We had one of our children's friends hit our Audi in our driveway, causing some bumper damage. They decided not to turn it in on insurance and pay for the repair of our Audi. I looked up reviews on local auto body shops and decided on Mike's because of good reviews and that it's a local place that's been in business for over 30 years. My experience was great. Mike, the owner, was always the one who helped me during our engagement there. He was quick to get me an initial quote, and I even sat with him at his desk while he ordered parts. His pricing on parts was fair, as I actually overheard the pricing of some parts on the phone as he ordered them and he didn't inflate costs on them. The labor was fairly priced, too. Once they did the initial "tear down" they found one extra part that was damaged, which did increase the cost of the repair, but I didn't hold this against them because he showed me the part (still on the car) and it was impossible to know it was damaged until after the full 'tear down.' The bodywork and paintwork were perfectly done, meaning paint matched perfectly and body panel gaps were to factory spec. Mike's also washed the car and cleaned the interior, and while they did remove my weathertech floor liner and forget to reinstall it after the interior clean, they kept it there and I dropped by to pick it up later. Great service and I will use them again should I have the need for auto body repair. read more

I recently obtained four estimates for a dent repair and painting. Mike's was the only place that allowed me to see where they do their work (it's very clean), which reflects the work habits of the staff. It was also the only place where the owner is the estimator and personally supervises the work. Mike explained what would need to be done and what to expect. He phoned me mid-job, to advise of the progress. On delivery, he further explained the manner of the repairs and paintwork that was done and answered my care concerns about the repaired area. For my damage repair, some specialized glass work needed to be done and Mike called in an outside expert to do the job. Some shops take on work outside of their specialties and do it poorly. My windows don't whistle like they did (on another vehicle) after some work I had done at different Salem shop. I'm very pleased with the whole experience. They were even done a day before estimated! read more

Someone hit my brand new Toyota Tacoma TRD on St. Patricks day 2016 in a parking lot..Ouch! Not too much damage, but the rear bumper was bent up. The other person's insurance (Progressive) said I could pick my own body shop, so I did some research and found that Mike's was the highest rated shop in the Salem area. I was not disappointed. Mike was friendly and helpful. He worked with me and the insurance company to ensure that they only used genuine Toyota parts and not cheap aftermarket parts (he was very strong on this point ). The insurance adjuster immediately agreed to his repair price and mentioned that is was very reasonable. The workmanship was top notch. The paint was matched perfectly (blue metallic - not the easiest color to match) and they even washed, cleaned and dried my truck for me. Highly recommended. Don Graham read more

Got into a fender bender situation, not a big deal but I wanted my truck to be professionally fixed, and it did. I agree with all 5 star comments, Mike is a great guy to deal with. You immediately feel he is focusing on you and is ready to answer any questions you might have. When I went to pick up my vehicle, he described to me everything about how and what was done. I was very eager to see if they were able to match the paint and if they were able to blend the color and yup they did. I cannot tell my truck was in an accident. He even went the extra mile and fixed an issue they discovered with the passenger door and saved me a future headache. I am sending everybody I know to Mike for sure. read more

I had a minor issue with what was mostly a cosmetic problem, but could have become a big headache if it wasn't taken care of. When I went in I spoke with Mike, the owner, not a desk clerk. He came outside, looked at the problem and agreed that it was minor but would definitely get worse if I didn't do something. And then he did something unheard of these days... He recommended another business to go to that would solve my problem better than he would. As for the quality of his work, well... If the restored 1967 Plymouth GTX that looks as though it just came off the showroom floor in 1967 is any testament, I would say these guys are amazing!!! read more

This is the second time I've worked with Mike on a paint job. Had my Ram 2500 in a few years ago to paint the front end of truck only. Long story short, I noticed a little bit of peeling paint a few weeks ago. Took it back to Mike. He was more than willing to repaint front end of truck again for the cost of materials only. He also offered to paint the bumper free of charge as the factory paint was also beginning to peel. He was willing to do whatever was needed to make it right which I really appreciated. Next time I need auto body work, I'll be going back to see Mike. Would highly recommend him to family and friends. read more

I picked this shop based solely on other customer reviews. Mike did a great job. When I dropped off my car he was very nice to me. I talked to him about some major scratches on the rear bumper that I wanted fixed but that were not part of my insurance claim. He quoted me a price but I explained to him I couldn't afford that additional cost because I was getting married the following week. A few days later when my car was ready to be picked up Mike told me he had a surprise for me. He went ahead and painted my bumper and said it was an early wedding present. I was so appreciative. Backed into by a hit & run driver, no witnesses, ugly dent. Thought I was viewing the wrong side when I went to Mike's to pick it up. No evidence it had ever been smashed on the side. Our truck appeared to be entirely painted too cuz it sparkled! Perfect repair! I should have known he'd take superior care to details. It is evident from the moment you walk into his shop. Having our truck totaled two days before Christmas didn't make for a good holiday. So glad I read other reviews here before taking the advise of the other drivers insurance company. Mike's help throughout the whole process eased a lot of headaches and the finished product is fantastic! The time frame he quoted us was adhered to which was amazing since there were a couple days of ice following our crash. They even buffed out other dings and the hood that was showing its age. He took the time to explain to me the in's and out's of what I should expect from the repair and said it would be done by Wednesday of this week. Mike's Auto Body & Paint is the only auto shop I would have my vehicles repaired. Why you ask, first of all Mike knows his business in providing a first class finished product.
