Lately i have been trying to cut down my chicken consumption. So, i decided to explore this newly and beautiful vegan cafe Copper Branch. If i talk about ambience, it is simply amazing, clean and positive with minimalist decor. I and my husband decided to give a try to their vegan burgers. We ordered: Mushroom Galaxy Burger: I totally got impressed by the oven roasted Portobello mushroom teamed up with caramelized onion, Zucchini and aioli sauce. Spicy Black Bean Burger: Black bean patty served with southwest sauce in a burger was also a great treat to your tastebuds. Rating: Ambience: 4.5/5 Taste: 4/5 Value for Money: 4.5/5 Service:4/5

Recently opened it's located right off 23rd ave in south common (opposite Canadian Tire). Very easy to find. Lunch rush was over. Restaurant very clean. very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fast service. We choose burrito which was really delicious but very small portion. And Spicy Bean burger . Again small but very delicious. Could feel the lingering spice for a while. Our only complain is that for the price they should come with sides ie fries or salad. Felt quantity was not worth the price. Washrooms available. Public parking outside the strip mall.

Avocado toast. So in love with the bread.

This was my first time in Edmonton as well as my first time at Copper Branch! I had a really great experience here. I stopped in at Copper Branch to grab some breakfast before hitting the road for a 4 hour car ride. I ordered the avocado toast and the Revolution smoothie and they were both really delicious! The service was great; the man who served me had such an infectious smile and it was just the thing I needed to brighten my day after sitting on a plane for a couple of hours. I'll definitely be going back and trying more on the menu, in Edmonton or back in Toronto! This new location in Edmonton is really beautiful, and I highly recommend you check it out if you're in the area. Support new businesses bringing plant based options to the mainstream!

My husband brought me the General copper-which had General Tao, broccoli, fresh avocado, organic brown rice, sesame seeds, sriracha coleslaw, Copper Branch General Copper sauce (organic gluten-free tamari, red wine vinegar, fennel seeds, star anise, red pepper, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, olive oil, tomato, spices). And I was not impressed! Over priced for no reason! $18.00! Are you kidding me!? I can wipe this up in less then $5.00! such a waste of money I would not go back here ever again!

Trying to eat more plant based food so I thought I'd try this place out. Very pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. HUGE menu of veg and vegan options. Likely the most diverse I've seen. Orders the galaxy burger and with a little hot sauce it didn't disappoint. Learned this is a Canadian franchise so all the better. No free wifi and the value equation is a bit out of whack but I'll definitely be back.

Love that there are more plant based vegan options for fast casual dining cropping up. I had the Aztec Bowl with Carrot Keftedes. You can choose your protein with tofu scramble, smoked tofu, tempeh and the keftedes as options. The bowl was over $14 so a fairly high price point. Vegetables and toppings we're fresh but there wasn't much flavour. Could have used some garlic, spices and salt. The interior is quaint and clean however I don't know if I'll be back simply based on value for money.

Good Stock has become one of my favourite vegan spots in Edmonton. I've been here quite a few times…read morenow and I've never been disappointed. In fact, since they've opened, they've only gotten better. They now offer great options for catering and to-go. You can buy an entire lasagna or casserole for a really reasonable price. Great for those nights you really don't feel like cooking. My favourite menu item by far is the buffalo chickpea wrap. I love that they choose to use more natural ingredients for their food rather than opting for processed fake meats. This wrap is spicy and hearty and it comes with your choice of side. I don't think I've ever finished my meal in one sitting. The portions are very generous. My second favourite would have to be the loaded taco bowl. If you're looking for a healthier, gluten-free option, this is it! It is a taco salad on a bed of kale and basmati rice. The ground "meat" (made from walnuts) and their cashew sour cream are SO close to the real thing. Another awesome thing about Good Stock is that they make their own vegan cheese. I always end up taking a one of them to-go (the truffle one is my fave).

I ordered soup (what else do you order from a place called Good Stock?) and a bagle. Certainly the soup was hardy and it was good but not in the same league as the Prairie Soup Company. The bagle was excellent. It was covered with a generous spread of jam and the jam tasted like home made. Their menu is large and should have something to thrill most vegetarians. There are lots of tables so bring all of your veggie friends. Service was very friendly in a genuine sort of way which is certainly appreciated. If you are looking for a casual place to take your veggie friends this could be it. Did I mention that the jam was excellent?

Price: $$/5 - On the higher side of average for fast food pricing. Customer Service: 4/5 - Servers were polite. Service speed was average. Location: 3/5 - For most people it is a little out of the way. Some stores nearby in southpark. Transit close by. Taste: 5/5 - I have had most menu items and they vary from good to delicious. Menu: 4/5 - Menu is average size with many unique items. Might not please fussy eater. Vegan friendly. Sustainability: 4/5 - Packaging is biodegradable, store designed with ecofriendly materials, WE Chairty. Strengths - Tasty, environmentally friendly. Weaknesses - Not the best location. Good items to buy: Oaxaca, Khao san, green genius. Summary: 3.8/5 - Overall, I would recommend stopping by Freshii. They have great tasting meals that are healthy but not as low calorie as you would expect. Their menu is average size and may not please a fussy kid. I love that they give a free meal to kids in need with select purchases. The one area I think they could improve is by using local Canadian ingredients. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!!

