The burrito joint seems to be doing fine in its place. Yesterday, I was in Mississauga. I had an early dinner at Edo Japan at Heartland Centre. On the left of Edo was Starbucks. On the right was this Copper Branch eatery. It was cool seeing a trifecta row of businesses that I dig. I walked into this Copper Branch location to check it out. It was quiet. I took a few photos and then looked at the menu. A friendly woman briefly came out of the kitchen and let me know that she'd be with me in five minutes. I was good and told her to take her time. I needed to look at the menu. She took less than five minutes to be with me at the counter. She was nice, asking how I was doing. I answered and reciprocated. I asked her what the soup of the day was. It was miso soup. I had just had ramen and wanted something different, so I passed. Me? Passing on soup? Crazy! I got these items instead: - S'mores cookie - Strawberry pina colada I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I have Copper Branch rewards. You pay first and then have the barcode scanned. Done! I got my s'mores cookie first. Sweets from the Earth makes it. I love this brand. She said that I could take a seat and she'd let me know when my smoothie would be ready. Cool! It didn't take long for her to make my smoothie. She let me know that it was ready. I thanked her and wished her a great day. She reciprocated. I got a paper straw and happily left the store. I got into my car and made my way home. I had the cookie and smoothie as I drove. The s'mores cookie was moist and delicious. There were plenty of chocolate chips. I loved the dabs of marshmallows in every bite. So good! I enjoyed my strawberry pina colada. It had strawberry, pineapple, banana, pineapple juice, and coconut milk. It could have been colder temperature-wise. It was yummy and I finished it while still in Mississauga heading eastbound. I like Copper Branch because everything is vegan. It's cool. Was meeting a close friend and this location was ideal for all of us. It was past lunch time so it was not busy. Going to an all Vegan restaurant has so many advantages and one the biggest? - we don't have to ask if it contains eggs, dairy and any meat or animal products. We ordered a PSL - not a big fan of PSL, but decided to give it a try. Nothing wrong with the drink per se, but the pumpkin spice and coffee for me, don't go well together. The Nachos were a different thing all together. A little more Cheeze would have gone a long way. The chips crispy and topped nicely as well. The entire quantity was good and tasted good. I love coming to copper branch because the menu is 100%a vegan. You wouldn't think it as vegan when looking at the menu since they have more than just Buddah bowls. They have burgers, wraps and even have flat breads which I am excited to try in the future. We came here on a Friday for lunch and it was very quiet. There were lots of people coming in for take out and lots of delivery service pick ups, but the actual restaurant maybe only had 8 other people inside possibly due to coronavirus. The service: Pretty efficient. You order at the cash and they take your name with your order. They actually deliver your food to your table which is different from other quick service restaurants The food: The portabello mushroom burger: this burger is super meaty and I love that there's a cheese like cream sauce that gushes with every bite. It actually almost tastes like a big Mac because of the lettuce, but I haven't have a big mac in years so I could be wrong. The burger itself would have satisfied me 85% because of the size so I did order it as a combo with the fries, which is well worth the value. The burger by itself is $9.99 but as a combo it's only $10.99 and the fries come in a large bowl that is shareable for the entire table. Mediterranean bowl: all of their bowls are delicious and I love that it's customizable. What makes this Mediterranean is the green sauce which went well with the fries General tao bowl: Made with their general tao mushroom meat, it's super meaty and actually very satisfying because of the size. So I tried this place 3 times in 4 days because it's on my way to the gym. What I've had so far: -Mushroom galaxy burger -Smoked tempeh sandwich -Organic quinoa chili -Chico salad -Wings -Waffles All the food is absolutely delicious. It is nice to have a 100% vegan place in Mississauga and isn't fully comprised of junk food. In terms of costs, I would say it's a bit on the pricier side. Sandwiches and burgers are $9.75 each before taxes and doesn't include any sides. Waffles are around $8 to $9 as were the "wings" (and you only get three of them). While I didn't have a bowl, it looked like the price was around $13 to $14. Chico salad was like $5 or something. The staff is very friendly, service is good and they have a loyalty card. Would I go back? Yes. Is this somewhere I would go every week? Probably not, mostly because of price. Maybe once every two to three weeks. read more

