So far I love this little salad bar that opened up on 103 and Jasper. Today I tried the metaboost salad (field greens and spinach, kale, mangos, carrots, edamame, almonds, goat cheese, balsamic vinaigrette) it was amazingly delicious and soooo healthy. They also offer, wraps, burritos and build you own salad, as well as froyo and fresh squeezed juices. I am really happy with this healthy option right in my work neighborhood. I no longer have to trek to Jugo juice or Sunterra. Freshii makes everything fresh, using fresh ingredients. Seriously, it's FRESH. They have wraps, bowls, salad, soups, juice, smoothies, and more! The place is decorated great and has a nice window bar. You have to careful with what you order though because some combinations I find to be really gross. The prices are quite high, so I won't be here too often. read more

I tried Freshii for the first time ever, at their Jasper Avenue location. I was looking for a lunch that was healthy and reasonably-priced. My burrito was packed with brown rice, fresh vegetables, and other goodness, and I added tofu for an extra couple of dollars. Yes, $10 is a bit high to pay for a burrito, but like I said it was very fresh and packed, and I was quite full after I finished. The place itself is very clean and large, and the staff quite friendly. I do plan on coming back and trying one of their bowls and maybe some juice. read more

Not a wonderful experience at Freshii. And to be honest, I'm not sure I ever have. I often find the food very bland. I understand when looking for a healthier fast food option it's not gonna be as flavorful as a big juicy burger but it definitely doesn't have to be flavorless. This time I had the Bangkok wrap and it tasted like just plain vegetables. It's supposed to have some sort of peanut sauce on it but it had no flavor. I also ordered it with chicken. When there was no meat on it I brought me receipt to the attention of a staff member and he said we ordered steak. Me and my wife would never order steak on a wrap. Then he told me he remembered putting steak on it. So I poured the contents of the wrap out just to confirm for him, there was no meat of any kind. They remade the wrap with chicken and another sauce and it had a slight him of flavor but not much. My wife on the other hand had a bowl that was so spicy she had to buy an extra coconut water drink to cool her face off. She loves spicy food and is never affected by it and they said it's totally normal how spicy it was. Really weird experience. I'd avoid the place. read more

A friend of mine suggested me to go to Freshii for lunch. This place is very close to City Centre. I went there on Easter Monday because other places were closed. They have burritos, wraps, soups and salads. I had the Baja burrito, I was pleased to see quinoa (instead of rice) in there :) The size of the burrito was normal, not too filling not too small; but for those who eat a little more than average this wouldn't be satisfying enough. The place was clean and since it was a "holiday" it wasn't too packed. I wanted to try Freshii out since it was new in the downtown neighbourhood, also because I never tried their other locations before. I knew it would be overpriced to begin with, but hey, it's something new, right? The place itself looks great, hip and "fresh" as part of the brand I'm sure. I got the Freshii green smoothie and market wrap with chicken. The smoothie was really good, but the regular size seemed more like a small. For $6, I can make my own smoothies at home for a week. The wrap was okay, at least it tasted VERY healthy, loaded with spinach, cranberries, quinoa, and beet and apple slaw. A creative and healthy combination, but a little too much for me. I like my salads and wraps a little more on the simple side, and most of the menu items here have just too much going on. Also, I'm not crazy about the way they make the meals here. They seem clean and organized, but for each order they toss all the ingredients into a plastic bag and toss it around to mix them up and coat them in dressing. Sounds like a great idea and works well, but it just seems so wasteful, to use all those plastic bags and throw them out. Not really sold on Freshii, willing to walk a bit further for Jugo. read more

