Chicken caesar
Stuart M.

Started with a chicken caesar. It took 25 minutes to get the food out. Lettuce and chicken were fine. Dressing tasted like it was from a bottle. Croutons were also pre made, but had a nice crunch. Our other dish was a falafel platter. The falafels were fresh , and enjoyable. The side of humus needed more tahini. The pita was premade. Okay food that doesn't go the extra mile.

a table and two chairs in a restaurant

Looking for a quick place to eat. We ordered the chicken, beef and lamb gyros. There is a lot of construction on the road and parking is terrible but we found a spot and had a bit of a walk. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. It's really causal and a decent local place to grab a meal.

the interior of a deli restaurant

No frills, small Mediterranean deli with walking distance of the zoo..we got 2 pita sandwiches (beef and lamb) and a tabouleh salad. Sandwiches were good with a substantial amount of meat. Came with a hummus sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. All is served in paper plates..again this is a deli. Not bad overall for a quick, budget lunch.

14" pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushroom - $18.45 pre tax and tip
Chris C.

This restaurant has been in our neighborhood forever but for some reason we've never tried it until now. Had a pizza craving one evening and suddenly remembered someone on the Cleveland Park listserv recommending this place awhile ago. So ordered online - they come in 12 and 14 inches and all toppings are additional charge, which makes it easy to mix and match your own choice of toppings. We had a 14 inch with pepperoni, sausage and mushroom, at $18.45 before tax and tip not cheap but quite good, medium thick crust, soft and supple, holds the toppings well - the kind that doesn't get discarded - you'd want to eat it all. Only thing to note is it takes just a bit longer than the time estimate given online when you place the order - it says 15 minutes but will actually take 25-30 mins before ready for pick up.

The focus of Fresh Med is food, food and food! Wow, what a great place for Mediterranean food! Very delicious and very fresh! I was doing my taxes a couple of doors down and decided to give it a try during lunch time, I had to go again next day for more! It was SO GOOD. I even bought more for dinner. The service was also excellent. Very nice people! If you are looking for recommendations I suggest the Beef and Chicken Shawarma, Spinach pie, tabule, and baklava (check pics for reference). Recommended, and definitely coming back, even if I have to drive 20 min from the other side of town.

Sliced Gyro
Alessandra D.

I ordered through Uber eats for pickup because I needed something quick. It took 10-15 for them to prepare it. I got the sliced gyro platter, honestly so good! A ton of gyro and fries. It also came with a small salad (wish it had a bit more salad), tzatziki, and a pita. Everything came to $15 Definitely would eat here again.

Pretty good gyro meat and fries. The pita bread was thin but not bad. Kids chicken tenders were as expected.

We ordered mushroom kapnista, Halloumi pide, zaatar pide, htipiti and everything was so delicious. I'm not sure if I enjoyed the combination of dates and mushrooms together but really loved the smoky mushroom by itself. I was also very impressed with the Zaatar pide, it was cheesy and delicious. For desert we ordered greek yogurt with apricot and it was probably the best thing we tried here. The ambience is classy and they have ample of seating space. The overall meal didn't cost us as much as I thought it was, the prices were fairly reasonable!

Lots of flavor with the different sauces and spreads. The meat kebabs were good too. I loved the pickled onions and the tomatoes and couscous that came with it. All in all it's a really yummy flavorful healthy tasting dish. Loved the fried cauliflower and the yummy green sauce it was on. Beet salad was good too. We didn't love the baba ghanoush or the bread they bring to the table. It's pretty bland and lacking in flavor. Would've preferred some naan. But everything else we enjoyed. Chocolate cake was yummy too. I'd recommend giving this place a try. For us it was a 3.8.

We ended with the labneh pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. It was ok. Not my favorite but pumpkin seeds on top were tasty and crunchy!

I also ordered a side salad and it was beautiful and the ranch dressing was so yummy! You might think it's a Greek restaurant but it's actually an international or Mediterranean restaurant. There really isn't anything like this in Superior. And if you go to a place like this in Duluth, you're going to pay twice as much! And the taxes are a lot higher than our 5.5% and don't have extra tipping going on the receipts. Also, you wouldn't get free parking!

The menu is designated as New American, but also includes a fair number of Greek style items. I found it limiting and would have preferred more on the produce side. I ended up with a pappardelle with mushrooms. I found the mushrooms quite ample, but something in the cheese sauce, whether salt or otherwise, left me feeling a bit spazzy and charged up afterward. I find this a common problem, but they impose limitations on splitting checks due to fees on their end, which is less than ideal (but perhaps not this restaurant's fault). As a meeting location, it worked, but even if I construe comparators fairly narrowly, I've had better Mediterranean fusion cuisine at upscale downtown restaurants, and I would have liked to see a menu with more vegetarian protein.

I consistently find the food to be great, and the atmosphere is charming, while the service can be hit or miss. It's easy to miss walking down the street, and then you enter through essentially a hallway that doubles as a long slim bar. Through that hallway you'll exit into a courtyard that feels warm - literally and figuratively - year round. There is an indoor converted carriage house to dine as well. It's a surprising setting given the more corporate feeling surroundings. A Mediterranean inspired menu rotates seasonally and they have a great wine and cocktail list. When I held a private event here they were easy to work with and very accommodating to make the evening special. When I've dined with a group or by myself I have sometimes found service to be slow and it hard to get waiters attention.

I think I'd prefer to sit outdoors although maybe when it's less hot and humid, as it was a bit loud indoors. The sesame feta with watermelon was delicious and maybe our favorite dish overall. The tomato panzanella was okay but the tomato could have been more ripe. I'd heard about the focaccia but something was off when we went--something was very clearly missing, maybe salt, and it just tasted like a pretty dense vehicle for oil. They change the focaccia seasonally and may have just been having a bad day so I'd try it again but it was not great. The gnocchi was very good and very filling. The chicken was good, and the dill lemon sauce was nice. The desserts were all good--the phyllo cheesecake with peaches, a chocolate pudding, and a cheese plate with blue cheese and a Pennsylvania pecorino. Two of us tried the Hermes drink first and unfortunately it was very underwhelming. It tasted like slightly alcoholic water, but didn't have much flavor. The blueberry lemon cocktail was much more interesting.
