I can't say enough good things about this place! From start to finish, they are absolute rockstars and so easy to work with. A few things that really stand out: Super Convenient: It is so easy to get into--no hassle with awful parking or confusing setups, which is a breath of fresh air for an auto shop. Above-and-Beyond Customer Care: The staff are overly friendly, genuinely welcoming, and happy to answer any questions without making you feel rushed. Peace of Mind: Most importantly, they truly stand behind their service and products. You can tell they care about doing things right and building long-term trust with their customers. If you need auto parts or advice, skip the big impersonal chains and come here. Highly recommended! read more

If you are looking for a quaint place and out of the hustle and bustle of McCall, you need to take the drive and come here. The service was awesome the waitress was doing things before we even asked, coffee was always topped off and she brought to go containers for leftovers... did I mention there was only one waitress. I forgot to take pics but I got a half order of loaded potatoes and my husband got the corn beef hash... serving was just right but we made sure to leave room for a cinnamon roll. The price is more than what you see on the menu and up to the going rate of today's prices... we paid $52 for the meal. A must place to stop when in the area. read more

The food was excellent. Terribly inexpensive for all we got, but I am from California, so..you know. The service was terrific; our waitress, lovely and prompt. Ambiance is quite quaint, I would have LOVED to be there when the piano was in use. Seems like a great spot. It would be amazing in the snow. read more

Stopped here on the way out of McCall on Sunday 8/16, walking in there was a sign cash only and that there was an ATM. Across the street if you need one. We didn't so we went in and sat ourselves as the sign instructed, the waitress came over and asked if we wanted coffee, but didn't offer water, we ordered 2 coffees, as we sat and waited the waitress went over to another table and took their order, then she want into the kitchen area and returned to check out a customer at the register, then she went over and served some customers their order , filled their coffee and proceeded to checkout another guest who done with their meals , still no coffee or even a acknowledgment that it was coming, we have now been there about 5 minutes, we got up and left , still no communication from the waitress, we went back to McCall and has a very good breakfast, lakeside with a beautiful view, I would not recommend this place to my enemies let alone friends or family. read more

When busy, service can be a little slow, but always tasty. A great local place to eat!

I stopped in for coffee and a biscuit on a week day and wasn't disappointed. Friendly staff and a real small town feel with passing tourists and locals alike. Better check it out in New Meadows. read more

Stopped here after the restaurant we wanted to go to in Riggins was no longer there. Decided to try this place after seeing reviews. We were not disappointed! Got eggs, sausage, their special potatoes (yum), and sourdough toast and coffee. Everything was so flavorful! It's not a big place, but don't miss it! So often breakfast is a bland meal-this was such a pleasant surprise. They were busy, so service was a little slow, but the server was very friendly and efficient so we didn't mind. read more

best food and French toast I have had in my entire life, me and my friend just went there, I could never ask for something more, its better then my MOMS cooking, the whole soul purpose of my life was to eat that food, the service was just out of this world, the staff was excellent and extremely nice, the Ambiance was very very very good, there was not that many people there and I created this yelp account souly just to review this restaurant DAY 2!!: It was so perfect we had to go back again, it was just as perfect as the day before, the bacon was cooked perfectly, the French toast was perfectly fluffy and soooo good, the scrambled eggs where also amazing, this time we also got hot cocoa, it was a good warm temperature, it was topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles, it was amazing, it's so good I might just have to come back again! read more

Wouldn't be a week without starting it off at Granite Mountain Cafe!!!!! Breakfast meals are absolutely fantastic! Service is excellent and the people always make you feel at home and a part of the family. Be sure to stop for breakfast if you are traveling through New Meadows! My personal favorite is the Mexican Omelette! You won't leave hungry! (They are closed on Monday and Tuesday) read more

