Let's talk about it. First time visiting Jack in the Box, fresh off the plane in Houston and ready to see what the hype's about. Spoiler alert: there isn't much. We ordered the Bacon Double Smashed Jack Burger, and let me tell you -- it looked like the love child of a Burger King Whopper and a Wendy's Double Stack... just without the flavor. It was all meat, no magic. Thick patties, lots of bite, but zero seasoning. It was really hitting on nothing. Now let's talk about the curly fries -- they were extra crispy in the way that says "we forgot about these in the fryer." They tasted like they wanted to be Arby's fries, but got left behind in the group chat. Dry, overcooked, and aggressively forgettable. And then -- the tacos. Oh man. Easily the worst thing I've eaten in the past year. Greasy, soggy, and barely holding together, like someone dared to deep fry a disappointment. Taco Bell's basic crunchy taco would sweep these in a street fight. The vibe inside? Funny enough, it looked like an old school Taco Bell that never got the renovation memo. Dim lights, weird energy, and not a lot of love. Final rating: 4 out of 10. Would I come back? Probably not -- unless I lose a bet or all the other fast food joints are closed. We ordered regular hamburgers w/o onions but with cheese on one and no cheese on the other. We expected lettuce, tomato and pickles along with mustard. What we got was two junior burgers no cheese and nothing one one burger and the other had mustard and one pickle. Both basically had no taste and really was not worth it plus had to wait much longer than necessary. This is not a good location! read more

Always wanted to try a jack in the box because a friend told me you can get a chicken sandwich and an egg roll. This unique combination was what I was wanting to try because no where else does this...I can understand why now. I ordered the chicken sandwich and there were some pieces that were extremely hard to chew and very chewy. I was kind of disgusted with it honestly and it was smothered with Mayo which did not help either. I ordered the food in the drive through and they had me pull up in front to wait for my food. While I waited, the person came out a couple of times and asked if I had ordered the food he was carrying, which was for someone else. I can sense someone's food might get taken if they had I'll intentions. The area seemed kind of sketchy to say the least, I did not venture inside but I'm glad I stayed in my car. I would love to give my traditional 3 star review for a fast food establishment, but for this location, I cannot. The consistently slow service provided here, as well as the freestyle Coca-Cola machine consistently not having the proper syrups, makes this place a 2 star visit at best. Let me give you an example of an experience here. I ordered a large coffee and was about to fill up my cup and the worker took the coffee container from my grasp. Only because I did not instantly react, and waited to see why she opted to pull the chair from underneath me did I get I get a moment of clarity. She wanted to ensure that the container was not devoid of coffee, which it was! I understand she wanted to ensure something was in there, but speak up before performing a jack move. The service is really slow, and it takes 10 minutes for the combo special is given to me. I problem arises though...it is 10 minutes later and I will have to officially ask for the coffee container back so I can get the coffee I ordered. She literally grabbed the container, turned on the coffee machine to start the brewing and dispensing process, and then left to work various areas of the place. I had to actually stop her from what she was doing in order to get her to put the container back in the area for customers to utilize it. I would not be me if I did not mention that many menu items are a tad bit higher because of the close proximity to the airport. If you want the same old, same old from Jack in the Box, then come here. If you do not mind waiting a little longer than normal, then come here. If you don't mind possibly getting charged a little more for the same items because you are close by George Bush Intercontinental Airport, then come here. read more

