We ordered the kings Choice meal and the beans were lukewarm and the chicken pieces were Cornish hen size and not as hot as previously. While dining in you have to ask for everything napkins, ketchup etc. 5/10 today service

Opened in 1969 by Percy and Sallie Creuzot, this Frenchy's Chicken restaurant in Humble Texas is…read moreone of nine locations throughout the Houston metro area. I read about it as Beyonce's favorite chicken restaurant (original location), and someplace she tried to stop in for chicken and biscuits when visiting her hometown. Since I needed to be at the airport a little after lunch on a Monday, I asked my brother if we could stop at the nearest location, and he agreed. This location is co-situated with a gas station, in perhaps not the nicest part of town. It is set-up like a typical fast food chicken shop: you get in line to peruse the menu on top, get to the front of line and order. There weren't any specials or coupons that I could see online, so placed a simple 16 piece family order (16 pieces of mixed chicken, 3 large sides, and 8 biscuits) for $44.99. They gave us some water glasses, which we could refill at the self-serve soda machine in the front. It did take a while for the order to be ready, and was prepared to-go. It was simple enough to find a seat in one of the sit down booths and dig in. As soon as I saw the chicken, I knew it was going to be good. I focused on eating the drumsticks and thighs...moist meat, great breading, not spicy at all. It reminded me of how bad the chicken I had last at a famous place in LA. Even though this is a satellite location, far away from the original...they seem to be keeping the consistency right. I chose to get corn bread instead of biscuits, and it was good...small enough to be the right size. It would have been good with the honey butter. The sides were good, but the portions were really small, especially compared to their competitors. The cajun gravy was put on top of the good mashed potatoes. The dirty rice was OK. I thought the red beans was good, overcooked to make it mushy and had some nice sausage slices for meatiness. I just wish there was more of it....not balanced with how much chicken and bread was given. Just meant I had more chicken...ended up eating 3 of the drumsticks, 1 of the wings, and two of the thighs just by myself. As expected, it reminded me of Popeye's (chicken and sides) in a very good way.

First time trying this place, I'm not really the tender person because I'm afraid it will be too…read moredry and flavorless. But, I gave it a try today since my friend wanted to. I was surprised by the tenderness of the tenders, they were stringy but not too dry. However, I ordered the Nashville spicy but it was not spicy at all, like I don't taste the kick nor tang. The breading was very crunchy, not too thick, but did lack flavor. The sauce came with the tenders is very similar to Raising Cane's signature sauce. I had to dip every bite of my chicken for extra flavoring. The Mac fries are gooey and yum, fries themselves are coated with seasonings well, and the Mac and cheese was not overly milky. Service was amazing, when the server came to check on us I said "I could do spicier on tenders" she brought me some extra spicy sauce because she wants me to have the best first experience. Also it was my friend's birthday, she gave her a small cup of strawberry milkshake and made her the perfect beginning of her special day. It was spacious inside, decent walk in for take outs, not a lot of people dine in. I wish they have the huge standing chicken though, would be great for the vibe.

The menu is simple just tenders or sandwiches with some different sides. My husband and I opted for two orders of the 4 PC jumbo chicken tenders and large seasoned crinkly fries. Tye crinkly fries were a bit over fries for my liking. The tenders were definitely jumbo compared to Chick-fil-A & Cane's. I wasn't overly impressed but at least give them a try if you're a big fan of chicken tenders . It was just average chicken tenders with different types of heat you can choose for me.
