These guys lost parts when fixing my car and tried to say it came in that way lol. Nobody removed that part but you guys in the entire history of maintenance. If anything that statement alone in the paperwork is an admission of guilt. Was asked if I could come in today and meet with the salesman Phil and finance manager Joe. Drove 2 hours from Buffalo and waited in the lobby for two and a half hours. Both of them knowing that I was there and them closing at 5:00pm. While waiting they both left out the back door even though they knew I was waiting to talk to them. This is how you treat your customers? I get it we all have families and things to do. But seriously knowing them I'm waiting to speak with you and have been waiting for 2.5 hours? I can only say that I am from Florida and I wish the Ford Service department here were half as good. My son is going to college in New York we gave him our older Ford Fusion to use while he's up there. Before we left after seeing him at Thanksgiving we had some issues with the airbag warnings and needed to have a few other things done. The service was amazing and they even drove the car back to his college about 1.5 hours round trip. I don't know what people could possibly complain about their service Department. Just an update on their new location! It's so clean and bright! I have been in for service only and spent some time in their beautiful waiting area which includes a kids play station, WiFi, TV, Free tablet use, Free popcorn, fruit, coffee and cold water. It makes your wait time enjoyable. Their prices on parts and service are much lower than some dealers in the Rochester area and I appreciate their honestly about repairs and pricing. Service coordinators are very friendly, efficient and customer service appears to be in the forefront here. Stop in to check out their brand new location, just down the road from previous location. I can see from the reviews that it seems like Friendly Ford is two completely different places. I think that their sales department is another place than their service department. I bought my 2022 Ford Explorer from FF because of the service department. The mechanic comes to the waiting room to clarify things or to explain what needs to be done. Each mechanic whom I have dealt with is courteous and explains in plain English. I took my daughter's car there for something that a Syracuse Ford dealer said couldn't be done. The FF service department had it done in two hours. The service managers talk to you like you are a person with a brain. I have to admit that sales wouldn't get my 100% recommendation, but I am afraid that sales everywhere are somewhat shaky. read more

Great used 2018 Honda Ridgeline with only 17K miles on it. Was it "Too good to be true?". No indeed, it is a GREAT car, looks fantastic runs fantastic. My salesperson was Ryan Bandemer and he bent over backwards for me since I live 250 miles away. I had him check a lot of things out for me before I took the trip to their dealership. He did everything I asked and did it in a "very friendly" manner. I couldn't ask for anything more from a salesperson. I drove 250 miles after he got back to me with all my concerns/questions and the whole process at the dealership took about 90 minutes to 2 hours. I will try to be very clear about this. What is keeping me from Friendly Ford are these things: 1. When I went to pick up my new F350 Diesel in Nov. 2017 on a Saturday when they told me it would be ready it was not. It was not at all cleaned up inside or out. It had been rustproofed and it was not at all dry yet, it was completely wet to the touch and when I went to sign the purchase papers nothing was ready, in fact their finance office had not even contacted my credit union or anything yet. 2. So now flip ahead to a few weeks ago when I drove up to see what used Mustangs they had. I saw a 2013 GT500 in the back. It was not on their website yet. A few days later when I checked it was and the price roughly was $23500. The website said to email and ask for the "Special Discount Price" so I did. What I got back in an email was almost that exact price and when I looked up that car's retail price in Kelley Blue Book that price was over $4000 more than that car's retail price, in excellent condition. I in no way appreciate being played for a fool and offered an inflated price upfront and I in no way appreciate their dealership showing me so little loyalty toward a returning customer who bought a new truck from them for over $70,000. Friendly Ford, I feel, completely ripped me off! I brought my Ford Explorer into be repaired, because I thought I trusted these guys. After all I purchased a couple of vehicles from them before and felt like the experience was positive. Well, about a month or so ago that all changed. I am a social worker/Presbyterian Minister on a relatively small salary. I just wanted these guys to fix my vehicle. Worst, most expensive mistake I ever made! The guys in service said "we got some bad news." I was horrified!!! Totally sick to my stomach!! The service guy told me (I know nothing about cars by the way) that it would cost me $6,000 to get it back on the road. I thought to myself "OMG, what am I going to do? I need two cars, one for myself and one for my better half. We both need to get to work every day. I travel for a living." So I went down there and of course the service guy sent me right to sales department. A sucker born every day!!! That was what was painted on my forehead on that day. These guys at every stage of the transaction was made to feel like I had no choice but to purchase another car. My current Ford Explorer was upside down on the loan so I was stuck with a car that the entire Friendly Ford bunch said "was not safe to drive." So now I had 3 cars and 3 loans. I was horrified. I may be the dumbest person on the planet, but I feel these guys, who I thought I trusted, played me to enth degree. I then decided a couple of days later, just not feeling right about the transaction, to try and get this car, which I was told was going to practically explode, or something, to try and get it down to Bob's Alignment in Naples. I trust Paul with all my work. He is excellent. After he examined the car Paul said that while their are current issues and future problems with the car I can get in on the road for under $700 bucks. This is what I wanted in the first place. Let's see, a $6000 estimate made by FF and under $700 by