The wife and I are on a cleanse where we have a diet plan. 12 days we have to get creative to keep eating fun. Today we were on the south side and decided to hit up Copper Branch. Wife got the Aztec bowl while I got the Asian fusion. I must say, this is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the city. Consistently very tasty. Service was great and prompt. They were out of quite a few things but I wont hold that against them too much. It was around lunch and had a normal lunchtime feel. Very clean and well lit. Definitly hits the wallet nicely though. It's not cheap eating healthy, haha! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't already. Definitely a nice change from other places. Replenish the body!!! read more

I'm actually surprised at all the poor reviews. I actually prefer this to the other "popular" plant-based restaurant. I used to come here fairly often when I lived nearby. Since moving quite far away, I haven't had the chance in probably 3 years ish. To me, the fact that my 'go-to' is just as delicious as I remember speaks to consistency. I ordered the Aztec bowl with Tempeh. Pretty delicious- lots of different textures which is always what I like in a bowl. Service is good enough- it's a walk up type service, so you don't need much. They provide cups and a sink to fill your water yourself. They were sold out of many things, but fortunately not what I came for haha. Inside it has a quick service vibe like Freshii or Chopped Leaf. Decently clean, but I did see someone have to ask for napkins to clean their own table off before sitting. The only additional note I'll say is eating healthier is so expensive haha. I got take-out from here recently. In terms of food, I tried the General Copper Bowl, the Tacos Pura Vida, and the Portobello Mushroom Galaxy Burger with Sweet Potatoes. The General Copper Bowl felt like a typical meaty meal which was a nice small surprise. The tacos were quite nice, but I felt that the sauce was a bit too much after the first one. Lately i have been trying to cut down my chicken consumption. So, i decided to explore this newly and beautiful vegan cafe Copper Branch. If i talk about ambience, it is simply amazing, clean and positive with minimalist decor. I and my husband decided to give a try to their vegan burgers. We ordered: Mushroom Galaxy Burger: I totally got impressed by the oven roasted Portobello mushroom teamed up with caramelized onion, Zucchini and aioli sauce. Recently opened it's located right off 23rd ave in south common (opposite Canadian Tire). Very easy to find. Lunch rush was over. Restaurant very clean. very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fast service. We choose burrito which was really delicious but very small portion. And Spicy Bean burger . Again small but very delicious. Could feel the lingering spice for a while. Our only complain is that for the price they should come with sides ie fries or salad. Felt quantity was not worth the price. Washrooms available. Public parking outside the strip mall. read more

This was my first time in Edmonton as well as my first time at Copper Branch! I had a really great experience here. I stopped in at Copper Branch to grab some breakfast before hitting the road for a 4 hour car ride. I ordered the avocado toast and the Revolution smoothie and they were both really delicious! The service was great; the man who served me had such an infectious smile and it was just the thing I needed to brighten my day after sitting on a plane for a couple of hours. I'll definitely be going back and trying more on the menu, in Edmonton or back in Toronto! My husband brought me the General copper-which had General Tao, broccoli, fresh avocado, organic brown rice, sesame seeds, sriracha coleslaw, Copper Branch General Copper sauce (organic gluten-free tamari, red wine vinegar, fennel seeds, star anise, red pepper, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, olive oil, tomato, spices). I'm a big fan of Copper Branch. It's nice having a fast-food option in our city where I can eat every single thing on the menu. I usually opt for one of their power bowls when I visit and my favourite would have to be the Aztec. You would never guess that the sour cream was vegan. It's super creamy and a great compliment to the rest of the bowl. I usually choose the tempeh as my protein but the carrot keftedes are a great option with the Mediterranio bowl. The staff here are always very knowledgeable about the ingredients in everything on the menu and are happy to offer suggestions. Usually my orders are to-go but they do have a fairly large, nice space to sit and eat if you choose to. Copper Branch is an amazing spot for vegans and vegetarians and it's a nice change of pace for omnivores looking for something healthy and unique. read more

My second time there and had heard about the 'bennie' burger so wanted to try it....asked the shop girl if it was gluten free, she didn't know, and pulled up the ingredients on her phone for me to look at...hmmm Ordered the combo and when I questioned the price found out the gluten free bun I requested was extra. I don't think that is right! This place is listed as gluten free(for the most part) so there shouldn't be an extra cost. It's hard enough to find gf restaurants as it is. The bun fell apart when I was eating it, very messy, very wet(so no pics) it was a 4 napkin ordeal....that taste was good, but the patty was not exactly hot. I went wanting to love this place...but left not sure I was even 'in like'. It's a new location, so to be fair I probably need to give it a few weeks to see if they can work the kinks out. They have a great selection of healthy options, and our table tried everything from the waffles (tasty, but limp and lukewarm), to the soy 'chicken wings' (decent enough, but very chewy and not something I would order again). The black bean burger was good (6/10), the copper bowl very good (7/10), and the Matcha lime smoothie bowl delicious (8/10). The copper cube roast potatoes were bland and forgettable, while the can of Kombucha 'Love potion' was a refreshing drink that I would definitely order again. This is probably the most disappointed I've ever been when eating vegan food. I had ordered the sweet potato poutine, spinach hummus, and the buffalo wings. Sweet Potato Poutine: This was incredibly unsatisfying. The sweet potatoes were quite undercooked, and had a complete lack of flavor, it was around the same experience as eating a raw sweet potato straight from the grocery store. The toppings were quite sparse, and what was there was underneath the potatoes and soggy. Overall a disgusting dish. Buffalo Wings: These had a complete lack of flavour, tasting and having the same texture as a chewed up wad of paper. Just terrible. The coleslaw accompanying it was very warm and soggy. Yet another dish that left me extremely disappointed. Spinach Hummus: This actually tasted quite nice. However, the portion was laughable, containing around 10 chips and a tablespoon of hummus. Paying 7 dollars and receiving about as much as you can sample for free at any grocery store is an insult. I would reccomend any vegan/vegetarian enthusiast to go to another location in the city, as there are many amazing places in Edmonton. Unfortunately, this is not one of them, in fact this is probably some of the worst food I've ever had the displeasure of eating. read more

Love that there are more plant based vegan options for fast casual dining cropping up. I had the Aztec Bowl with Carrot Keftedes. You can choose your protein with tofu scramble, smoked tofu, tempeh and the keftedes as options. The bowl was over $14 so a fairly high price point. Vegetables and toppings we're fresh but there wasn't much flavour. Could have used some garlic, spices and salt. The interior is quaint and clean however I don't know if I'll be back simply based on value for money. read more

Hooray! Another good Vegan option in the Millwoods area, similar to Chopped Leaf or Freshii. Had the Copper Branch bowl, very nice tasting, not too spicy, brown rice and veg. Guy behind the counter very friendly and brought me s "sampler" plate of their protein options for other menu items! Tasty Again, impressed. Doing a take out for my significant other as well. Great little restaurant that serves healthy, plant based food. We came here for brunch and ordered the zucchini pasta and the beet burger. Both the dishes were great and very filling. Good food, simple as that. I'm not vegan, vegetarian, or anything else but I dropped in for lunch the other day and tried the crab burger. Absolutely delicious! Crab patty had a nice crunch on the outside and good flavor. No skimping on size either. Would never have guessed it was vegan! Only minor critique would be that the tomato slice was slightly under ripe, otherwise perfect. While waiting the chef gave me a taste of the teriyaki beef he was cooking. Great texture and flavor. Was very impressed with the food and the staff was super nice. Will definitely go back. read more
