Just finished a delicious Chicken Fry! Jared had the Fried Shrimp Po Boy and Alice had a Lil Boo cheeseburger (we asked for a tomato and lettuce as it comes with just the burger and cheese, exactly how most kids like it!) Food was excellent, had fried chicken... I never get fried food but they explained they use a special oil so I got it and it was excellent. My wife had the vegi burger which was also good. Biggest thing that stuck out was the happy, nice staff. Most other restaurants in the area are full of grumpy wait and bar staff but these folks were happy and it showed in the environment and food. read more

We have been spending weekends in Mccall idaho for over ten years and very pleased that we have a new and different dining choice. Frenchie's service, food, and cleanliness is outstanding. During our 2nd visit we were welcomed with owner asking us if we had questions about the menu followed by amazing 10/10 Po'boy shrimp and chicken. If you like it spicy ask for "bang bang". Local draft beers made the dinner perfect. Don't miss this place when in Mccall. read more

What a treasure! Every meal has been delicious so far, and the service is super friendly. They've put a southern spin (including southern-style hospitality) on food for the whole family. We've made multiple visits in the three weeks they've been open. Favorites (so far) include Dat Burger, the Shrimp Po Boy and the Brunch Benedict on Sunday. Wow! This was our first time eating here and it shot to the top of our list for best food in McCall. Between us we had gumbo, squeaky cheese (curds), and a shrimp PoBoy with fries. The ingredients were fresh and the food was well-prepared...nothing was greasy. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to customers' needs. We're up from New Orleans and honestly thought before we walked in that we were setting ourselves up to be disappointed by going here. Restaurants that advertise themselves as New Orleans cooking rarely taste like the food back home. But the reviews were excellent, so we gave it a try. It did not disappoint! Friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, barn rustic ambiance. Received our food quickly. Homemade dipping sauces, self soda refills, and to go boxes for the taking. This was such a pleasant surprise. We stopped here for lunch and the food was incredible. We had the fried chicken, trout and fried shrimp po'boys. They were all delicious but the chicken was our favorite. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Next time I'm definitely trying the gumbo or one of the soup selections. You definitely need to eat here. I had the chicken poboy, the fried chicken was delicious. My wife had the chowder "best she has ever had". In fact she bought a bowl to take home and have for dinner. Sunday brunch was amazing, we have been there twice and plan to go back every Sunday till I have everything then stat over :). I was very happy the first time and the second.
