My sister and I discovered this little Gem several years ago, while in town. We ate there frequently and Really enjoyed the 'smashed, charred edge' burgers , plus item flavors on the different burgers and dogs! We recommended to our friends. We are recently back in town and have savored several meals here! We visited again on 5/9/25, and had a rude awakening! The gent at register was robotic, with little to no patience! My sister decided to try Mushroom burger, and break with her traditional Sunrise burger. I ordered the Blazin Bleu. I started to eat mine then realized a lack of bleu cheese flavor. The burger had a dressing on it but patty was an atypical smallish round patty, which was almost tasteless, underdone, and no bleu cheese flavor. I assumed I had been given someone else's burger. My sister said she was unimpressed by Mushroom burger, and should have stuck with Sunrise burger. Hers was a round, underdone patty as well! We were both quite surprised! I took mine to register to ask if I'd been given the wrong burger. My ingredients matched Blazin Bleu list, but I told male and female my concerns. The female put a sprinkle of bleu cheese on it. No offer to cook more was made. I could have gotten a McDonald's value burger cheaper. And, because we ordered both 'protein' style, we were charged an extra $0.50....for a small pile of lettuce in a bowl. I guess we've been charged every time, but the printing on menu board is very small, down in a corner! Not sure if we will patronize them in future, at this point! Pretty disappointing!! read more

1st time here. Saw the comments and menu and had to try it. I wanted the bonsai burger, but they were out of chow mein noodles. So switched to the mushroom burger. Also ordered their special covered sweet potato fries. Jim ordered the western burger and the country fries. Everything was good. The only thing I am dinging them on is the staff making the burgers seemed to be studiously avoiding eye contact with customers. A customer even tried to get their attention to ask for help and was ignored. He had to go to order person to get help. I'll be back to try that bonsai burger another day. read more

Arrived to location by that time and had to wait for the cashier to Process an online order that arrived after we stood in line. DON'T READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! So.. my husband and I were having a hard time deciding where we wanted to get a burger. He loves Five Guys.. I don't. I wanted a REAL burger. Well I accidentally happened upon Fresh Press Burger Parlor searching burgers on Uber Eats. Even though it's further away for us, we made the drive. First impressions, we walked in and it looked like a five guys set up, kind of a cross between subway and five guys actually. So not bad. I got the Inferno with an extra patty, and my husband got the Tropical. We finally get home, all of our food still nice and hot! So...... we ate them waaaay too fast to take pictures so I'm adding pics and descriptions from their website! My god we WILL BE COMING BACK!! They truly make a great burger. The condiments and toppings and cheese it's all fresh, the patties are fresh, big, juicy patties. Way better then any restaurant or burger place I've ever been to. Came here hoping to get good food and I ordered a burger with cheese and bacon only for me and my girlfriend and we got burgers with no bacon on it after waiting 15 minutes for our food so I got a burger with no toppings and paid $8+ for it. Then they had the nerve to go and charge me $3 to get the bacon cooked to add on while my food goes cold. This place doesn't include any toppings with ur burgers. Been here twice First time we tried the burgers. Tasty home grilled yummy burgers. We liked the fries too they were crispy and not greasy. Second time we went we got the hot dogs. They are are huge. I'm going for 5-stars for this place. I like burgers and have been to many of the zillion burger joints in the east valley looking for the best ones. The short of it is FPBP is a gormet burger (and dogs) joint with fast food prices, which is a win win for their customers. I had their Big Blue Burger and it was very tasty. The burgers come with as many "Smash Burger" style patties as you like and the fry's are fairly ordinary, but decent. Napkins, mustard and catsup are on the tables and the other condiments and such are at the drink station, which is handy. They're located on the eastern edge of AJ, so it's a little out of the way, unless you're either coming in from or going east. At any rate, it's a pretty good place to grab a really good burger or dog for a pretty reasonable price, which is hard to find these days. read more

Mediocre. the burger sat in a pool of grease, beef didn't taste that great of quality The veggies on my burger were fresh Fries were nothing special . Sour creme, with half burnt corn kernels and peppers. Fries were over cooked. I guess I expected it too look like the meal advertised. When you want some damn good burger grub... come here. Western burger was great (I was worried about the bbq sauce going well and it absolutely went great with all the burger flavor). I asked for fries well done and they were great and salty. I read a lot of the revues, I,agree french fries are good. Just check your bill next time you go there, they help themselves to your money as in tips! Food is ok. They don't seem to be able to get an order corect tho. Went there for a 7.99 burger ,plus tax came to 8.72 Quite alright that is the price I have been paying all along for the senior special. Today , received 2 receipts, one was the one telling me that my grand total is $8.72 the other one says subtotal $9.80 then they added a dollar tip so total altogether came to $10.80 Seems to me they help themselves to $2 tips! there are no signs in this business telling anybody they're going to do that ,and as far as I'm concerned any restaurant that thinks they can dip their hands into my pocket without letting me know,or at least giving me a choice, they'll never see me again... so I don't recommend this restaurant! he had a jar sitting on his counter by the cash register that was full of one dollar bills and this was two in the afternoon,so he was probably stealing extra tip money from everybody that came in there that day, and I don't even know when he started doing this cuz it's been at least two weeks since I was there and they didn't do it then, but I'll be damned if I'm paying $11 for a stinking hamburger.this place does not give you service, you go get the burger when your name is called. Fresh Press is a new startup located in a tired old complex in AJ where the Subway used to be. I hope this business succeeds, because we enjoyed it. The location just doesn't give me.hope for their survival. The restaurant has some booths and tables, and you order at the main counter. There are two things in the menu: burgers and fries. If you do a simple thing well, you don't need anything else. I ordered a burger with provolone, avocado, bacon and Parmesan aioli. Mr. P gets one with chiles, provolone and avocado. Talk about fluffy buns! Is it ok if I talk about fluffy buns? How fluffy were they? They were so fluffy I could use them as pillows! The meat was cooked on an open grill, and weren't squished down...so the patties were juicy and cooked to order. The meat is locally sources from Midwestern Meats too! The fries were crisp and tasty. I wish there were more...the orders were a little small. Fries are served in a small cup, similar to another burger chain that may begin with a number...... The shop was busy. I hope it continues for them. I do wish, though, that they would put up some example burger specialties, so it wouldn't take so long for customers to look at the menu and decide what toppings they want. Keep it up, Fresh Press. This place has the best burger I have ever eaten, bar none. I had The All American. The meat was juicy and extremely tasty. The lettuce, tomatoes and onions were fresh and in perfect proportion, and there was no stinting on the sauce. My wife had the Inferno. Hers was also very juicy and flavorful with a little kick for those who like spicy foods. My girls each had a root beer float which they said was great. We all liked the fries also. I just ordered from them through a delivery service and it was AMAZING! Was hankering for burgers and usually they are delivered just cold and stale from others. But these guys surprised on first bite. The patties were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the buns were fluffy with a chew.
