July 12/2023: Lunch with the Al. This was a very solid meal. The Quinoa Onion Rings ($11.50) were delicious. The Buffalo/BBQ Cauliflower Bites ($15.50) were absolutely fabulous. My main was the Ultimate Cheeseburger ($15.00) was goodish but not great. The fries that came with were superb. Our servers (Jasleen & her colleague) were excellent. Food was fast & so was their service. They offered us free smoothies (Tropical Thai & The Glow) if we posted a review, which we did. The restaurant itself was clean & looked well cared for. Nice & comfortably decorated as well. This is a do-over but I'd order a different entree. read more

I've been eyeing this location for over a year since it's only a few seconds drive from my house but have only had the chance to visit today. did not regret it! the reviews I've seen have generally been around "eh, not so great" which generally revolve around service (which I sort of understand, will expand in a bit) but I'm really delighted to say that I didn't have a horrible experience today. there wasn't anyone inside when we first came and it took a few minutes for us to be seated. this wasn't ideal since we had a reservation booked. I wasn't upset about it though because the server was pretty kind and attentive. they offered a seat with outlets after seeing me with a laptop in my hands and told us to sit wherever we liked. the service was great too. they didn't rush our order, didn't kick us out because we were taking a while to eat/took our time to study, and periodically checked on us if we needed anything else to order. the food was also delicious. we had the happy hour buffalo cauliflower wings ($8) and tacos ($8) as well as the beach bowl ($15.5) and a few juices ($8). the tacos' size was generous, tasted great as well (my meat-loving and texan partner approved). my bowl was also almost finished before I remembered to take a photo lol. I liked my immune boost juice better than my healer one but they were both great. the glass packaging was a plus. the happy hour menu is really affordable. I see a lot of people saying that this place is expensive so if you check out their happy hour pricing, you'd be delighted to consider this place again. read more

A few friends really wanted to check this place out for its plant-based foods. Now I will say that my experiences with plant-based foods have been very hit-or-miss, so I was a little hesitant to order. But hey, the place had decent reviews, so why not. We ordered takeout, although when were picking up the food, I did see that interior looked fairly spacious ad was really brightly lit. I ordered the chipotle grain burger since I haven't had tempeh bacon or a grain patty before, with fries on the side. It was definitely an interesting experience. Although the "meats" were shaped to look like meat, they definitely didn't have a meat taste to it. But they weren't bad either, they had lots of flavour to it! Out of the majority of plant-based places I've been to where I've tried their "meat" dishes, I'd say this one would be good to check out. I would suggest to order some other type of side though, the fries were quite bland. read more

On the first day of phase 3, we had booked a patio table which was beautifully set up in the parking lot with full artificial turf and a cute garden feel. We had worn our masks waiting to be taken to our table. Once sat down, we were directed to the QR on the table for the menu. There were 4 of us. We each ordered a drink and shared some appetizers. I ordered the Swoosh - chocolate shake with almond milk, peanut butter, and maple syrup. It was super delicious. The appetizers were also very good. My favourite was probably the quinoa onion rings. For the main, I had the powerhouse bowl. A little disappointed in the portion but still very delicious. It was mainly brown rice at the bottom with some greens on top with 2 pieces of tofu steak. For dessert, we shared chocolate cake and a chocolate brownie. I generally like fresh restaurants but do find them a little pricey. The other reason for the 3 stars was service was kind of inconsistent. Some of them were very nice and some of them were not. We were also told that we had to wear our masks unless eating or drinking but we found it odd that we were the only ones told that when the rest of the guests also didn't have them on. If they enforced it across I would have felt a bit better, but it almost felt like we were picked on. read more

Rain was predicted and I wanted a fully tented patio which they do have! Fantastic! It was well decorated with faux grass on the floor, rattan ceiling lamps and hanging greenery. Depending on where you sit, they have large wooden planters to add to the ambiance. It was really nicely done and I felt I was in another place/city. The traffic noise was eliminated by their speakers blaring with hip music. Love it! My friend got the margarita pizza and she said it was delicious. She's not vegan, but appreciated the food. I got the fresh bowl named beach and it didn't disappoint. The brown rice, sweet potatoes and some veggies were still warm which was nice. The sun-dried tomatoes were my favourite! Chewy fresh red and not salty at all. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Yes I would order it again!! The downside is that meals can be pricey. I find it a bit pricey for a vegan restaurant but for good quality food and yumminess, I'm willing to spend the money. Oh, and the patio is amazing! Service was good too!! read more

