I asked about the previous owner and for the car fax. Carfax was clear and the prior owner they told me bought it from them and traded it in 2 months later because they wanted a bigger vehicle. They had sold us an under spray from line x next door. We had some issues with it being all over the car. Line x quickly made it better, and pointed out the car had been repainted and back window was replaced and not installed properly. I called the dealer ship I wanted answers and help. Asked them to check the window and if we could get it fixed as well as check the under area of the car for any damage. The manager Beth was very unprofessional told me that basically I bought as is and they will not help me. I asked if they inspect their vehicles before they sell them she said no they only have mechanics. So my question was how do you sell certified vehicles then? She basically said because the carfax was clean so they can legally say that the car is in great condition. I asked if I had to seek legal advice on o help get this fixed and she said our conversation was over. I asked for her managers number she informed me they wouldn't talk to me. I located the information myself and reached out we went back and forth for a month. Came to the agreement they would send a glass company out to fix the window and I would have my shop inspect the vehicle. He even mentioned that they do inspections of the cars and he would send me a copy of the report. I never received that copy and he has not answered me in weeks about scheduling the window. Just silence. Makes me wonder what was actually noted on that inspection report. Just one big headache with them save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that actually appreciates customers.

Just spoke with salesman, Dan, about 1973 Porsche 911 they are currently selling. Asking price is $249,995. As an owner of multiple Porsches, including four 1972-73 911s, I asked very typical questions regarding the car for sale: car's pedigree, matching numbers for chassis, motor and transmission, number of previous owners, modification history and what justifies the astronomic asking price. Dan sheepishly retreated that car was just listed, and he had no answers for me. I pointed out all the modifications: non-original twin-plug motor, WEVO shifter, steering wheel, dash (from 1980s 911SC), improper dash color (should be black) and non-original tachometer. I asked Dan point-blank how they could be asking nearly a quarter million dollars for this car. Dan was tongue-tied. Mind you, Dan was very polite and acknowledged all of the aforementioned points I made. I told him that I hope he takes this back to management because if they do not amend this listing, they will have serious issues with their reputation, especially among the regional Porsche community (Porsche Club of America). I've only used their auto repair services before, so my review only reflects upon that. Cost: Very very fair. I never ever feel like I'm being charged extra for either parts or labor. I don't know what kind of parts are used to repair cars here, but I don't ever feel like I'm getting shoddy quality parts either. In fact, and I'm not saying they do this all the time, I've went to get my fluids checked before and they've done it for free AND topped off a couple of them free of charge. How many places do that? Experience: I have nothing negative to say about Dave's. Dave and his son (and the other employee's I've encountered) are absolutely fantastic. They've been really friendly and informative the entire time to by myself and my fiancee. I've learned quite a bit about my car and as mentioned above, never feel like I've gotten ripped off. I do all my oil changes here and repairs (I've had a couple exhaust repairs and a couple wheel repairs) and am always quoted with costs consistent with low prices on car forums online. Overall: If you're in Geneva, NY and need auto repair done, go to Dave's. Don't mess around with Monroe or other chains that always find more things they want you to pay to repair. Dave's will let you know how your car looks and tell you what they think about your car and if anything does look on the verge of failing they'll let you decide if you want to do it now, down the road, somewhere else, or at not all. I don't feel overcharged which is one issue with many garages. They get the work done in a reasonable amount of time. The only issue I've had is there are no appointments, so you just drop your car off the night before or in the morning and they call you when it is done. This could be inconvenient if you work outside of the area. Dave, the owner is a nice guy and seems to remember you after a few visits and remembers your car. The garage also does used car sales, and rents U-Hauls. I would definitely recommend this garage to anyone in the area that needs work done on their vehicle.
