Just spoke with salesman, Dan, about 1973 Porsche 911 they are currently selling. Asking price is $249,995. As an owner of multiple Porsches, including four 1972-73 911s, I asked very typical questions regarding the car for sale: car's pedigree, matching numbers for chassis, motor and transmission, number of previous owners, modification history and what justifies the astronomic asking price. Dan sheepishly retreated that car was just listed, and he had no answers for me. I pointed out all the modifications: non-original twin-plug motor, WEVO shifter, steering wheel, dash (from 1980s 911SC), improper dash color (should be black) and non-original tachometer. I asked Dan point-blank how they could be asking nearly a quarter million dollars for this car. Dan was tongue-tied. Mind you, Dan was very polite and acknowledged all of the aforementioned points I made. I told him that I hope he takes this back to management because if they do not amend this listing, they will have serious issues with their reputation, especially among the regional Porsche community (Porsche Club of America). Until they effect these changes and promptly, I would approach this establishment with great caution.

We put everything we had toward this lease, and the vehicle was a constant source of stress. (Don't get a Nissan!) We visited just about every dealership around, but we just couldn't find "the one". The car, the deal, or the salesman! I had a friend that worked at West Herr previously, and we had heard nice things, so we decided to check them out. We started at Toyota, moved to Honda, and ended up at Mazda. All of the locations were nice, but when we met Dylan Forbes at Mazda we knew he was our guy. He was the only one who offered to help us with the dispo fee on our lease, he pulled vehicles from other locations for us to test out so we didn't have to travel, and he even let us borrow one overnight to see if it was the one. It wasn't, but we did end up finding our dream car on the Mazda lot right after that! Due to going all in on a lease we hated previously, it was a bit of a struggle getting out of the current lease and into a new one. We had negative equity to work around, a disposition fee, and limited funds. But Dylan, along with Marcus Payne and Justin Latorre (the general manager at Mazda) helped us make it happen. We spent literal hours with these gentlemen going through options, talking numbers, and trying to figure out what worked. They offered my daughter gummy bears and let her play around at an empty desk and "sell cars" while they did their thing. For the first time at a dealership I felt like they genuinely understood, cared, and truly wanted to help us. I loved how it was such a relaxed atmosphere too, not "stuffy" like you often feel when you enter a dealership. You can tell that they have a great working dynamic, and that they function as a team. We had fun with the banter while suffering through the "boring stuff". Needless to say, we were able to get rid of a lease that we felt trapped in and start new with a car we absolutely LOVE, and we could not be more thankful for the hard work they put in at West Herr Mazda to help make it happen. I am unsure whether this individual is employed at the specific West Herr Mazda location, but I believe this incident warrants the dealerships attention and investigation. While traveling on the 90 near Port Byron, I was behind a vehicle displaying West Herr dealer plates. The driver repeatedly cut me off, abruptly slammed on the brakes multiple times, and intentionally drove below the speed limit while remaining in the passing lane. The behavior appeared deliberate and created an unsafe situation for myself and the other motorists around us. Because the vehicle was clearly associated with West Herr, I contacted the location supervisor to report the driver's behavior while the incident was still occurring. Unfortunately, within approximately 10 minutes of contacting the supervisor, the same driver again abruptly braked in front of me and then made an offensive hand gesture toward me.The driver subsequently moved into the right-hand lane, where he continued making the same offensive gesture toward me. His behavior throughout this encounter was aggressive, intimidating, and entirely inconsistent with the level of professionalism I would expect from someone representing the West Herr name. This was particularly disappointing given that I have purchased numerous vehicles from West Herr over the years and have always valued my experiences with the company. I would expect a company with West Herr's reputation to take this type of conduct seriously. I understand that there may be circumstances I am unaware of, and I am not looking to make assumptions about the individual or his employment status. However, I do believe that conduct involving aggressive driving, repeated brake-checking, and hostile gestures toward another motorist while operating a vehicle with West Herr dealer plates should be taken seriously. I would appreciate it if management could investigate this incident, determine whether the driver is associated with West Herr, and address the matter appropriately. My concern is not only how this individual represented the company, but also the potential safety risk his driving created for other motorists.

This was different. No "lemme talk to my manager..." BS. No starting out the conversation with "So what can you afford for a monthly payment?" or any other sleazy, underhand crap you expect when buying a car. Also wasn't left alone for extended periods of time drinking crappy coffee while they figure out how to screw you and try to convince you you're getting a deal. I know I'm salty about dealerships, but can you blame me? Everything was quick and painless. I got the price I went in expecting, npo wasting my time with nonsense. I even reserved my review for after the first service appointment. Bet even that was smooth as silk. Dropped the car off in the morning, they drove me to work, then drove me back after work to get my car. To be fair, I haven't had any problems with the car yet, so we'll see if they stay 5-star in that case, but here's hoping.

I dropped it off before noon and they said it would be ready by 6 pm. - They pray on older people that don't know any better with high up front charges to diagnose and then use every line in the book to pay out of pocket instead of use their warranty. My girlfriend's A/C stopped working and they wanted $575 to diagnose the problem. The service manager said "things like rocks can damage the condenser and that's not covered under warranty" After a free visual inspection they coincidentally stated that a rock most likely damaged the condenser but they need $575 to do a full inspection. - "o rings are a wear item and not covered by warranty" - Van Bortel Victor Service Manager - I've started doing my own oil changes now because they take so long. - Air pressure in the tires are constantly set way too high. This has happened more than once across multiple vehicles and I have an industrial calibrated pressure gauge. My only thought on this is they do this to wear the tires faster to get more money out of you. - My co worker has a Subaru WRX STI and one of the members of their service team took his car on a joy ride and red lined it so much that the reset boost gage was maxed out. - Their service department is terrible and after buying six vehicles from here, 2008 WRX, 2013 WRX, 2013 Crosstrek, 2022 WRX, 2023 Impreza and 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness and I will no longer buy from this establishment because of their horrible service department.