Really can't go wrong with Fresh! This was my first time visiting the Hurontario/Mississauga location. It has the same vibe inside but for me it lacked the ambience and charm of the downtown locations. This is probably just because it's in Mississauga in a typical suburban plaza! Was sad to find out the brunch menu was only available at the Sherway location, will have to visit there next. The table ordered the nachos and dragon broccoli to share, I ordered a power bowl on rice (my usual). My friends got bowls and a wrap as well. Our server was so kind, we were the first people inside when it opened and it slowly got more busy. It's a popular vegan chain so I'm not surprised. I swear by Fresh so I'll be back soon, maybe not to this location but definitely another one. read more

We ordered takeout from here a few weekends ago and were really happy with our experience. The Ordering Process: We ordered our meal over the phone and the employees who helped us was very friendly and patient. She helped us place our order and it was a very smooth transaction. The Restaurant: The restaurant was immaculate inside. The restaurant was spotless and the employees have done a great job at organizing a safe way for customers to enter, pay and pick up their food. The Food: The food was fantastic! The only thing that was done incorrectly was I didn't receive their special hot sauce that you have to order off insider knowledge. I asked for the special hot sauce and they gave me the wrong one. Aside from that, the food was fantastic like all the good I get at their other locations. Would I go back? Absolutely! read more

I was SO happy to see that Fresh opened a location in Mississauga. Finally, it doesn't have to be a "big day out in the city" to enjoy some of my favourite vegan eats. I was lucky to attend the opening of this restaurant, it was an organized event, and of course it was walk-in only. We did have to wait a bit for the food but that was expected and we were just happy to be there. We ordered some classics - buffalo cauliflower, poutine, and quinoa onion rings. All all items were well packed for takeout and delicious. Everything on the menu, so I can't wait to get back there soon and try new items. We were able to grab some of their in-house sauces. I personally love the chili oil...it seems so simple but it really adds to a variety of different dishes you make. It was a busy spot when we were there, but the staff was so calm and under control, no matter how crazy it got. Hi Yelpers, I was in the mood for vegan food. And book, this was in my eye sight! "Fresh." Seems promising. So, I decided to check it out. Fresh is another chain fast food catered to vegans. The parking is plenty and the ambience inside is warm. Due to COVID, you ordered your food in person and then you would wait outside j. Your car a d watch the screen on the window to see if your order is ready. They also offere good order and it delivery from SkipTheDishes. I happily ordered the Onion Quinoa rings. It was fair in amount but a bit pricey which is a pattern to all other meals. I find it a bit too pricey. However, the onion rings tasted great and the onion rings were thicker in width. I also tried, the squash taco. Please refer to the menu images I provided as to what the tacos consisted of. One taco was slightly burnt. The squash sticks were fairly breaded. The overall taste of taco was alright. Wasn't refreshing at all nor was it that good. I also tried the Buffalo cauliflower wings. It was fairly tasted good. It was just alright. Too much pepper for me. In the end I would like to try their bowls and pizza. But the other items, not again except the quinoa onion rings. Also, a bit pricey. read more

Ordered from here today (was craving something "healthy" and vegan for Veganuary) - and was so famished that I didn't even take a picture of my food! Shame on me. :( I got the following dishes from Fresh on Hurontario, taking advantage of the Happy Hour special (almost half price!): Buffalo cauliflower I fell in love with this dish when I first ordered it downtown (Fresh on Front) so was so excited to order it again! The vegan ranch is delightful, I don't know how they do it. The cauliflower is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, mmmmm. The portion size also wasn't bad; there were roughly 12 pieces, each a two-biter. Squash tacos Honestly, these tacos were a little subpar... I had hoped for something a bit more meaty, and a similar mouthfeel may have been achieved by slicing the squash horizontally. Instead, the squash was cut into small squares, which didn't help with the eating process either (the fried bits kept rolling down!). The stuffing was also tiny compared to the tortilla size itself. Carrot cake from Sweets of the Earth I was so amazed to find a vegan carrot cake with cream cheese icing, but was ultimately disappointed. The carrot cake was good - moist and not too sweet - but the cream cheese icing was a letdown. It was so dry and left a weird tangy taste in my mouth. Definitely incomparable to the classic cream cheese icing, which is so much better. What a shame! Next time, I shall order the chocolate cake instead... doubt you can go wrong even when vegan. Overall, Fresh was a fun and interesting option, but it wasn't as good as I remember (and a little on the pricier side!). read more

Service? Horrid. We had an open table reservation. We were shown a seat quickly. Service disengaged after this. We waited 10 minutes to see someone when there were only 2 other people in the restaurant, and 4 staff members. One woman stood behind the glass staring into oblivion for minutes. The phone rang and seemed to jar her back to life. Our server appeared 13 minutes after we were seated. My carbonated water was flat and warm. I unfortunately had to send it back. The superfood soup, which was an appetizer got served half way through the meal which is a shame because it was very good. The Buffalo chicken wrap was good. Not great. The people sitting in front of us asked for some ki d of sauce on the side that was served to them when they were nearly done. We ate here last summer and everything was excellent. Something has changed here, perhaps management. We will not be back. read more

