Perfect fry, thick and flaky fish, served with a side of malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The slaw was crisp and savory and the fries crisp. He loved every bite. I had the Bangers and Mash. The sausage was tender with a delicious onion gravy. Some veggies were included (green beans, cauliflower and carrot). The mash itself was creamy and chunky, just the way I love it. Complete comfort food. We ended the meal by splitting a dish of Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was sweet and savoury, with a hint of salt to balance, topped with vanilla ice cream and more toffee sauce. (I haven't had a Sticky Toffee Pudding since I was a child and this was such a delicious treat to share.) The whole experience was exceptional and we cannot wait to go back.

Our waiter was very patient, friendly and explained the specials and menu items in detail. He made the dining a positive experience for sure! Potato bites were good. Whatever the shmear underneath was it could use some more of that! Bangers and mash were meh. Bland mash, overcooked bangers and not enough gravy. I was provided some extra gravy though. Fish and Chips were a big hit! Perfect cook and the batter was light, crisp and stuck to the fish well! Tartar was great. Slaw was on the boring side but unnecessary in the end. Everyone was friendly, a band was playing, the lights were dim, drinks were cold and the fish is good. If you live in the area I highly recommend checking it out!

The waitress encouraged me to get both and even substituted my pancakes. Everything tasted great and it took no time for me to receive my order. The Caramel Apple Crisp Pancakes were amazing, even though I should have asked for syrup, it was great without it. I also tried the Coastal Crab Cake Benny with grits and I was full right after. The ambience reminded me of home, everyone appeared to talk with everyone, it wasn't loud, the waiters and waitresses were speaking to customers like they knew them for years. They now serve breakfast in the mornings at The Crazy Pig and their usual BBQ in the afternoons and evenings, so it worked out perfectly for them! Don't be surprised if you don't see signage for The Egg, but If you're at The Crazy Pig, you've come to the right place. While Crazy Pig is a bit smaller inside than The Egg's original location, I think it's cozier--and nicer! They play great music in the mornings, too. My husband and I heard Sinatra on a recent visit. We usually get the same things every time. I like their Mixed Grill omelet, filled with chopped ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese. I do wish the cheese-to-egg ratio were higher, but you can always ask for extra cheese, like I usually do. My husband gets their house-made corned beef hash every time. It's so good, and you can tell it's not from a can! Their hash browns aren't super crispy, but have a lot of flavor. Ditto for their homefries. Several of our favorite servers from the original Egg moved to this location, too, and their service is excellent! Their coffee is good, too. And their prices can't be beat. Attentive, friendly, and faster than my metabolism trying to survive those portions. Now let's talk FOOD. The corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs? My goodness. The eggs were perfectly cooked -- that yolk broke open like it had something to prove. The corned beef? Crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there supervising the kitchen. The location was clean. I would definitely come back. Working on customer attentiveness is important, especially when the location is not crowded.

One waitress walked by our table, but didn't say a word another waitress saw the mess on the patio and came out and started cleaning, but also did not greet us. I detest complaining, but after losing at paper, rock, scissors, I was definitely the one who had to go in and address the issue. I finally went inside to ask if the waitstaff knew that we were seated outside. The blonde lady behind the register said she did not know who our wait person was and that she was trying to find out at that moment. We waited patiently for at least 10 to 15 more minutes and finally my boyfriend went in and asked the same question. Unfortunately, he was given the very same answer that I was roughly 15 minutes earlier. Finally, a waitress appeared and apologized and stated that nobody had told her that she had a table on the patio. Things were looking up, so I thought. She brought the drinks that we had ordered and placed our breakfast order. Then delivered the drinks, but we had nothing to mix sugar into the coffee. I returned inside the restaurant once again and requested a spoon to stir the sugar. There was a counter full of silverware that was sitting right next to the register, but the blonde lady said that she would have to have someone bring me a spoon. By the time we finally got the spoon the coffee had started to cool. Our breakfast arrived shortly after and the waitress looked at us and asked if we needed anything else. We mentioned that we did not have any silverware and she said that she would be right back. Again, we waited for what felt like an eternity and then went inside and retrieved silverware. My boyfriend was standing at the counter again, waiting on the lady with the blonde hair and in the meantime, the waitress finally did appear with utensils, but breakfast was already getting cold. The taste of the food was good. The portions were generous, but my last bite had a portion of the avocado seed that causing me to cough until almost gagging. I don't like to leave negative reviews! Something was definitely off today. It felt as though there was not a manager at this location and that at least 1 bus person called in sick. This might have been the first day for the lady with the blond hair working the counter at First Watch. I am so disappointed! There are numerous restaurants that we could've chosen to have breakfast at this morning. I dare say that I've had a much better experience at the local Waffle House.

Only one person sitting inside downstairs, likely because it was so beautiful outside. My espresso was a bit bland and not too hot. I asked for double (twice) but was charged for and received a single. Lemon berry scone was a bit undersized, but this was acknowledged by the cashier and he gave me a small discount without asking. Just a really nice atmosphere, inside and out. As always the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful to all 7 patrons I encountered.

The most disappointing part was that I'd assumed since it was a cafe that there would be fresh pastries or other items homemade on the tea platters. The scones seemed fresh, but a lot of the other appetizer items looked like the frozen hors d'oeuvres from Costco or something, which was super sad. Overall, I would have expected more for the price and the non-optional $20 gratuity.
