My son had the strawberry-rhubarb lemonade (yum), my husband had a cider, nd I had tea! To start, we shared the gluten free calamari. After that, I had the cataplana (very tasty and filling), my husband the halibut (sooo good), and my son the steak. For dessert, my son had the blueberry cheesecake, because when in Maine, why not. They also had a chocolate gluten-free cake. Everything was scrumptious, but it really was the server who made the meal extra special.

Big day of activities in Maine. A big seafood dinner was in order. The Chat Room was a perfect…read morespot. It is right by the water and has outdoor seating. We were seated pretty quick. The drink order was taken first as the family looked over the food menu further. Lots of blueberry themed drinks to fit the Maine theme. I had the Grapefruit & Rosemary Spritz. I liked it, it was a tad too bitter for me. Grapefruit and lime juice together will do that. My brother had the Alfredo dish. He is not a fan of seafood in the slightest. His portion was HUGE. It was a dish that could have been split, instead he had leftovers for a different day. My parents stuck to their goal of having as much Maine Lobster as they could. The lazy lobster option is always appreciated by vacation goers. I went with the halibut. I really like halibut and this was my favorite halibut filet I've had. The carrots were also bigger than most carrots I have had in my life. The fries were an awesome complementary side. I ate everything on my plate and enjoyed every second of the food coma I was in the rest of the night. Our waitress was attentive to our dietary needs. She was very passionate and informative about the seafood offerings. The halibut I had was from the Maine waters, which is a rarer due to the limited time US fishermen can get halibut. Glad I got some! If you have the opportunity to have the halibut, go for it! Awesome spot. I appreciate the gluten free options and the mocktails. The mocktail was the least favorite part of my meal. Hood but more bitter than I anticipated. Overall, amazing. Food, ambience and service. All of it!

We got seated & there were still 2 window tables available. When we asked a gentleman if we could move to one of those, he said 'I have to ask'... the rude man came back and said 'no, that's reserved'. Ok. Just tell us nicely! Tables both remained empty for the hour duration of our meal. One table did have people come in towards the end- to be fair. But the other one didn't. Just can't stand people treating others like less than. Our server was super sweet.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the beautiful barn on their property. The inside of the barn is absolutely gorgeous and didn't really need to be decorated as the appearance is gorgeous as is and they had some decorations already there. It was so easy and so much fun, everyone was able to relax and enjoy our time together. The ceremony was beautiful as was the reception. The spot is incredibly gorgeous. They had all tables, chairs, linens and everything else we needed to accommodate the 150 people that were there. We couldn't have done it without Julie, Charles and there beautiful family that put in so much effort and made us feel at home. We highly recommend this venue and couldn't be happier. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed there time too! Thank you Kelleys Place on the Cove!!!

Our stay at The Bayview Hotel was the best travel experience our family has ever had. As parents of…read moretwo young children, it was amazing to have it feel relaxing and fun for everyone--but The Bayview somehow managed to do exactly that. It wasn't just a vacation; it felt like we were genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and eager to make our stay special. We were constantly amazed by the thoughtful touches--from the personalized treats waiting for our kids, to the beautifully folded laundry returned in a charming basket (what a luxury for a mom on vacation!), to the nightly turndown service that made us feel completely pampered. Breakfast each morning was outstanding and we all loved the afternoon teatime! Chef Tricia and her team created delicious, beautifully prepared food. it was lovely to be able to pop in for breakfast or afternoon tea and treats each day. Our children loved the nightly s'mores around the fire pit, the playground, and wandering the shoreline trail to climb on the rocks by the water. Those simple moments became some of our favorite family memories. The complimentary shuttle into downtown Bar Harbor made everything incredibly convenient, and the hotel's location--just minutes from Acadia National Park--couldn't have been better. My daughter and I enjoyed taking the shuttle to the sister property for morning yoga. We enjoyed all the beauty and adventure of the area while always looking forward to returning "home" to The Bayview each evening. A very special thank you to Vinet at the front desk, the manager, Chef Tricia, and every member of the team. You each made us feel truly special. The level of hospitality you provide has really set the bar. Our week flew by. We left feeling refreshed, spoiled, and already talking about when we can come back. Thank you, The Bayview, for giving our family what was truly our best family vacation yet. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

This is their number one asset, and they treat it that way. The room highlights the view perfectly, and the grounds are impeccable. - The room was nice, clean, and everything in it just right. The room cleaning staff was excellent. - The extra touches were a delight: chocolate strawberries for our 34th anniversary with a note, the water bottles, turn-down service with little gifts. Little touches like that around every corner. - The breakfast (and food in general) exceeded our expectation. Whoever they have in the kitchen is doing a bang-up job. - The front desk staff was gracious, helpful, and prompt. The concierge helped us with reservations and itinerary. Top notch. - The shuttle was great. It made the hotel's distance from downtown a non-issue. - We had a minor issue with an overly-enthusiastic dog (remember this is a pet-friendly hotel btw), but the staff and management handled it quickly and professionally, again making it a non-issue.

There are plenty of fluffy towels and hot water to compensate. Super fast wifi was a surprising bonus! Delicious home cooked breakfast included.
