This was a last-minute decision as we sid a search for hot dogs in our area, and Tavo's came up. Tavo's is a food truck that is open on East Apache Blvd just east of Hawes Rd. As the name says, hot dogs and tacos are the fare. I ordered 2 sonoran style hot dogs, and my wife had a plain hot dog with mustard. They were perfect! The buns were lightly toasted but fresh bread buns. Nothing can ruin a hot dog quicker than a stale or old bun. Tavo's doesn't make that mistake. Fresh toasted hot dog buns are perfect. The ingredients inside are even better. The hot dog is made perfect and piping hot. The ingredients on my Sonoran dog included grilled onions, diced tomatoes, whipped guacamole sauce, mustard, and more. Wow. Excellent flavors. It's tasty but not too spicy. Finished off with a fresh grilled jalapeño on the side! A bite of the pepper goes well with a bite of the hot dog, or if you don't want the spice, ignore the grilled jalapeño. The prices were excellent as well. Each hot dog is only $4. Very reasonable! You can get a hot dog with fries for just $7. This little hot dog and taco stand was a blissful little stop . If you get a chance to stop by (Weds through Sunday evening 4pm-9:30pm), do it. You won't regret it!

Also note that they've partnered up with Clipp.com in which you can get 50% your check. I ordered their French toast and added bacon and eggs. The other places I've eaten bacon at have been so lackluster that I begun to wonder if I even enjoyed bacon anymore. Thanks to Old School Grub, I was able to eat delicious bacon once more. The French toast was warm and tasty and eggs were absolutely wonderful. They also have a large array of hot sauces to choose from. Overall, it was a great experience. The Falafel: I'm not sure if these were meant for human consumption or if they were mistakenly harvested from a Lego set. They were minuscule, aggressively overcooked, and packed a random, spicy punch that felt more like a defensive mechanism than a flavor profile. The Gyro: The classic toppings were a bit of a ghost town. It featured zero tomatoes and a generous helping of onions that had definitely crossed over into "spoiled" territory. The only pleasant part of our meal were the spanakopita, which are obviously purchased, not made on site. It's genuinely disappointing to see a reliable favorite slide so far downhill. Here's hoping they can channel a bit of Joe's original standards and turn things around, but for now, we'll be getting our Mediterranean fix elsewhere.

The one employee there told us it sells out quickly so we probably will have to come in earlier next time. So the next day we got there at 11 and there was jerky! I got two bags for $16. Got home tried it and some of the best beef jerky ever, definitely recommend if you love some great beef jerky.