You really wouldn't expect much just by looking at their building. It's hard to even notice while passing by through the tiny mountain town of New Meadows. Heading up Highway 95 to McCall, Granite Mountain Cafe sits to your left. If you're lucky enough to catch them during operating hours, GO! This small, women-owned cafe whips up some of the best breakfasts foods in Valley County. I take Highway 55 since I'm from Boise, so my husband and I totally agree that the drive down from McCall and back is worth it for this little diner. Their famous Full Topper (two homemade buttermilk biscuits topped with ham, cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs, smothered in country sausage gravy ($12.00/full order, $7.00 half) is not for the faint of heart. This monster is the perfect breakfast if you're spending the day at Brundage, hiking the West Mountains, or if you're just in the mood for some calories. I've never been able to finish an entire plate by myself, so if you have a small tummy like me, you may want to share or get the half order. Moving on, my absolute favorite menu item is the French Toast (served with one egg and choice of bacon or sausage links, $8.50). I kid you not this is the best damn French toast my very experienced taste buds have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Granite Mtn uses a very special, secret recipe for their batter that nearly brings life to the toast. It's unique, hard to describe, almost savory and sweet at the same time. Plus, the toast is HUGE. Like thiccccc. I recommend just the single piece to avoid over-eating because it's super easy to do that here. I'm absolutely in love with this hidden Idahoan gem! Please consider stopping by to support this local business and tip the very nice server well too! She was running the entire place (minus cooking of course) but you wouldn't even notice she was because she did an amazing job. Filled up our coffee 3 times and attended to us as needed. Thanks for existing, Granite Mtn, so I don't have to depend on Pancake House for breakfast. Oh almost forgot, if anyone reads this far, I also tried an Elderberry Croissant ($4.00) that was super yummy. You can sub toast for that instead for only $3.50, and yes I totally suggest doing that. read more

This is a true Americana cafe! The service is amazing! Friendly, helpful and welcoming. If you are lucky enough to have breakfast when some of America's heroes are having breakfast, you'll hear amazing stories. In true Idaho style, the head waitress is honest and salt of the earth- I inadvertently left something very valuable to me at my table - she kept it for over a week, protecting it and knowing I'd be back. So ... Stop in, play the piano and enjoy! read more

We have stopped by here twice on hunting trips. This place has an outstanding breakfast, with generous portions, fresh food, great service and reasonable prices. I had the Saturday special, which was biscuits and gravy, with two eggs, and a choice of bacon or sausage. I had the sausage. The food was fresh, the biscuits were home made, and almost melted in your mouth. The gravy was fresh as well and delicious. I had coffee and the waitress kept it coming. If you are in the area and hungry for breakfast, stop on by, it's wonderful. read more

Great breakfast stop on the way home from MCCall. Big portions, great flavor and perfect service. Lots of options for adults and kids.

The family was really excited to eat here based on the reviews and the photos. However, the entire experience just fell flat. The hometown service was great and the waitress ensured the coffee was filled. The food however, was all cold. This was probably due to us having a larger group and the kitchen being very small (like one you would have at home). So maybe the food would be good if you came here as a small group who could get their meal coming right off the grill. I personally had the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were very dry and the gravy was cold. Note the restaurant opens at 7 a.m. and we were there before 7:15 a.m., so the gravy should not be cold. I also had bacon which was cooked perfectly but it too was cold. The kids had pancakes and I don't know why, but they just tasted "off." They looked good, but did not taste good. A couple of other items that were just unexpected. One, they do not have soda so I had to settle for a $4 glass of lemonade. Two, they have a surcharge for using a credit card which while becoming more common place should probably be communicated at the door before you even enter the restaurant. I'm personally just not a fan of charging to accept credit cards as a form of payment. I would only suggest trying this place if you have one or two people and can get there when they are not busy. read more

We stopped through here while traveling and we really enjoyed it! The biscuits & gravy were some of the best I've ever had, and their breakfast burrito was to die for! I believe it was Shay that we were talking with, and she was so kind & helpful! Will definitely be back next time we travel through. read more

We ate here twice during our stay in the area. The food was delicious and the service was great. Portions were perfect and the French toast hit the spot. The potatoes were our favorite. The feel was what you'd want from a family run breakfast cafe. We enjoyed everything. It is definitely a high recommendation if you're in the area. read more