Prolly the worst JITB, ever. Missed on the sizes of drinks, wrong burger, which I decided to eat anyway, since I already spent 10 minutes trying to get the right drink... then about 5 bites into it, I hear them calling over and over for whoever had my Sour Dough Jack, no ketchup. But they refused to exchange it, due to the fact that I had already started to eat it (I guess because they would not be able to sell it to someone else.). Then, when I went into the restroom I found this fancy towel holder, doubling as a trash can. I just got back from a week in El Salvador, wrong choice for first meal back in the US. This is the worst branch. I ordered my food at 9:05, it is now 9:19 I still haven't gotten my food yet. Two more cars in front of me, there was only three cars in front of me. It literally took them 14 minutes to take care of one vehicle. Cars are starting to line up behind me, provably have 10 cars behind me now. They're taking advantage of the idea that it's late and they're the only ones open. The person answering the drive thru orders is very rude and you can barely understand her. It took over 30 minutes to complete our order. They staff could not tell us the ingredients in some of the menu items (meaty breakfast burrito). Other customers came in to order and were turned away being told by a staff member "we are not taking any orders right now." Should have checked the Yelp reviews first but it was the only "fast" food open outside the airport. The AC units were leaking/dripping in several places throughout the restaurant without caution wet floor signs placed out so you would not be caught unaware of it dripping on you. read more

The fist thing any customer arriving here needs to do is clean their table before eating. All the tables are filthy and the furniture is falling apart, so lower your expectations and get to work. The staff is numb, unresponsive, & unable to speak English with a side of depression so you better bring your very best communication skills & charisma to offset the imbalance and get your order taken. They will quote you the store number in big black numbers but the order number will be in tiny numbers hidden on the receipt so it's like a trivia hunt game for free. Finally the food fill arrive that is "ok" and about what you would get at any fast food chain like McDonalds. I had a chicken sandwich, cold greasy fries, & a coke. Leaving the restaurant I smiled and said goodbye to the employees and was met by cold stares & a numb zombie non reaction in return. Three times I've stopped at this JITB in the morning on my way to the office in the last few weeks; three times I've been both disappointed and impressed with their unique level of incompetence... If at 6:00AM, your median drive through wait time is 10-15 minutes, you're doing something wrong. If, given all that time, you still can't get orders correct, you're doing something wrong. If the management is unable or (more likely) unwilling to fix it, that's a big problem. Stop 1: fastest service, at 10 minutes order to pull away. But - my "breakfast sandwich combo with large hot coffee" became charge for iced coffee and try to hand him that instead. When I asked for hot coffee, window attendant pouted and handed me a small hot coffee. When I requested that it be the large, she was visibly annoyed. This was the best of the three visits. Stop 2: Over 15 minutes from get in line to pull away. While waiting for my food, I observe an employee sweeping the drive through lane with a broom - no one working the counter, employees just hanging out chatting, bored looking drive through attendant not prepping drinks or helping bag food. Someone from the kitchen ended up coming out of the back to hand me my food through the window. Stop 3: 15 minutes order to pull away. Am advised at 6:00 that "there's no coffee." AT 6:00AM! Not "we're brewing more, it'll be 5 minutes" - nope, "there's no coffee" - but whatever, I'll get a burrito and go grab coffee at a gas station. Pull up to the window, and watch who I can only assume is the manager (not wearing a JITB shirt or apron), after taking my money, grab a plastic bag and proceed to put it over the head of the employee carrying someone else's meal and start to horseplay. While the line is backing up at the drive through! Still wait 15 minutes for a burrito that shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to make - if you have to walk to the freezer and get it! While employees stood around and did nothing. Three attempts has been enough - I'll add a few minutes to my drive to stop at a different place for breakfast. JITB corporate - it's time to take a look at this restaurant and get it under control. read more

Came here during my layover in Dallas. I took a huge trek walking from my terminal to this one just to try Jack in the Box. The food was good and I got my meal fast but I bet you're wondering "why the 1 star then?" While waiting for my food, I stood not too far from the register. A woman approached trying her best to order and you could tell English was a foreign language for her. The cashier was loudly tapping her nails, practically yelling at the woman to figure her order out, and rolling her eyes. There's no need for that kind of behavior. If you work in the service industry, especially at the airport, you should have manners and patience, especially when dealing with foreigners. Hope she's fired because no one in the world deserves to be treated like that. read more

