I have been super skeptical about getting my nails done since things have re-opened but I have to say this nail salon really did well on not only my nails but making sure the customers safety came first. Upon walking in, they take your temperature right away. It's a very small salon but they have 2 chairs open for both pedicure and manicure that are definitely at least, if not more than 6 feet apart! My nails look PHENOMENAL. This is probably the first time I've ever gone to a salon and told them squared filed nails and I actually leave with them square. They really took the time to make them what I wanted them to be. The woman were so sweet at getting to know a little about me and I truly felt cared for here! DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

I guess it wasn't too bad but it pretty expensive... I got uv extensions and a pedicure it was $115 total (not including tip) and my nails started chipping two days after. The nail tech I had for my manicure spent more time filing my nails then actually doing anything else with them. It kinda felt half assed but at the same time it was too much. I don't know if that makes sense but I hate that I spent $115 for them to chip in a few days. (My toes are extremely chipped too, which usually last moths). I don't recommend going here. read more

I didn't have time before to do the review but I have time today! My friend and I choose a new salon for our nails every 2 weeks. She called ahead to check the pricing for a gel fill in and pedicure she was told the fill in was $30 and the pedicure was also $30. At the end of this experience we were charged $90.00 I was less then pleased about the scam this lady ran on us. She charged $30 for the pedicure , $30 for the gel fill in then another $30 just for gel nail polish. You would have thought she was selling you the entire bottle for $30! I got a nude tone polish definitely not worth $30 alone. Her logic was that the fill in is $30 and a gel manicure is $30. Total rip off! Last i heard a fill in and manicure were two separate services. I would have been fine with paying $30 for the fill in plus an extra price for the polish but not $30 extra! That's outrageous! Mind you the entire time she had us choosing colors she kept pushing that we get gel polish for our nails without disclosing it is an additional $30 just for a few strokes of polish. Her logic made no sense as she tried to explain that a fill in only included the fill in and the manicure included the buffing from the fill in, shaping, polish. Then she went on to contradict herself and say because we got gel polish it was gel polish is $30 Needless to say I will not be back. The next time I pay $60 for my nails alone i will be walking out of the salon on fleek. Also the pedicures are trash. I had light marks on my toes where they did not apply enough polish. If my feet were not so ugly I'd show y'all but take my word for it! If you feel the pricing makes sense feel free to go for your gel nails. She did do a good job per the included photo. I was not a fan of this salons work, although the staff was nice and they were kind. another woman came in, they offered her water. I was never offered water. Consistency is key. My pedicure was sanitary, but the exfoliation on my feet was not enough. I kept thinking maybe the massage will save her, It was ok, the hot stones were useless. Just hot rock on my skin. There wasn't enough cuticle removal, and It just was ok. Manicure pedicure were $35 with a $10 tip. That was the saving grace. It was cheap. I will probably not return unless i go to every other salon in Montclair and then circle back for a different service provider. read more

The owner was nice and told me not a lot of nail salons work with gel powder Bc they don't know how. Well, clearly she doesn't either. Less than a week of getting them done and two nails broke. What's worse is, they were my real nails. LIVID. Now this morning, a week and 3 days later, another just broke right in half. I NEVER had this problem until now. My new favorite nail salon! I have paid $40 for a gel manicure at salons in watchung plaza only to have my nails chip or crack after a week! At French nail salon my gel manicure lasts 3 plus weeks because they use high quality products! And they only charge $30! Eunice is great! All the nail technicians take their time and let your nails sit under the light - not like other places where my nails were under for maybe 15 seconds before a new coat was put on. There are also tons of colors to choose from - more than any other salon that offers gel manicures! This is my go to salon!! read more

I'm surprised this nail salon hasn't gotten any reviews yet as it is my favorite place to get my eyebrows done. I've gotten my nails done here as well and the prices were cheap and they do a pretty good job. Getting my eyebrows here is not only cheap ($7) but they also really listen to what you want and make your eyebrows look great. I've gone to other places in town and it's more expensive for not as good of a job. The people here are friendly and they offer some pretty good coupons. It's not as fancy as some of the other salons in town, but it's in a good location and parking is pretty accessible. You should definitely check this place out! read more

I've been to many nail salons in Montclair and this one is by far the best. It just recently changed owners and I went in on a friends suggestion. The pedicures are amazing. I went in for a pedicure and was there for about an hour. I felt incredibly pampered and relaxed. They really spend a good amount of time massaging your feet and rubbing your legs. I also go for a bi-monthly gel manicure. I'm always finding crazy nail art on Pinterest and asking them to do it. They are super nice and are always trying to do the design as perfect and the picture. The gel manis last up to three weeks without chipping. Their prices are also slightly lower than other salons in the area ($30 for gel) I've had my eyebrows waxed and thought they also did a fabulous job on my eyebrows. Stop in and you will certainly become a return customer. read more