I enjoy going to this location as it is close to work. They are always friendly and efficient, even when the line up is out the door. Great choices, and they always encourage "customizing" your order which is nice. I like that I don't have to necessarily order just what is on the menu. Their juices are also delicious! I LOVE the "freshii green" smoothie they have here. So good, I keep going back!! I believe it has kale, avocado, pineapple, and yogurt; and boy is it delicious! But the few chances I've tried the food I have been a let down every time. The items (rice bowls, burritos, etc) are all around the $7-$8 mark, but the sneaky part is that that doesn't include chicken. When I was asked if I wanted to add chicken for a few extra dollars to my $7 teriyaki rice bowl, I was thinking, seriously? I could get the same thing INCLUDING chicken at Edo. So I decided to try it sans chicken, and the rice with just broccoli, carrots, and sauce was nothing to write home about. Next time I tried the Buddha satay noodle bowl (again, no chicken), and I wasn't in love with that either. Maybe my expectations are too high because I was prepared for maximum delicious-ness with the healthiest ingredients around? Last try, I stopped in again to grab supper for my boyfriend and I ($31 for two smoothies and two food items... In my opinion that's over-priced for what you get), and I splurged on chicken for us! I decided to try one of the burritos (I specifically chose one off the menu that appeared to not have cilantro, as it was not listed in the ingredients like it was in some other options... I hate nothing more than cilantro) and my burrito was full of cilantro! So that was a major disappointment. I realize cilantro doesn't bother most people, so I will say that besides that, the burrito was full of flavourful quinoa and would have been delicious. I was excited to come try Freshii after work as it seemed like a healthy option. I tried one of their bowls as I love Chopped and thought it would be similar. I got the Pangoa bowl with chicken and it was so spicy! I normally don't have issues with spicy food but this is so spicey I got a diet coke. It seems like it should be a garnish but they drenched my food in it so it was soaked. I still want to try it again but am going to try something else. read more

I always feel super healthy after eating meals from this location! Food is consistently FRESH, high quality ingredients, energizing, and nicely presented. My favorite is Metaboost salad packed with mango, edamame, feta, carrots, almonds, etc. Also like the Buddha Satay and Mediterranean bowls, now addicted to cocoa energy bites, healthy juices, and immune elixir. I tried to give this place a second chance but was disappointed yet again. They are way over priced for the taste and amount you get. This time I got the Market salad that supposedly was their most popular at almost $10! The taste was not awful but it tasted like something I could easily muster up at home by looking online and following a simple recipe. I really wanted to love Freshii as I think they have a beautiful space with ample seating as well as pleasant and efficient staff but the food here really falls short of the five star mark for me. I went with a buffalo wrap because I love spice but alas there isn't alot of spice to be had here. It had an extremely watered down taste and I almost couldn't taste the sauce at all. I also paid extra for the chicken which brought the cost of the wrap up to almost $10.00 (this is without a drink) but chicken pieces were few and far between. Thankfully at least the veggies were super fresh but that was not enough to save my overpriced lunch. There are dozens of great lunch options in the downtown core so I don't think one would have to expend alot of effort to find something better. If you still feel the need to try it though I HIGHLY recommend asking for extra dressing or sauce. read more

This Freshii location opened up back in the summer and it is a good place to go if you are looking for something fairly healthy and fresh. They offer an array of salads, noodle bowls, burritos, soups and juices for a cleanse. Everything is vegetarian with an option to add a protein (chicken, beef or tofu) for an additional cost. The service is quick. They do their best to get the orders out as quickly as they come in as it tends to get very busy over the lunch hour. This time I ordered the Smokehouse Burrito with no protein. It was good. It contained brown rice, black beans, red onions, tomatoes, corn, cheddar, and a semi-spicy yogurt sauce. I am always very full after having one of these burritos and I think they are the best bang for your buck at $7 or so. I have tried a couple of the salads in the past. They are ok but I don't find them as satiating as the burrito. The last couple of times that I have been here, the music has been very loud. This time it was perfect. I could talk comfortably with my friends. All in all a nice place to pop in for lunch. read more

Tried this for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I thought they would jam pack the wrap with lettuce because so many places do that but it was delicious. I got the cob wrap which has eggs bacon blue cheese chicken etc. Was awesome. For a healthy meal you feel satisfied and they are on skip the dishes so if you are on that diet but want to order In this is the healthy way. Love it read more

Had a TexMex Burrito and all I could taste was pasty brown rice, very little of anything else and not enough to even taste. It looked good on the menu but its not what you get, this is only the second time going there, won't be going back. Not worth the money, that's for sure. I've been here 7 or 8 times now. It has been awesome every time! Some of the combinations don't taste the best so just make sure you read everything in the combination before you order, or just custom make a wrap/salad. The staff is almost always very friendly! There is one girl (haven't been there for a couple months, she may be gone) who is kind of rude and simply has no idea what customer service means (unfriendly, doesn't say "Hi how are you?", just "What can I get you?" etc. Other than that, love it here. I usually share a wrap with my mom when we go for lunch, it's huge. What I also like about this place, is that unlike subway or pita pit or places like that, they put all the ingredients in a bag and shake it up with the sauce, so you get a little bit of everything in each bite, not a bite of veggies, then a bite of meat, then a bite of saucey bread etc etc. It's great!
