I found out about Friedman Optometry through my insurance's website. Upon visiting the optometry website, I was pleased to find plenty of information about the doctors, services, and even an online store where I can purchase prescription glasses, sunglasses, and contacts. The parking lot was crowded, and the parking towards the very back is close to some run-down houses. I drive a sports car and was a little worried about parking there, but I had no problems. The office is on the second floor, which seems to share the same waiting area space as a pediatrician's office, as the waiting room was full of children running around like wild baboons. I was seen on a walk-in basis, and only after about 10 minutes of turning my informational papers in, I was being seen for my eye exam! I saw Dr. Brandon Friedman, who was highly informative, and thorough, about his findings. I even got a detailed report printed out about everything I was informed of during the exam. Noting that I needed glasses, I picked my frames out next. Although I was disappointed to hear that Friedman Optometry no longer carries Coach frames (they're so cute!), I had a decent selection to choose from. They had Nike, bebe, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Fendi, Guess, Flexon, Revlon, Candie's (which I ended up with), and a few others. You will have no problem finding frames for a high or low budget. The lady assisting me in choosing frames was awesome. I don't recall her name, but she helped me choose the style I like, stay within the budget I wanted, and gave her opinion of how the frames looked on my face. Overall, good experience. These guys know what they are doing. I felt comfortable and welcome. I think they'd do even better if they were in a standalone building. The screaming children in the waiting lobby were fairly irritating, but for the quality of care and service I got, it's such a miniscule annoyance. I will be recommending this office to others! read more

I loved my experience at Friendman!! The appointment was quick and my prescription is on point! The ladies in the front took wonderful care of me. Kelly spent a long while trying to find glasses that worked for me and they're my favorite I've ever owned! Highly recommend. read more

I came to Friedman's based on reviews, I'm thinking some have to be false. My appointment was for 11am, I checked in 20 minutes early as recommended to do new patient forms. It didn't appear to be extremely busy, however, I was not called to get paperwork to fill out until 11:35am.... 1:30pm and still not finished with appointment. Also, there is not a very good selection of frames. The dr was nice, but time is valuable it shouldn't take hours for an appointment, unless you are having your eyes dilated or extensive testing. read more

Great doctors and nurses but the waiting room is an awful expierence and the wait is alwasy long. Even with an appoinment the wait is veru long be prepared. Frame variety is okay not the best but decent prices. The kids Seem to like the place thats why we still go back every year. read more

The younger Dr. Friedman was absolutely amazing. He explained everything so well and made my children and I feel so comfortable during and after the exam. He also was able to get eye drops approved for me that my Ophthalmologist couldn't even get approved. I will never go to any other Optometrist again. He was awesome!!! read more

Dr Friedman is my go to optometrist. Have been going here the last 5 years, and this is best optometrist I've been to, and I've been wearing glasses since I was 8. Not only do you always see a optometrist who is helpful and makes sure you receive the best modern vision care and testing, it's more about what happens after you see the doctor and get ready to order your glasses/contacts. This can be a daunting task. You have to use these vision helpers for at least another year. That's where Kelly comes in. She can point you to what suits your needs and she has no qualms about going off the rack of what's available and searching for what suits your needs. I have bought 4 sets of glasses special order, and each time, Kelly insures not only was I kept apprised of status of order, but also to insure me they hadn't forgot about me. One order took 3 months. And she was in contact the entire time period. So Friedman is a great optometry establishment and Kelly is the person who puts this facility over the top. Plus is she works at both locations. So call ahead if you want to make sure your in contact with their most treasured employee. read more

This has got to be probably the best optometrist office in the IE hands down... i liked that they are very informative and explain in detail their findings and suggestions. They listened to exactly what i had to say and felt, was never pressured into doing something i didnt want. But also they are very generous, courteus, and respectfull. Im talking bout their full staff, finally a place that has class and takes pride in what they do. The optometrists take their time with you so you dont feel rushed. This felt like i was back in the care of military doctors, thats how satisfied i left. read more

Best eye exam I've ever had. The doctor explained in detail what was wrong with my eyes and how they can help me. He remembered me from a previous appointment that happened two years prior, and my husband as well. I like a doctor that's remembers my family no matter how long it has been.I suggest everyone go there for the best care and the nicest staff. read more

I went to the Friedman Optometry office in San Bernardino as a new patient. The location is not the best, as in parking was tiiiiight (my appt was at 11:30am). Definitely get there early! The building comprises several medical offices, FO is located in the 2nd floor. I went to the window and signed in. The front counter lady was pleasant and had a smile on her face as she explained the paperwork I had to fill out and didn't just shove a clipboard to my face. A good first impression is always a plus for new patients! The ONLY bad part about my experience is the initial wait. I waited for nearly 45 minutes before I was seen. I was given my preliminary exams by Claudia, another pleasant lady. She was patient with answering my questions too. They had exams and gadgets that I have never tried before, which made me feel like I was getting a real comprehensive check. I also paid for the $35 service of having your retina photographed (I think it was my retina). Soon after, I was seen by the father Friedman (there's a father and son). At first I was weary. I've never had good experiences being checked by older Dr.'s who were usually impatient. But Dr. Friedman proved me wrong. He was clearly very knowledgeable and gave me lots of useful information in laymen terms - information I've never been told before. The retina photo I previously took was also explained in detail. Having never seen a photo of my eye before, I had many questions. And he answered them all as best he could, and not once did I feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed. It was a good patient-doctor communication. Lastly, I got passed on to the Sales Manager, Kelly, another pleasant gal. She very kindly answered all my questions about what's covered under my insurance. I never felt rushed to choose a frame, and I had a clear breakdown of what I was paying for. No hidden fees! Other than a long wait, I'm a very happy patient who will definitely recommend this office! read more

I originally choose Friedman Optometry 5 years ago because it was close to work and they took my insurance. I continue to go because of the ease of making appointments (by calling or online), the friendly staff, the timeliness from sign in to exiting the building, and the doctors. I have seen three of the doctors on staff and all took care of my vision needs with knowledge and professionalism. I, now, see only Dr. Brandon Friedman because I feel very comfortable under his care. He is very good and really cares about his patients. The optician, Kelly is excellent and she is another big reason I continue to go to Friedman. I have been wearing glasses for over ten years and Kelly was the first Optician to get the measurements and placement of my blended bi-focals perfect. She helps me choose glasses that are right for me and in my budget. She knows all about the insurance co-pays and works to meet your financial situation. When my husband and daughter neeedd an Optometrist I sent them to Friedman! read more

I've been coming here for 2 years now. Everything except the lobby experience is exceptional. Staff & doctors treat you with respect and caring. Appointment run on time unlike MANY other doctor offices! No hard sales for anything which I appreciate. Prices are fair, I don't feel I paid too much. Plenty of parking. read more

Dr. Brandon Friedman, is an exceptional Optometrist, very easy to talk with, very thorough and helpful. Extremely courteous and professional. My only complaint is that the office has to share their lobby with two other medical offices. Gets a little chaotic and noisy. Other than that I highly recommend Friedman Optometry. read more
