I brought my 2012 Equinox in for service - as usual - a great experience. I also have had my 2013 Corvette in the body shop for minor scratch repair again a great experience. Matt. I received a recall notice for an air bag in my Silvarodo pick up. I called Farnsworth and made an appointment. I showed up for the appointment on time this morning and was told that they did not have the replacement air bag. The truck gets very poor gas mileage and at today's price I paid almost $20 round trip to Farnsworth for nothing and will have to make the trip again. Would seem like they would have known they didn't have the material when I made the appointment or could have at least called me to reschedule. read more

I used them back in 2017 with my old equinox. I called them as my truck wouldn't start. They picked it up and when I received the call what was wrong told me that i needed transmission. 4,500 later I find out I didn't need to replace it it was some plug thing. So I ate that like a champ. So a few days ago I decided to have my new equinox wheel bearing done as I knew what was wrong... Well they come to room and tell me that o needed brakes and rotors. ( I haven't had issue with brakes at all not a noise and grind) I tell them ill wait. I also had inspection a week ago. My brakes had 30% life left I leave dealer ship notice my tires are covered in black brake dust. Also just washed it across street before i went. (Proof) and 5 miles done road my brakes are grinding like Metel to Metel. Whoever drove my car after service check stood on my shit . they had too. So today I go change brakes they didn't put my set bolt back in I'm done with them. Great costumer service at desks but screw the garage read more

Horrible experience with Farnsworth Chevrolet!! I contacted the internet manager Charles Webb regarding a 2011 Toyota Tacoma stock#238411 for a friend of mine who wasn't experienced in purchasing cars. I began to tell him that I would help facilitate the deal between my friend and the dealership from negotiating a price, inspection of the vehicle and transportation of the truck since we live in California and were buying the truck sight unseen. Charles agreed. He seemed like he was a nice enough guy who just wanted to close the deal. No harm in that. I explained to him that my buddy didn't have the best credit, his FICO was at a 580 and 620 through 2 different bureaus but we were planning on putting 5k down on a 17k truck. That's close to 30%. Charles said that he thought he could get the deal done between GM financing or Ally but we would have to fill out a credit application. "No problem" I stated as this is just standard procedure. Four days go by and nothing. Not one call or email from them. I texted Charles for an update and he said that he was out of the office and that I should call the dealership and speak to a manager. So I called the office and a guy by the name of troy QUIGLY (your last name isn't hard to find buddy) answers. I told him who I was, who I was calling for, and which vehicle we submitted an application for. Right out the gate, this was his response, verbatim "So what makes you want to drive 3000 miles away just to buy a car?". I told him that we were planning on shipping the vehicle. He said "you're not planning on seeing the car in person?" I responded with "no, I was planning on getting the car inspected at our cost, but if we were going to see the vehicle in person, we would be flying not driving." He then proceeded to say that my buddy's credit report shows that he moved 4 times in the past 3 months and that he didn't trust us which is incredibly offensive. My friend who was also on the call chimed in and notified troy that he was a victim of credit fraud in the past and that he only moved twice in the past half decade. Not 4 times. troy then continued to say that this deal feels fishy and that he already has 10 other parties who were interested in the truck who were local. He also said that they don't do out of state deals... A GM FRANCHISED dealer which is on top of the food chain, doesn't do out of state deals?? He proceeds to asks us questions then continues to ask who I am to my friend and what I do for a living, at which point I'm already offended and annoyed. I respond with "what I do for a living is completely irrelevant to the purchase of this vehicle but if you must know...". I told him my profession and that I've shipped 6 cars in the past 3 years from all over the country and this was the first time that any dealer in the US has denied to sell me a car because of my location. Especially with me arranging all of the logistics. At this point the conversation is already in a back and forth match and I questioned him about being a manager there. He confirmed that he was a manager which was incredibly surprising to me to see a manager initiate this type of behavior and attitude towards a customer. He then closes the argument with "well you know what, it's just too much trouble. I don't want to sell you the truck. We have other interested parties locally." I questioned him "well why do you have it advertised on multiple ONLINE outlets. That's the power of the internet. You have people all over the nation looking at your ad. You know what else the power of the internet allows you to do? Write reviews about dealerships!!" His tone completely changed. He responded "oh so now you're threatening me?", I replied "I'm not threatening you. I'm not telling you to sell us the car or I'm going to write a bad review. I'm merely documenting my experience with your dealership =) ". He got all flustered and tried to smooth things out but by that time time the fire was already lit and the deal was already sour. It's obvious from the moment troy answered the phone, it was too much trouble for him to sell us the car which is fine. However my question is this, if you already knew that you didn't want to do an out of state deal then why would you run my friends credit??? You dinged his credit and wasted our time when you already knew the deal was dead. Horrible experience, definitely wouldn't recommend this dealership and leaving this ranting yet honest review up for as long as Yelp is around!!! read more

Our appointment went right on schedule, the waiting room was comfortable (we enjoyed the complimentary coffee), and the work was done quickly, carefully and to our satisfaction. Just had my 2013 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Duramax service at said dealership. It consisted of a Lube, oil and filter, and service the transmission (change filters and fluids). The total cost was $442.42 of which $336.10 was for just the transmission. I was overcharged for the filters and fluid. All the research I did prior to this being showed the cost should by $175.00 -$200.00. But Farnsworth charge 50.00 for 1 filter and 54.00 for the other that should have been $25 and $27. As for the fluid they charged $92.00, should have been $60 - $65. Highway robbery. Ty just gouge the customer. Never again will they see my truck. read more

I'd give a 0 if I could. I made 2 trips for reduced engine power while driving. First $160 and a valve was replaced. Second $252 and my gas pedal was replaced. Code P2135 was found both times, both times assured it was fixed. 4 days after picking it up I had to travel out of state due to the death of my mother. I had the same problem 10 times forcing me to pull over and restart the car!! It almost did not start a couple times. I contacted the SVC dept, "what do you want us to do?", "see if you can take it to a local dealer", which I did when I arrived. Provided them with printouts from Farnsworth SVC dept. Code P2135 is for a throttle body, nothing else. I was advised not to drive it home because they felt not safe and I might get stranded. Cost $518 to replace the part and was told it was "really bad". I had to rent a vehicle for the weekend and to get home, $394. Received reimbursement for $252 ("we did not handle this right"), but not for the rental that I would not have needed had they replaced the part indicated by their own code!!! I have made 2 additional calls regarding the rental, no return calls received. No excuse for any of this. read more

The GMC dealer did not have time to do it for us until the next day so we thought we would check with the Chevy dealership.
