Yelper, Jason, asked if I wanted to go for lunch at Freshii. Initially I was a little reluctant as I have a strict policy against eating food that might benefit my health. But I was having an okay hair day and I had nothing else to do so I agreed. I had the Smokehouse Burrito consisting of brown rice, spicy yogurt sauce, tomatoes, corn, cheddar, black beans, and red onions. I got them to hold the red onions. To "energize my meal" I added chicken. You have your choice of chicken, steak, tofu, or falafel. I was totally unfamiliar with Freshii and what they had to offer. The lady working that day was totally patient, caring, kind, and good-humoured about explaining the menu to me and making recommendations about what I might like. In addition to burritos they also offer bowls and wraps. I'll be back to try the Spicy Sriracha Chili bowl. I can feel my insides burning up already just thinking about it.

The rice is always either super sticky or super hard & undercooked. They use hardly any sauce & the burrito is mostly just a tortilla wrap. I recommend going to south commons Freshii which is what I do most of the time, they are much more generous with their portion of filling for the burritos and the beans never hurt my throat. It's a little annoying because it's further away but this location is just not it. Maybe just don't order the smokehouse? I'll leave 2 stars because usually I love freshii, just not this location. :(

We ordered through Skip (lazy night tonight) and the order held up quite nicely. They redeemed themselves a little bit tonight and I will go back.

Menu can be viewed online and we were able to place a pre-order for an office lunch, which was ready (and correct) for pick up at the specified time, with a bunch of napkins and forks tucked in the bag. By the way, the Buddha Bowl listed online may show up as 'Buddha Sat' on your receipt - no worries as this is just referring to the satay peanut sauce in the Buddha Bowl and is exactly the same thing. My Buddha Bowl with chicken was a great balance of rice stick noodles, broccoli, purple cabbage, green onions, and chicken. Lots of chicken, actually - 3 of the 4 ordered bowls had lots of meat, with the exception of one person's (not sure what happened there). Have to say that the 'crispy wontons' weren't crispy anymore (I guess because it had been sitting in the sauce), and the 'spicy peanut sauce' wasn't spicy almost at all. The veggies were all very fresh... I had some wicked green onion breath after eating the bowl haha. Everyone else enjoyed their bowls, as did those who had burritos. By the way, the burritos are quite large, and when you consider the fillings (like beans or quinoa), it is quite a serious meal! Prices are reasonable. This particular location also offers meal plans which is kind of cool - depending on what you're looking for (e.g., weight loss, building mass, etc), they have a plan for you where for a set price (sorry can't remember what it is now) they will provide you with three set meals plus snacks per day. I don't recommend the spicy sandwich but they do have other options that I've preferred. The hot of the afternoon was my peanut butter cookie, now that was delicious! For this days lunch experience it was a swing and a miss (I'm trying to try new things, so it's bound to happen).