Right down the middle for me! This place sorta reminded me of Boon Burger in Burlington but with bowl, wrap, & other options. Sandwiches/Burgers were the standard $10. Other options such as Drinks/Desserts/Power Bowls I thought were priced high, but maybe $15 is the going rate for bowls of veg now? They really should introduce "made in-house" infused water or other cheaper drink options that I've seen at other veg/vegan spots! They do have free tap water though...lol. Now reading the menu properly, they actually omitted some elements in my Aristotle bowl such as black olives, broccoli, lettuce, & I didn't see any hemp seeds. :( So take a proper look if you're ordering such a dish! The main reason why I have no real impression of this place is because the customer service was severely lacking. Me and this other woman stood right in front of the ordering counter for a good few mins while 1 Asian guy, who was assembling something, just lifted his head with no acknowledgment. (I hope he wasn't the owner!) The 2 other guys there seemed clueless as to how to handle customers. I could barely understand/hear what the cashier was saying, he was muttering. There didn't seem to be any solid training or vetting in hiring people who have had experience in customer service or just better attitudes. This place gets 3 stars from me based on my visit here with girlfriends a few weeks ago. Upon coming in, I noticed that it had a cute cafe vibe with a good amount of natural light coming in, a few tables for groups, big menu above the counter and overall, just a homey feel to it. Ordering is easy, quick and staff are helpful with finding out ingredients in each dish if they aren't sure. I have to point out that I was really impressed with their selection of food from burgers, sandwiches, soups, all day breakfast dishes,smoothies etc. and each option sounded delicious based on their descriptions. They also have a loyalty card if you plan to keep visiting but come when you have time to spare as food takes some time to come out. It wasn't that busy when we came (about 3 other diners) and it took at least half hour for each of our dishes to come out. I got the gluten free blueberry waffles with maple cream sauce and chia seeds. The maple cream tasted good but the waffles themselves were just okay. Overall, it was a decent dish for about $10 and obviously felt like a healthier alternative to other brunch or lunch places but not sure that I would get it again. Other friends seemed to enjoy their burger, wraps, poutine and smoothies here. Have been waiting years for this to open in sauga!!!! Wooop I think the staff saw my excitement when i came in...loyalty card Check! Arranged a friends holiday brunch here to try them out. They are right besides the new opening Star bucks in the Best Buy plaza. Had their Einstein shake while deciding on food and it was delicious with berries, soy milk and chia seed plus more. Finally ordered the mushroom galaxy burger, the sesame bun was delicious and held its own. The vegan cheese with portabello mushroom and caramelized onions was a great combination. Friends ordered the breakfast tofu wrap and the poutine both were enjoyable. They did say they wished the poutine had more gravy/cheese on the large. Half the bowl of fries were naked. My other friend tried the chilli and it was tasty. The carrot bites were just ok. I would go again to try all their delicious offers. A vegan place pretty close to my office, so come to try their dishes. I really enjoy trying different vegan restaurants even I am not a vegan. But this time, high hope ended with disappointment. From what their posters are showing, they certainly try to be more creative. Originally, I ordered coconut masala curry bowl, but they run out of some ingredients. That's ok, so I ordered their general copper bowl. It was very very salty. Also the texture of the boiled broccoli, avocado cubes, pickled carrots and purple cabbage and overly salted tofu just do not go together well. Usually power bowls are hard to make them really wrong, but the cook today managed to make a very bad taste power bowl. To be fair, I will come back to try other dishes. Hope this is just one off. This Copper Branch location is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking available, anchored by Best Buy. Close proximity to the 401 provides easy access by car. Decor is pleasant, with a mix of contemporary and rustic touches throughout. Seating is available in several tables for 2 and 4, and one table that can accommodate up to 7. Orders should be put at the counter at the back right. Food is brought to the table once it is ready. The menu is quite extensive, offering a range from bowls, burgers, sandwiches, all-day breakfast items, smoothies, desserts and more. I started the meal with the General Copper Bowl, which is comprised of tofu General Tao, broccoli, avocado, brown rice, sesame seeds, sriracha coleslaw (red cabbage, carrot, sriracha dressing), and Copper Branch General Copper sauce. The bowl is a good size, filling, and the combination of flavors and textures is very nice. I personally did not enjoy the texture of the Cocoa Banana Chia Pudding (cocoa powder, chia seeds, banana, maple syrup, coconut beverage, shredded coconut) and found this dessert a bit disappointing. I was really hoping to love Copper Branch as supporting vegan businesses are a priority for me, especially in communities with limited access. I even hyped up the opening to a few colleagues and I had one carnivore friend visit a few times ahead of me and I know she enjoyed her experience. However, my first experience was so disappointing. To start, the look and feel of the restaurant is very nice and had a good amount of space. Casual but still the type of place that you could have a meeting. Definitely a step up from places like Freshii. I think given the price it would be smart to have a seat and enjoy the experience. However, I planned to get take out to take back to the office and left plenty of time to grab and go but the service was VERY slow. So slow that the cashier was doubling as prep and they lost a few customers. My order was the "Smoked Maple Tempeh Sandwich." Despite only a customer or two ahead my order still took 30mins plus to make...and I saw that the poor cashier was making it, even though there were two others on the line. The sandwich itself was okay but they used Daiya cheese (which is probably the worst kind of vegan cheese out there). I don't think they will win many fans using that particular brand. Will try again and update in a few weeks as curiosity will get the best of me, but another experience like this will stop me from becoming a regular. read more