Paul. At that moment I felt completely violated by FF. I went to the management 2 different times and both the service manager and sales manager said there is nothing they could do. Yeah, this really sucks, because I am the sucker of the year. However, the vehicle that they offered me was the "only one"...I hate it!! My other car was AWD, this one is FWD (didn't know the difference until this winter) I tried to exchange it, they even had me test drive another....loved it!! Then they come back and said that the bank would not let them because it was "too soon". YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING AT ALL FROM FRIENDLY FORD!!!! I don't even want to give these jokers a single star but I have to in order to be able to write a review. This is going to be lengthy but I highly suggest you read it before considering these blatant rip off's for a vehicle. I bought an 02 F250 XLT V10 from these guy's online in December of 2007 and paid $19,000 cash for it based on the pictures I saw and the fact that it had an over 400 point inspection before being resold. $19,000 CASH!!!!!!! The truck was supposedly owned by an elderly man and it was never used to plow or haul anything at all. Just driven. It was in essence babied it's entire life. The truck looked flawless in the pictures and she had almost 80,000 miles on her. I gave Amanda a $5000 deposit over the phone. I flew myself and my buddy at the cost of $1000 to pick it up on Christmas Eve. We arrived at the airport witch was a town away late and the plan was to drive it back to Waterbury CT. Amanda Farley was the sales person. I met her at the outside exit door of the airport. The truck was right there and I only had time for a visual inspection because it was 7;30pm and Amanda had been waiting quite some time because of flight delay's. I paid $450 for a complete detailing of the truck including Simonizing. The interior floor was dirty and there was wax all over the black rubber parts of the truck. She said the dirt on the floor was from driving it to the airport. I didn't even mention the wax because at that point it was trivial considering the fact that it was late Christmas Eve and I just wanted to get into my new truck. I gave Amanda a bank check for $13,6K and change and she and her counterpart bolted in the snap of the fingers. I got in the truck with my buddy and started to drive off when I noticed that the steering was a little funny. I chalked it up to it being me because normally my daily driver is a 95 Altima SE purpose built for street racing. Once I got on the highway the truck was all over the road. It was really bad. The trip home was 6+ hours and in that time I almost killed myself and my friend twice and almost careened into a passing car nearly killing them as well. I swear to god I'm not lying one bit. The entire front end of the truck was shot. After that long weekend I called up Amanda and explained what she clearly already knew. She denied everything stating that the truck was 100%. I took the truck to Family Ford in Waterbury CT that same day and had a full in depth inspection at the cost of $140 to me. The report? The front shocks, upper and lower ball joints, links and steering damper were all shot on both sides of the front end. I also found out that the truck was used for plowing. The mechanic showed me the hydraulic control holes witch were well under the dash and hidden from plain sight. I again called Amanda with the news and had Family Ford fax them the report. Amanda told me to just bring the truck back and they will inspect it and fix everything that was wrong with it. I told her no that Family Ford will fix it and they can pay for it but they wouldn't agree to it. I legally looked into it and I was bound to have them service the truck if they were to foot the bill. I limped the truck 6 fucking hours to Geneva to have it fixed. It was a Wednesday. They told me that it would take a day to fix it. That means that I would get it Thursday, right? Wrong!!!! I didn't get it back until Saturday just before they closed. I sat in a hotel room (again at my expense) in backwoods fucking Geneva NY for 3 damn days before they decided to work on it. I get my tuck back and they only installed upper and lower ball joints on one side. THAT'S IT!!!!! It was still in total disrepair. I tried calling them and nobody answered. I went back to them and they were closed. I was forced to drive it home again. When I got home, I had Family Ford fix it right the first time at my expense. I stopped dealing with them at that point. I still have all of my documentation and records if anyone at all want's to try and disprove my claim (I.E. not so Friendly Ford). This Dealership is nothing more than an auction hub. While writing this 3 other reviews are visible to me and two of them gave Friendly Ford 1 star and are claiming that they were also ripped off. Take the hint and don't even take a cup of water from these people unless you want some kind of trouble. FUCK YOU AMANDA FARLEY AND ESPECIALLY FRIENDLY FORD!!!! Many people feel this way, but the dealer knows who you are when you leave a review, and they will harass you to change it or remove it so people just don't want the hassle to leave a truthful review. My friend worked there. He told me reviewers easily sell out for free oil changes, floor mats, whatever. They'll sit there on their laptop and ask you to write a review right there in the showroom in order to give you a discount on the car. Last month, I decided to purchase a new Escape since my other one was getting old. My nephew was in from out of state, who just happens to be a salesman as well. I brought him with me to make sure that I was not getting taken advantage of. We did not inform the salesman that my nephew knows the trade. My salesman's name was Shea Bedient. After we went through the whole process, and the whole while he kept assuring me that he was giving me the best deal and saving me money at every turn, my nephew told me that he was trying to get max commission by all of the unnecessary add ons and was really overcharging for what it was worth. I was disgusted!! Shea kind of smirked at me and said, "hey it's all part of the game. You should have told me your nephew sells cars and I could have worked something out." When I returned to buy another $55,000 truck they hesitated on refunding the warranty cost and lost out on the sale of the new truck and future ones. Total shysters.
