Great shrimp po boy and fries! Super close to ones I've had in New Orleans. Great customer service and nice patio seating.

Our family spent a week in McCall for a family reunion. For lunch we wandered the town of McCall each day and would pick a new place to eat as individual families. At Frenchie's we found a happy, hard working staff. They were all wearing masks, cleaning frequently, and keeping the indoor seating to a minimum due to Covid. We were impressed with how easily they took our orders, brought out our food and catered to us throughout the lunch. Several of the kids, my hubby and I ordered the shrimp poboy which was absolutely incredible! We all loved it! The portion size of sandwich and fries was just right for us. The outdoor seating was nice as well. And the owner came and talked with us at the end of our meal to thank us for coming. Highly recommend stopping in at Frenchie's should you ever find yourself in beautiful McCall, Idaho. read more

Great food. Very friendly service and in this Covid 19 world we live in lots of outdoor seating. Simple menu but will work with you if you want something different using items they have. Saw the high ratings for this place but only made it here due to other places being either closed or needing reservations. Up on 3rd street away from the waterfront so no views but there was a nice outdoor area that we could enjoy the weather. We had to go up the stairs and inside for ordering and all the staff were very friendly and helpful! Ordered a Shiver IPA, the BLT with smoked salmon (excellent) and wifey had the Dat Burger. She had tots and I had fries with our dinner - both were cooked to the right crispness and were great. All hit the spot - excellent meal! read more

Wow incredible food and outstanding service! We lucked out our first night and found this place in McCall. The food here was better than most of the local food that we ate in New Orleans! And the service was awesome. My clumsy self knocked over my water all over the place and the staff was so understanding and quick to come clean up. I went inside to refill my plastic cup and the owner was already on her way to bring me a fresh glass of water. I asked her "are you sure you want to give me a glass?" and she laughed and said "I'm clumsy too and this always works better for me". So sweet and thoughtful. They really went above and beyond with their service and the food was exemplary!! Worth many more visits! Need to try the sandwiches next, they looked amazing. read more

From the second you walk in and are greeted by owners and staff that really love what they're doing, you know you've made the right decision. Everything is made from scratch and with love. The food is spot on perfect to the bistros in New Orleans. The pricing is great from apps to champagne cocktails. Id love to keep this a hidden local's spot but word has definitely gotten out!! read more

Stopped by with the family as we were coming back from Ponderosa Park. Called in and the food was ready when they said it would be (15 mins). I had the Po'boy, my wife had Blazin, my son had a Dat burger, and my daughter had one of their chicken meals. Service was extremely attentive and polite. Food was delicious with no complaints on any of the food we ordered. I would recommend the fries over the tater tots. read more

When you think of McCall, Idaho, you probably don't think of cajun-inspired cuisine...but you should. Frenchie's is fantastic! Great food, super-friendly staff (Jinelle (sp?) really takes care of you, always with a smile), and a nice vibe combine to make this a restaurant you'll want to return to...we did. Twice in our few days in McCall! From the "Fancy Melt" (w/smoked Gouda, Demi mushrooms & onions in tallo-toasted brioche), to the chicken fried po-boy and (get this) a TROUT club (that was awesome) to the spinach chopped salad (super-fresh!) and blue plate gumbo...everything (and we mean everything) was unbelievable. All this is paired with a nice selection of high-quality craft beers. Mosey on down to Frenchie's, kick back with terrific cuisine and a craft brew, and enjoy the company. Delicious food made by nice people. Their incredible "Cajun-ish" cuisine is as tasty as it is unique. The crawfish chowder is delicious AF!! Prices are reasonable, take out food is available too and pick up has always gone smoothly, been ready on time, and is super easy by using their website when ordering. This is my second visit to Frenchie's this week. The shrimp Po Boy is as good as you can get in South Louisiana. The chowders are excellent with a little of chefs personal flair. Staff is wonderful and the menu has something for everyone. You want to do the Cajun two step listening to the music. Came to the Muffuletta and jambalaya special live music. We ate at Frenchies for lunch. I ordered the gumbo and it was thee BEST gumbo I have ever enjoyed! Husband got the special which was a pulled pork sandwich, DELICIOUS! Kids shared a grilled cheese that was melt in your mouth perfect, and they ended their lunch with a sweet treat of popsicles. They had a marvelous selection of beer and wine. My family loves this place! The staff are so welcoming and helpful. It is a fast casual style where you order at the counter but then they bring the food out to you. Food came out so fast. There is a lovely patio and a few spots inside but outside is the place to be. The shrimp po boy is sooooo yummy. The voodoo sauce has just the right amount of kick. We loved everything we ordered and are sad we discovered this place on the last day of our stay. Don't miss it! read more

On their sign it says in French, 'Let the good times roll'. Believe you me that this place rolls with flavor. We shared the Gyro Po Boy we were stuffed and we're very pleased. The sandwich rivals any donner gyro from Germany. We will make this a regular when we come to McCall. read more

We enjoyed our visit. They were nice, patient, and the food was tasty. We got the crawfish Rangoon which was delicious. Our toddler enjoyed his chicken, fries, and apple juice. My husband got a sandwich, which he said he would get again. I got "dat hamburger" and fries which were fine. It was too hot to sit inside, but there were plenty of tables to sit outside. It's a relaxed atmosphere and the folks working there came by several times to check if we were enjoying our food and if they could get us anything else. read more

Stopped for lunch on our way through town and were not disappointed. We didn't get to sample the tastes of NOLA, but we really enjoyed our burgers and sandwiches. The food was perfectly prepared and they easily met the needs of my picky kids (read: plain burger). The staff was friendly and even went out of their way to suggest I choose the the kids menu burgers (which come with fries) to save me a few bucks and best meet our needs. Hubby had the roast beef po'boy. The beef was shredded rather than sliced, but tender, delicious and served typical po'boy style with gravy, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. I had the blazin' burger meal style with a soft drink and a generous serving of crisp fries. Just delicious! Prices were surprisingly moderate. Hubby says he's having the burger next visit. I'm thinking about a shrimp po'boy. For surely there will be a next time and many more. read more

I tried their Frenchie's fries and those were delicious, I really liked their cheese dip that came with them. Oatmeal cookies are AMAZING. Owners are super friendly. Only downside for me is that the food is pricey. read more