Fast food that's designed to not give you a heart attack…read more Imagine that. Could even be crazy enough to work. Welcome to Freshii. So there I was ... my friend and (former?) Yelper, Jason, asked if I wanted to go for lunch at Freshii. Initially I was a little reluctant as I have a strict policy against eating food that might benefit my health. But I was having an okay hair day and I had nothing else to do so I agreed. I had the Smokehouse Burrito consisting of brown rice, spicy yogurt sauce, tomatoes, corn, cheddar, black beans, and red onions. I got them to hold the red onions. To "energize my meal" I added chicken. You have your choice of chicken, steak, tofu, or falafel. I was totally unfamiliar with Freshii and what they had to offer. The lady working that day was totally patient, caring, kind, and good-humoured about explaining the menu to me and making recommendations about what I might like. In addition to burritos they also offer bowls and wraps. I'll be back to try the Spicy Sriracha Chili bowl. I can feel my insides burning up already just thinking about it.

This is a wonderful addition to Edmonton's vegan food scene. Fast food of all kinds - including…read morepizza, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and more - all plant-based. The place itself seems a bit sterile, and you have to order via a kiosk paying with a card, and I found the process at first rather confusing. There was a person behind the counter who helped me. The food is reasonably priced and delicious, with a wide variety as I previously mentioned. If you are vegan, or vegan-curious, definitely check this place out.

This review is based on my experience at their new Vancouver, B.C. location…read more.. We've been wanting to visit Odd Burger's new Vancouver location since it opened in late November of 2024. When visiting Edmonton last May, we didn't find out until our last day about their Edmonton grand opening and thus ended up missing out .. oops I'm happy to say we were finally able to make it out this past Friday!!! Oh my goodness, this place rocks and really makes me yearn for a vegan fast food place in Seattle-area. I love how friendly the staff was and, how customizable your food can be. When ordering, you can place your order using one of the two kiosks available to patrons. The kiosks are big, bright, speedy, overall just super easy to use! Their breakfast options are available all day (nice!). We went with a Maple Crunch Breakfast Sammy, great sandwich combination of the english muffin, hash brown, tofu and, melty cheese! My wife ordered the Chickun Cordon Bleu, delicious hand formed seitan chickun filet, with ham, cheese and a perfect amount of mayo, enough to keep the bread from being dry but not so much that it was overwhelming. I chose the Bacun Famous Melt with a chickpea patty. So, this gives me an opportunity to detail how attentive and sweet the staff are. I mentioned earlier how customizable your options are. So, for example, if you wanted a gluten free option, when using the kiosk .. there wasn't a separate listing for a gluten free sandwich, instead you choose the type of patty and type of bun that you'd prefer (in addition to other aspects that you can customize). In this manner, you select the type of sandwich you're looking for but then select the gluten free options. I'm not gluten free but I was really curious to try their chickpea patty. A few minutes after we placed the order at the kiosk, one of the staff came over to verify if I didn't mean to order a gluten free bun as well (given that I had chosen a patty that happened to be gluten free) as well as asked about the bacun (as that too has gluten). I can't speak enough for that level of care and attention to me, as a customer .. *wow*! I'm glad I chose the chickpea patty, it did not disappoint, had a wonderful flavor and crisp bite, coupled with their house-made bacun and secret sauce . Well, what's not a secret is how delectable the sandwich was! We ordered two additional items, one of which was the Smokey Pulled Jack Tater Tot Poutine. This is easily large enough to feed two people, all kinds of flavors happening there ... some kind of poutine magic! Last, but definitely not least .. the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. I need to emphasize that Strawberry Shortcake was one of my favorite desserts growing up and even way before veganism was a thing, this dessert wasn't the easiest to get right because it takes the right balance of ice cream to strawberry goodness and the cake, the amount and consistency of the cake is always what makes or breaks this dessert. Well, if I'm being totally honest ...this was 1,000% spot on, exactly as I remember my favorite dessert to be from back in the day. There was plenty of cake .. but not too much, and it was just the right texture to balance with the dessert, no joke! Odd Burgers has a number of locations throughout Canada. Locally, there's the one in Vancouver and another in Victoria. There's also a location in Calgary, one in Edmonton with another on the way, as well one in Regina (Saskatchewan) and quite a few throughout Ontario. That's good news because if you're visiting Canada, chances are there's one nearby to check out. I've heard rumblings that they might expand one day in Washington, no idea if that'll come to fruition or not but ... fingers crossed!!!