I found Cpper Branch while looking for nearby vegan restaurants. It's a nice spot that knows how to make a real hearty bowl. My go to is their flagship 'General Copper'. From the General Tao mushrooms to their sriracha coleslaw, 10 out of 10 you'll have it again. Their Shiitake Teriyaki Burger was just ok & I really wanted their Aztec bowl to be better (it looks so good!). Their Buffalo wings are fire and what I WILL say is, that 'Gandhi' power smoothie? The food is delicious, the price isn't bad, the staff is friendly, but the wait time is ridiculous. I've been here a few times now and my only complaint is how long it takes for you to get your order. It really seems like they can't handle more than one order at a time. Even with just a few people in the restaurant, I'll be waiting for 15-20 minutes for my food. This is definitely not a quick grab and go spot. In terms of what to order: the bowls, the buffalo wings and the mushroom shiitake burger are my favourite. The poutine is good but too salty making it not great. Update: went on Saturday, waited in line to order for 30 mins and when I got to the front they said it's a minimum of 30 minutes to get the food. Instead of wasting customers' time, what they should've done is walk around the line letting customers know about the wait time. I really think they should look into turning into a sit down restaurant since they obviously aren't a quick eat. read more

Honestly the food is delicious - my friend and I got the Aristotle bowls. However their tofu scramble wasn't 'scramble' it was just sliced tofu lol But service was awful- terribly slow and my order was entirely forgotten, I had to remind them and then also go back to get my missed ingredients added on. I've been to this location 3 times now. My 3 main concern of this place is #1: lack of customer service, #2 missing ingredients and #3 long wait time as mentioned by many reviewers. #1. Most staff here I've dealt with during my past 3 visits were unfriendly, especially the older Asian woman (manager?) and a younger Asian girl. Wouldn't hurt to greet your customers with a smile :) #2. My bf got Aristotle bowl and they left out avocado spread which is a key ingredient. They're also cheaping out on sweet potatoes. They used to give you 4-5 big slices, and now it's 4-5 tiny cubed pieces. In my bowl, I got exactly 3 pieces of cubed sweet potatoes. Ridiculous. Also they cheaped out on dressing too. Only filled up half way. #3. We usually come here off-hours when it's not too busy(2-3 tables max), yet wait times has always been long. There were 4-5 staff all behind the kitchen so not sure why it takes so long to assemble ingredients in a bowl. If I were a vegan I would love this joint for the portions as well as the option. But customer service is another story. This was my first time in this establishment, I decided to try a Portobello mushroom burger. After requesting this the cashier asked if I was sure this is what I wanted and if I had been here before. I mentioned no I haven't. He then recommended something else despite me requesting the portobello burger. I ended up ordering a Bean Burger and a Sweet Potatoe poutine. The total was roughly 25$. I waited what I thought was a reasonable amount of time for fresh cooked food. I walked home with a bag that did not contain my requested items. I was given a box of potatoes and a burger that my family member described it as being plain and dry. I had to walk back for my REFUND for the poutine I was supposed to have. They apologized and was going to use the cold potatoes I had returned to make the poutine I had originally asked for. I told them to forget it and just provide me with a refund. For the price, staff should give people what they ask for and check the order to ensure it is correct. read more

They're still new and getting used to business so it is rather slow, but I love what Copper Branch is doing right now! I'm personally trying to go vegan, and this place makes it super easy. My sister was raving about how delicious the food here is so we ordered in. Was extremely disappointed with the serving size of the general copper bowl. A thin layer of rice with some mushrooms and veggies. Was still very hungry afterwards (and I'm an average eater). I called them up to complain about the portion and they claimed that they measure everything out and so nothing could have happened. They said that they add in a cup and a half of rice but there was barely even half a cup in there! Very disappointed. Not ordering in from here again. read more

This is a great option for celiacs as the staff are knowledgeable and trained. They use separate cookware, utensils, etc for GF orders. The majority of the menu is GF . We had the scrambled vegan southwestern scrambled eggs on a GF bun and had the Unity Falafel Wrap on a GF bun with the Copper cubes (potatoes) to take home. All were delicious. Have to say the GF buns are the best I've had. Menu is quite large with bowls, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, wings, salads, chilis, soups, sides, deserts, smoothies and all day breakfasts including waffles. Staff were great and we did not wait long for our order. Place has a nice vibe and is spacious inside. You can get a card and collect points with each order for a discount.