Have you ever had to clip your own nail while getting a manicure? This used to be the best place in town to get your mani/pedi done. But, the owners moved shop to Watchung Plaza, and they took the quality service with them. I gave the new ownership several tries, and the last 5 manicures have been substandard. While the pedicure performed by the Central American staff is up to standard, they act as if you are interrupting them from their leisure. You're the help. I don't pay money to be made to feel uncomfortable. Then inevitably you get handed off to the owner's daughter for your manicure. Even after having to ask her to attend to my cuticles, she barely skims them. My nails look as if they weren't even cut. Forget about any extra attention to cleaning them or trimming the excess skin. The worst part about this place is the surreal infomercial that plays on two different monitors in the shop as excessive volume. It echos in imperfect stereo. This sensory assault like some sort of military psych ops campaign meant to break you down to a state of submissive delirium. It is the antithesis of what one expects in a "spa". When I pointed this out, everyone plays like they do not understand English. I asked them if the infomercial company was an investor in the shop or if they had some sort of distribution deal for their products. Silence. Bizarre. I'm done with this place for good. read more

Only place in Montclair where you can get a $25 pedicure with a scrub, massage, and hot stone! I'm all about price value, and I never feel like I'm over paying when I come here. I've been here 3 times already. For shellac manicures and regular pedicures. Shellac is priced at $30 and regular pedicures are $25. They also do a quick massage on your back when your nails dry. I've been here a couple times before and I loved the service.. unfortunately I just left and am really underwhelmed with the pedicure I just paid for.. Felt very rushed and a few of the things that were done in the previous pedicures I've gotten were not included.. (hot wax on the heels - massage after while waiting for my nails to try).. I asked my technician about the hot wax while she started painting my nails, and she pretty much said that they don't do that anymore with pedicures.. then when I asked if it was extra she said that "my feet didn't need it".. as if that was a good enough reason to skip it entirely. I came in about 50 minutes before closing - yelp said they are open until 730 on a Saturday, but the hours on the door said they close at 6pm.. regardless, I shouldn't have felt so rushed out of there with my technician speeding thru everything and all of the other girls running around like maniacs cleaning up - it was not a relaxing experience at all. If they didn't think it would be enough time to do the pedicure, they shouldn't have told me to sit down in the chair. Overall very disappointed, and I don't think I will be back after this. read more

They do a very good job for a great price. I'm very picky about my nails, but they shape them PERFECTLY which is very important. I get the gel manicure which is only $30 and it lasts for 2 to 3 weeks, doesn't chip and stays shiny. The staff is friendly and they remember you which is nice. Its not fancy but if you want your nails to look great and not spend a ton of money this is where you need to go. They aren't usually too busy, the longest I ever had to wait was 30 min but usually they'll take you right away. If your in a rush or its around the holidays you should make an appointment. Anyway I strongly recommend this place because I am a little bit of a snob when it comes to my nails and they always do an amazing job. read more

I've gotten my nails done in almost every salon in Montclair and this is the best! No frills but none needed. I'll admit, I was totally caught up in the idea that in order to get a good mani/pedi I had to go to someplace with soothing music, fancy stone work on the walls, and a water feature and that was charging me more than I pay for a hair cut (and I go to Bangs). After watching the prices go up-up-up at my usual place a few years back (and having to have my gel manicure redone after it chipped 3 days in and then being handed a bill for a full service) I went on the hunt for a new salon. I'd give each place a few visits (you never know when you'll have a bad technician or come in on a bad day) but was finding no place giving me the so-called bang for my buck. I recently went on vacation and wanted to get a standard pedicure and a gel manicure. After reading the reviews I figured I'd give this place a shot. While I've past this place a million times I've never thought to go in. The fading awning and neon signs make it look a little dingy. I walked in without an appointment and was seen right away. As I stood in front of the polishes (they have SO many) a lovely woman, Esther, came over to help me pick my colors; I'm terrible at picking. She painted her own nails to show me how each one would look and suggested a lovely white/grey for my toes which came out amazing and I would never would have picked. My pedicure was pure heaven. It was long and luxurious. And who needs soothing music when there's a tv right in front of you playing The Ellen DeGeneres Show! Esther did my manicure and it came out perfect. And it lasted (along with my toes) for 2 full weeks on the beach without any chips or signs of wear. I went back after I got home and had another pedicure (just as good, although Ellen wasn't on...Steve Harvey...oh well) and a regular manicure. $35 total. Best deal in town. I don't remember how much the gels cost but it was the cheapest I've ever seen. And they give you a card for a free manicure after 10! I'm so happy to have found this place after searching for so many years! I would have given 5 starts but the parking is really bad...there basically is none. There are 4 metered spots right outside which are usually taken by people eating at the 2 restaurants and the closets parking lot is Bellevue Ave.. I parked in the A&P lot which I'm not sure I'm allowed to... I know this isn't there fault but it is an inconvenience. read more