If I could give this place a half a star I would,but its not an option. First off Ms.Erica (according to receipt) had an attitude while taking orders. She was huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes. If you don't want to be here working then quit and allow someone who don't take there job for granted work your position ! She then had an attitude with us when taking our order. To make matters worse... we had to wait for the longest time to get our food and it is really cold in here. Does the heat not work in here? Everyone is bundled like we are eating outside. Food was cold after waiting all that time and the chicken sandwich my daughter ordered looked old. It was hard from being over cooked and seemed like it had been sitting for a while. My egg rolls were cold as well! My daughter takes her sandwich back to counter to explain to Erica that her sandwich is very hard. Her response was " well you ordered a chicken sandwich didn't you? My daughter tells her yes but it is very hard and cold. 5 min goes by and I am assuming the manager got her a new sandwich and gave her some fresh fries. (Thank you!) So me and my family went here after checking into our room. We went through the drive through which took longer than expected. Then they gave us 1 regular fry and one curly fry instead of the 2 curly fries we ordered. But guess what they still got a 5 star review from us. That was the best food I've had from a jack inthe box in YEARS!!!! The burgers were hot and fresh so were the fries. I ate the regular fries and now I think they are my favorite fast food fries period. That team you had working on 6/14/20 between 8-9 pm all need raises because they are doing it right. This was one of the most horrific experience I've had at a fast food establishment. I work in food service and know the laws and I also know what I'm to expect, but this was far below that standard. The cashier taking the order had the longest most disgusting fake nails I had ever seen (which is illegal in food service). While I'm waiting in line I watch her touch her face, ears and the money of course. Then I proceed to notice the PUSSING COLD SORE (HERPES) on her face!!!! I almost told her to keep the change because I didn't want her sick disease. I was then even more horrified at the fact that as she is placing food on trays, she is grabbing the fries from the top with the palm of her disease infested hand... I went there this morning before my shift started hoping to get breakfast before my shift. I was told the store was closed for the day which I thought was odd. I arrived at 7:36 and as I turned into the parking lot 2 other cars followed me into the drive thru who were also turned away. I ate lunch at the Taco Bell later today at 11 as I looked over to the very same jack in the box only to see that they're open today and the drive thru is packed. Rude AF!! Worst service ever!! Walked in and was greeted with "whadayawant!" Extremely annoyed at the fact I walked in giving her a reason to earn her pay check. I went to get a drink and the ice was out. I requested ice and got a "huff " in response. Got my ice from the drive thru lady then the multi coke machine was out of literally everything. Got tea. No receipt upon request. The entire event was so bad I let the Sheridan manager know so that they wouldn't recommend that location again. It's not often you get good, fast service at the airport. Yeah their prices are ridiculous since you know, we are already through security and management/ownership knows they have a captive audience and can take advantage of customers. Also my burger was dry as dirt. But still, shout out to the girl running the front register at 5:50pm on Sunday July 30 (young lady with braided hair I think her name starts with an S) and the young man running the fry station for being awesome, fast, and friendly. Came to the drive thru and ask if the chili they serve with curly fries and cheese is it pork in the chili, they lady said"It's Chili"! So that mean she had no clue on what mix in their food. In the past, whenever I had to pick up someone from IAH but the flight was delayed, I'd spend some time sitting here to enjoy some snacks and drinks. I mean, it's a run of the mill Jack in the Box. The food alone is about 5 stars for fast food. However, the tables are commonly dirty. Each time I go in their bathroom, I had to grab a paper towel first in order to touch ANYTHING inside. On my last visit, if you have ever seen Trainspotting, there was a scene that features the Worst Toilet in Scotland, yeah... the toilet here would've given it a run for the money. Of course, affixed above their soap dispenser is a sign that says "this restroom is checked on an hourly basis for cleanliness." Apparently, that's not enough. It's not the food that's causing the sort of craptacular explosion here either, because I stomached their food just fine. But I digress. In all seriousness, the food here is great.
