspected and how customers are communicated with during repairs.

On Monday, March 9, 2026, I visited the dealership with my mother to look at a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE that we were interested in purchasing for her. We worked with a salesperson named Keith, who showed us the vehicle and took us on a test drive. After the test drive, my mother decided she wanted the car and we clearly communicated to Keith that we were ready to buy it. He even congratulated my mother on the purchase, which gave us every reason to believe the deal was essentially secured. Because it was already past the dealership's closing time, I told Keith we could return the next morning to finalize everything. He agreed and told us that would be perfectly fine. The next day (Tuesday), I sent Keith all of the information he requested so we could move forward with the purchase. Hours went by and I did not hear back from him. I finally called around 5:30 PM, and Keith told me they were conducting a hail drill and that all vehicles had been moved inside, so he could not access the GLE. He said we would have to finalize everything Wednesday morning instead. Unfortunately I could not personally go Wednesday, so my brother took my mother to the dealership on Wednesday, March 11 to complete the purchase. That is when we were told something shocking: they could not sell us the vehicle because someone had supposedly placed a deposit on it the previous week. This makes absolutely no sense and is extremely frustrating for several reasons: 1. We spent three days working directly with Keith about this exact vehicle. 2. At no point did he ever mention there was an existing deposit on the car. 3. He allowed us to test drive it, told us we could buy it, and even congratulated my mother. 4. Because we believed the purchase was happening, we passed on other vehicles we were considering. If there truly was a deposit already placed on the vehicle the week before, that information should have been disclosed immediately on Monday before we ever took a test drive or discussed buying the car. The situation ultimately wasted several days of our time and created unnecessary frustration for my mother. What makes the situation even worse is that we did not receive so much as a courtesy apology from management for the confusion and poor communication. For a dealership that markets itself as a premium luxury car buying experience, this level of professionalism and transparency is extremely disappointing. Whether this was due to poor communication, disorganization, or something else entirely, the end result is the same: our time was wasted and expectations were set that the dealership could not fulfill. I hope Park Place Motorcars Dallas takes situations like this seriously and improves their communication and sales processes so other customers do not have the same experience.

I was reluctant to purchase from out of state, not knowing anything about the mechanics of a vehicle. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take someone with me to look at the car. I chose this dealership b/c of the reviews stating that the staff was friendly and it was a quick/easy transaction. I felt good about it, so my daughter and I made the trip from AR to TX to purchase her first car. The staff was extremely friendly. We test drove the car, seemed fine. We drove the car home and it seemed fine other than the headlights not working properly. Small things, and we brushed it off. We purchased this car on a Saturday and the following Monday, the entire engine blew in it. I haven't even made one payment on the car yet. So now I'm out the purchase price as well as the almost $10,000 it has cost me to have a new engine put in it, putting me in extreme financial debt. I could have purchased a newer car for that price. The dealership offered to rebuild it at their cost IF I would ship it back to them and then back to me. I guess I'm here to say, have someone go with you who works on cars and have them pull the oil pan and do a compression check (not hard tasks) to see if the engine is bad before you purchase the vehicle. For $26,000, I definitely did not get my monies worth. I also asked for them to come down on their asking price b/c the car blue booked for almost $2,000 less than their asking price. They said the car was at fair value and wouldn't budge over a couple of hundred dollars. Then added a "misc" fee in there to make up the difference they thought they lost. Bummer of a deal. I hope this helps someone out there.
