Brisket hotdog

Soooo good. This place definitely put me in a food coma. The brisket was bomb. Everything was so good. It's a lot of food but worth it. Very flavorful. Customer service can be a little more friendly but overall the food was great.

Fire Craft BBQ - Ribs - so delicious.

Flew into Houston from California and landed hungry! You cannot go to Texas and not have some good…read moreBBQ so loaded up Yelp as soon as I got off the plane and settled for Fire Craft BBQ.. The employees were helpful on answering my questions and I ended up ordering a brisket sandwich with mustard potato salad. In the dining area there was BBQ sauce which had a great flavor. The meal came out quickly and was what PERFECT smoked brisket should taste like. I was in Heaven! Often when you ask for lean you get a dry meat and this was not only very lean but also not dry whatsoever. It was nice and tender. The smoke flavor was perfect as well. I ate some plain and some with the BBQ sauce on it and honestly it was great both ways. Service was also great. An employee came by regularly to make sure we did not need anything and then a man who I'm pretty sure is the owner came by as well to make sure we were happy with our meal... which we were. I will be back in Houston in February and I know exactly where I will be eating when I get off that plane! Thanks for an amazing dinner.

Great location off of Kingwood drive, and fairly close to Hwy 59. We are pretty much BBQ snobs and this place definitely passed the test for us! Delicious Brisket! We will be regular customers. I used to live in the area and always seen a full parking lot…read more Decided to give it a try and it was pretty empty for a full lot.To get in it's a maze so that was odd. Pretty quiet maybe it was time of day. When we walked in whoever the guy was behind the counter was in his own world. The came up and again went back to his world til the 3rd time I said I'd like to order .. The food wasn't as good as people make it to seem. The sliced brisket had no flavor. The jalapeño sausage same no flavor other than the jalapeño in it. The potato salad had a weird flavor like the store bought type you get from deli. The coleslaw wasn't bad. The sauces- one was avg bbq and the hot was just too vinegary. We decided to get some peach cobbler. I've never had it before and it just seemed like mush. Plus I found a hair in it. Not a place I'd return to.

The atmosphere and ambiance gives you that Texas feel and I love how they had all the meats available everywhere was always sold out. I called to set up table for 20 of us and Sam I believe the manager was amazing! They were so helpful and we were treated with such great service. The food was so good all the meat tasted delicious and juicy! All their sides were tasty too! They have bingo on certain days that looked really fun! We will be coming back for sure!

CorkScrew BBQ - Pulled pork, brisket, a rib with mac& cheese

CORKSCREW BBQ is Houston's Michelin star restaurant! It is about 30 minutes drive north of Houston,…read morewhich isn't super bad. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday 11AM-4PM. We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

Since they were awarded their Michelin star, I've been wanting to try CorkScrew... in particular,…read moretheir beef rib. Beef ribs are my go to bbq protein, and not many places have them. I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well. The beef rib: STELLAR. This was outstanding with its flavorful bark and an impossibly tender texture that truly melts in your mouth, unlike any other beef rib I've ever had. Easily the very best beef rib, without a doubt. The brisket was delicious, as well: tender and flavorful. The sausage was nothing special... on par with sausage elsewhere, as was the pork. As for the sides, I've never been a fan of beans, but since the Michelin review specifically mentioned them, I gave them a try. I'm a fan! I would definitely order these again. Their smokiness is gently tamed by a touch of sweetness. The rest? Very average. The mac and cheese tasted like the stuff I had in my elementary school cafeteria - very un-special. The potato salad was salty and was missing any semblance of potato chunks. The texture was oddly like lumpy mashed potatoes. But the other surprise for me: the cobbler. This was simply and divinely perfect with crisp, sweet buttery crumble. A wonderful way to end a hearty meal. I'm so glad I ordered our food online for pickup. When I arrived at 1pm, the line was wrapped around the building. Pickup was very easy: I texted them when I arrived, and they replied when they were ready for me to go in and retrieve it. But even if there wasn't a line, I would never eat there: the restaurant is too divey for me: very rustic, picnic-like feel both inside and out, and it was uncomfortably warm and humid (again, inside and out.) The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Glad i tried it, and when i get a hankering for a good beef rib, this is definitely where I'll be getting it!

I was visiting my inlaws and really wanted to have a BBQ baked potato. True Texas BBQ hit the spot!…read more We were there after Christmas and it wasn't busy at all on a Friday at 5PM. You order on a touchscreen, so it was easy to make sure we customized our orders. It didn't take too long to get the food either. Note: make sure to get the sauce from the condiment area. The baked potatoes themselves weren't as big as I've had, but still very filling. I opted for chopped brisket with everything on it. I do think there could have been more cheese. My mother-in-law opted for a plain potato with just cheese and butter and she also commented on how hers didn't have much cheese on it. We also got the cornbread and when we first tried it, it was a bit hard. We nuked it in the microwave and that made it much better to eat. Pricing was reasonable, though I'm used to paying a lot more for food in California, so that may not be the norm in Texas.

I backed of for awhile to return for a potato and it's like the kitchen accounting nazi's started working there. They moved to plastic boxes vs the paper they originally had plus the potato was small and they gave me about a tablespoon of beef where it used to be overflowing. Someone is trying to squeeze pennies out of it all and it's disappointing. The food was still tasty but they are clearly trying to gain efficiency/save money.
