Pre-booked a spot for "owners birthday" all-day buffet as I have looked at this menu and could not narrow down what I wanted to try. Buffet is the way to go! We needed to put a $10 deposit down when making the reservation which was fine for me as I knew I wasn't going to bail. I like that on the website there are parking instructions. Ended up parking on a residential street (2hr limit) just west of the restaurant which worked well as 1 buffet time slot is 90minutes. We arrived on-time but there was a line-up to get in (several people had reservations, 1 wanted to order takeout at the counter, 1 wanted to get buffet takeout) but ALSO a line up to pay. And the same guy had to do it all - check people in and get people's bill and pay (pay at the front counter not at the table). This was quite inefficient but the guy did super well and the line did move. I think it was because they only have 1 computer and need it to book people at tables but also to ring up the bills - if business is good I would love to see 2 lines/2 computers going. Anyway we were seated once we got the counter and buffet was up and going already Not too bad of a line to get to the buffet. ALSO you can just pay for a take-put container and join the buffet line and you fill the container as full as you can and as long as the lid closes you are good to go. Foods and ratings: White rice: 10/10, fresh, white, never ran out Spring rolls: 8/10, great crisp but not as full of filling as I would have liked Deep-fried shrimp: 5/10, too much doughy breading Corn Fritter: 8/10, in a cute heart shape! but tasted like cream corn out of a can "Beef" and veg stir fry: 9/10, was not labelled as spicy but it was HOT, "meat" was sooo tender and delicious but too hot for my taste. My +one took a bunch of the veg and found it too spicy to eat. Fat Noodles: 9/10, less greasy than Chinese food. Mongolian "beef": 10/10, probably my favorite flavor but quite sweet and after a few too many the sweetness it quite a lot Potatoes: 5/10: no flavor, well cooked but just potato Shrimp chips: 9/10, i wondered why these weren't on the dessert table but was fun to see these here. Fresh, well cooked. Ginger Beef: 7/10, I was highly recommended this one but I found others were much more to my liking eggplant stir fry: it was out so I didn't try this one Sweet'n'Sour "chicken": 9/10, this one also had really nice flavor and texture. "beef" jerky: 10/10: loved the texture and flavor. Tofu Veg Stir Fry: 7/10, Tofu was a little softer than I would have liked ( I prefer mine with a hard crust) and light flavoring - I took all the green peas Dessert: Tapioca pudding with fruit in it: 4/10 But Only because I do not like Tapioca pudding Chocolate cupcake: 10/10, very flavorful icing. Cold ?lentil soup: 10/10, tastes just like Chinese red bean soup but cold so I loved it. Didn't try (because I was STUFFED): butter tart, fruit (looked like jam) tart Free iced tea and water as well. Self serve both but also a waitress came around twice in the 70minutes we were there and refilled our glasses. We did not use the full 90minutes as we couldn't eat another bite! They also mentioned every 100g leftover is $2-3 extra but that it is donated to charity. Loved this to prevent waste. I love the idea that most are meat labelled but my meat-loving, Alberta beef-eating, classic-flavors-only father would probably not like the textures or flavors. Overall 100% recommend the buffet so you can see what you like and try soo many dishes. $28/person.

This is a lovely restaurant, with a beautiful decor of Buddah Status, wall colors, and photography art. The service is polite, and filled with a good energy. They are quick to bring water, and get the dirty dishes. Note, for the buffet night, we did have to book a reservation, with a fee of $5.00 per seat, on top of the food bill... but it was totally worth it. The buffet here has a decent selection of amazing full of flavor and great texture vegan cuisine. Everything was so good during this visit that everyone at the table went for seconds. The desert options were pretty great as well... the rice pudding was definitely a highlight! I would be willing to again.

Ginger beef , Curry chicken , Tom Yum soup.

One of the most appetizing places in the city for a vegetarian. Service has always been excellent. Would recommend to get there by 820PM.

This restaurant is amazing!! The vibe of the restaurant is homie and comfortable! I believe they hang pictures of the family members around the restaurant. So cute! Staff and owner are super friendly and attentive! Food is amazing! Everything here is vegetarian. We ordered a variety of things and they were all delicious. My favourite was the ginger beef. It's bomb.com. Price of items ranged around $10-$15 per dish! Very fair pricing for the quality and portioning of the food. If you haven't tried this restaurant... you must go there NOW!

As someone who enjoys meat sometimes I shy away from vegan restaurants mostly due to texture but after hearing glowing reviews we decided to stop by when we were in town. Luckily, they were doing a special buffet day that day showcasing many of their items. They weren't kidding about their curry "chicken" being a star item. It was so good after my first round I went back solely for their chicken! I'm still thinking about it to this day and wish I knew they sold it frozen before I left town! I would definitely make a trip up from Calgary just to have it again.

Awesome place with super good vegetarian options. The variety of foods they serve here is very surprising. I would recommend 100%!

The toppings were fresh but maybe because we ordered delivery it just didn't have the as much pizazz as I expected. It was still a tasty pizza. For the kids we ordered the cheese pizza. The combination of orange and white cheese was nice, and it was very saucy. The slices were too big for my littles who had to fold the pizza to eat it. And once it got to us that chewy textured dough has just too difficult for them to chew. The beingets were delightful, same chewy texture. Liked the icing and Carmel to dip. I think this pizza place would have been more enjoyable eating at the location and getting the pizza hot and fresh.

What I don't like is that you have to go up and order. Which I forgot about and so I was wondering why no one was coming outside. These types of restauarants baffle me. If you are are already coming around to fill up water, check on food etc. how much more effort would it be to hand out the menus and take the order? I went with a friend who had the Kale salad while I went with Korean Hawaiian. It was fantastic. Crust was nice and chewy and housemade kimchi gave it a kick. They have a very interesting menu here, with lots of things to try. A little pricy but for high quality vegan food this is the way to do it.

Their food is 100% vegan, what you might expect to find in a diner or bar, decadent and hearty hearty hearty! If you want healthy, they do have three salad options to choose from. We went with the Buffalo Mac'n'Cheese, Poutine, Chkn Wings and ....oh my ... Deep Fried Oreos. We don't really have vegan Poutine options here in Seattle (if you know of any, please do drop a note in the comments section letting me know where) so it's always a treat going to Canada and comparing the various Poutine options as pretty much every vegan place has their own take. If you haven't been to visit yet, you owe it to yourself to try them out. If you find yourself visiting Edmonton, make a point to visit Whyte Avenue and walk up and down the strip checking out all of the store and most definitely, including The Buckingham in your visit.