I am usually a fairly generous reviewer but, this will be the exception...I even waited 24 hours to post so that I could sleep on it. While I certainly appreciate that there may be some impacts from COVID, the service at Granite Mountain Cafe was just not good and the menu not an accurate description of what was provided. Certainly not worth the drive over from McCall... It took just under an hour (50 minutes) to get our food...a simple veggie omelette and "The Topper". Both of the meals were less than impressive when they were finally served. "The Topper" was not as advertised. The ham "steak" that is on the menu...and what I was looking forward to...was nothing but two slices of deli ham that were so thin that I wouldn't have known they were there if I didn't look. That's just not right. If you list it...serve it. If you are out, then fine, let the customer know. But, don't cheap out on what you serve and still charge full price. As mentioned, I am usually a pretty "soft" reviewer and tend to vote places up. That said, we saw nothing here in terms of decor, food presentation, quality or service that would merit anything like a 5-star review or the raves that prior reviews have provided. In fact, after being a loyal Yelp user...all over the world...this is the FIRST time that we have been led astray by prior reviews and really disappointed in the entire experience. Eat somewhere else... read more

Granite Mtn. Cafe on this busy Sunday morning is not a restaurant I can recommend. It was packed and we were told it would probably be 30 minutes after we ordered until our meal arrived, no problem! I ordered the French toast special, 1 slice of egg challah bread with eggs and bacon or sausage, the French toast was so burned on the under side that I could not cut thru it, the eggs ordered over hard were runny with crispy edges and when re-made came out exactly the same! The other meal was edible. The server was friendly and came by to apologize for the eggs being prepared incorrectly, I didn't bother to tell her that the re-cook was also runny! Perhaps on a slower day things might be better but for my money it's over the hill and into McCall for a reliable breakfast at The Pancake House or one of the other restaurants. read more

Stopped here on Sunday morning when the special was French Toast, 2 eggs and bacon or sausage. Very tasty food. The server was working alone so she was on the run, but attentive. I recommend this place if you're hungry and looking for a small independently run place while in New Meadows. read more

First time having breakfast here and it was delicious! Great coffee, nice portions and fresh yummy food! Def will be back again.

Driving from Boise to Spokane, we decided to stop here for lunch. We sat down, and it took forever just for the waitress to make it to our table. We were a party of 5 and it took 1 hour 19 minutes and 23 seconds (I timed them of course) for our food to come. It wasn't even gourmet food. My sister ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. I could probably make that in about 5 minutes. I tried to flag the waitress down at one point because I didn't have a fork, but she was nowhere. I ended up just getting my own fork. The food was B-team, after all the waiting. If you want to waste your day just to get served mediocre food, feel free to stop by the Granite Mountain Cafe. read more

We were driving down from McCall and decided to stop here for a late breakfast. We had been here on last trip through and it was good. Entered behind a couple with a baby, they went to a table in the back, we took a table in front of the counter. Waitress took menus to the couple and ignored us. Another couple came in and sat at the table behind us (obviously locals). They immediately got greeted and menus, still nothing for us. Finally the waitress slapped menus on our table and stomped off ????!!!! We waited some more. All this time there is a family in the front dining room with kids SCREAMING at the top of their lungs. Not pleasant at ALL. We waited. The waitress took the order of the couple that came in after us, we waited. Finally I said to my partner that I had enough and we left. Oh there were 2 waitresses, but the 2nd one seemed confused about her duties so she gave up. We will not be back. read more

Outstanding cinnamon rolls and a great breakfast. Glad we stopped by your restaurant on the way to McCall

The cook was the only person in the cafe this morning. He was RUDE and a generally not helpful at all. We had to get our own coffee and when we asked for creamer he said "we don't have any" I asked for milk and in a smart remark kind of way was told "we don't have that either." That should have been the first sign! Breakfast took an hour and wasn't very good. We were told the cook/waiter was the owners son, he acted more like a waitress! I couldn't recommend this place any less.. It may be hard to fire family but...this kid isn't good for business! read more