So happy when Fresh opened its location in Mississauga. They touted free delivery but when I tried to order it would not deliver to my address. I ordered anyway via their app and went to pick it up. There was no way to get the veg association discount via the app. Maybe if you order take out in person they will give the discount?? The food was tasty and satisfying...as it usually is at Fresh. The cornbread was dry and the dragon fries weren't wonderful by the time I got it home. I can't wait to eat in store when Covid restrictions are lifted. My son loved his cheeseburger and fries combo. I've been going to other Fresh locations for ten years and this location was the only horrible experience I had. I've never walked out of a restaurant before receiving my food until yesterday. I made a reservation for 7. On my way I made a wrong turn so I was a few minutes late. Didn't think much of it as I approached the patio because it was only 70% full and no one was lined up. As I approached the hostess stand, I said hi and that I had a reso for 7. She immediately said, before anything else, "well just so you know after 10 mins we give away your table." I was taken aback and checked my watch right away. I said "ok it's now 7:10 on the dot, and you're not full, so I'm good right?" And she said "well know for next time", all in a rude and unwelcoming tone. That immediately rubbed me the wrong way. She then told me that despite them being a patio, they made their own rule that masks were mandatory unless you're actively eating or drinking. It was a rule restaurants had when indoor dining was briefly open last year but no one had for outdoor except them. I said no problem and sat down with my mask on. My friends arrived a couple mins later. I told them the rule and before they put their masks on, a waitress came over to remind us of that rule. They said ok and we all wore masks. To be honest we didn't like this rule on a patio when that was not the provincial law right now but we did not say anything. Then we got our water for the table and took our masks off to drink. We were all *literally* holding our glasses and drinking and the waitress came over (probably sent by the rude hostess) to remind us it's only off when ACTIVELY drinking or eating. I said, "huh? You gotta be kidding me. Now you want me to put it at my chin and lift it up and down BETWEEN SIPS?" Then we all knew they were out to get us because NOT ONE TABLE was wearing a mask because they all had food at their table. It's not like they were taking a bite or sip every second. We asked why they were only asking us and they said they would ask everyone. Hmmm. We decided the service was not only horrible but it would have also been totally ludicrous to wear a mask at our chin and remove it between bites ON A PATIO. That was apparently their own rule, which nowhere else had. I can say with confidence doing the mask over the chin and moving it up and down would NOT stop any additional spread, LOL! They informed us if we don't comply we will need to leave. Well at that point we all did what we had never done before - got up to leave! And then we ended up having an amazing dinner on another patio with great service! The kicker - when we left Fresh, they DID NOT ask any table to put a mask on as they claimed! We knew they were picking on us! Everyone was eating without a mask "between bites" (as they should). I hope marlie the hostess is happy she decided to be rude that night because they lost hundreds of dollars and any future service from us. read more

As a fan of trying new vegan and vegetarian places, I was quite excited to try Fresh as I've only seen it downtown. My friends and I ordered through their app for dinner on a Thursday night. The app was relatively easy to use and did not take long to submit the order. It took around 30 minutes before I got the notification that the food was ready. When we got there, the place was empty with no customers so I was surprise it took that long to finish the food. The items are quite pricey, but I understand that they use certain ingredients and there aren't a lot of other vegan places around. We ordered for 4 people and it came to about 20 bucks for each person. We were in a rush so I didn't get a chance to check the food before leaving the place. It was only when I got back home and found that they got my order wrong. I ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower salad, but they gave me just the Buffalo Cauliflower instead. I ended up paying 2 more dollars because of that mistake! I was quite upset but knowing that we've already driven all the way home, I decided to let it go. The food itself was pretty decent, I am a fan of Buffalo Cauliflower so u have tried it at a lot of places and would say this is mid tier. My friends also thought their food was okay. Overall, decent food with a high price tag. Also shout out to the recyclable packaging and cutleries they provide! read more

Been wanting to try more plant based restaurants so I was happy to hear Fresh is in town! We ordered the fresh bundle for 2. We got quinoa onion rings (yums), dragon fries, chipotle bacon burgers (a little dry), smores, and a peanut butter brownie! The burger was a little dry but other than that, everything else was good. I ordered here from skip, and it was not good. They gave me my salad with no dressing; the fries and onion rings were so greasy with what looked like old oil. I got the buffalo chicken wrap, and it was disgusting- it tasted old, and it was cold. The ingredients all taste far from fresh and should really label the desserts on the Uber app as Pre-packaged ones from a different brand, so people don't think the restaurant freshly makes it. read more

Loved it! I myself am vegetarian and loved this option. The food was delicious and the desert was pretty good. I was accompanied by two meat eaters who where also pleasantly surprised and would like to go back again. The crispy dumplings are amazing.
