This restaurant has been in our neighborhood forever but for some reason we've never tried it until now. Had a pizza craving one evening and suddenly remembered someone on the Cleveland Park listserv recommending this place awhile ago. So ordered online - they come in 12 and 14 inches and all toppings are additional charge, which makes it easy to mix and match your own choice of toppings. We had a 14 inch with pepperoni, sausage and mushroom, at $18.45 before tax and tip not cheap but quite good, medium thick crust, soft and supple, holds the toppings well - the kind that doesn't get discarded - you'd want to eat it all. Only thing to note is it takes just a bit longer than the time estimate given online when you place the order - it says 15 minutes but will actually take 25-30 mins before ready for pick up. read more

I ordered through Uber eats for pickup because I needed something quick. It took 10-15 for them to prepare it. I got the sliced gyro platter, honestly so good! A ton of gyro and fries. In the 80s-90s there was an amazing little restaurant in Alexandria, VA called Andreas'. This Gyro has the exact same flavor. Every time I eat one takes me back. Don't let the outside of this place fool you, this is restaurant quality food I would literally have cater my wedding. The hummus is fresh, baklava delicious, and dolmas mouthwatering. Sally, I have to give this business the big 1-star review. I ordered a lamb kebab with rice and some vegetarian mezze via UberEats. The delivery came quickly and tasted about average. However, a few hours later I developed food poisoning. The whole night... 10 hours vomiting and diarrhea, primarily at the same time plus 3 full days of recovery. Textbook food poisoning case that has forever changed me. I cannot eat here again and could never recommend to anyone whether this was an isolated incident or not. The meat pie is a deliciously perfect balance of pastry and flavorful beef. The lamb kabob has a hummus filling, which when combined with the tender lamb, was incredibly tasty and satisfying. Bought food for a family that just had a baby. Spent $70 on 2 pita sandwiches and 2 vegetarian plates. Was given 1 bag. I was embarrassed at the small servings. No pita. Food was dry, sauces were added with teaspoons, one piece of lettuce in wraps. I literally could have walked into any other restaurant on the block and gotten a better meal for that much money. The only reason this place doesn't get one star is because the baklava was actually pretty decent. I ordered a falafel, which came out to be around eight dollars (pretty steep for a falafel). When I opened it, I expected to see what I normally see with falafel: Salad, tahini, crunchy fried falafel substance. What I saw was cole slaw and two crusty pieces of who knows what. The bottom line: Fine falafel, tasty hummus, small cafeteria with reasonable prices. I've been to Fresh Med a few times and particularly enjoy the falafel platter and hummus. The falafel are crisp on the outside and stay fluffy and green within. I've had the chicken shawarma too and remember it being tasty (but a bit small for the price). The hummus, alone or with a platter, comes with a pleasant puddle of olive oil and is great spread on the warmed (but average) pita. Though my wife fancies the spinach pies...I can't say I'm a great fan (too much dough) but they certainly aren't bad. Overall, I'm glad to have this mid-East option in my neighborhood and will certainly go back (though I haven't for some time). read more

Generally I like the great food, reasonable prices, and good customer service. Specifically, I love that they have a fried cauliflower w/ tahini wrap. Vegetarian options are often the same bland combination at every place. There are thousands of plants you can put in a sandwich/wrap yet it's always the same cheap ingredients. So I was thrilled to see fried cauliflower with a good sauce and other veggies thrown in. They fry it right after you order, so I know it takes more effort than most places would care to expend, but I appreciate the effort- and it's only $5.95! I will definitely be back. read more
