Just moved to the state and have never had my car detailed, I just called to get a quote from these guys and received the worst customer service. I should not be the most friendly person on the conversation. Dude literally answers the phone and doesn't introduce himself or the company, there's loud beeping noises in the background, and just has no customer service skills. I tell him I was hoping to get a quote and all his response was (in a very low aggressive tone), "well what do you have??" Uhh.. you mean my car? A Camaro". "Well what do you need??" My husband's 2006 Honda Civic had never been detailed in its life. This poor civic has been through two cross country moves, muddy dogs, and many spilled drinks. Willie is awesome! Very genuine and down-to-earth. Did a fantastic job on a van I had rented for one month. The van was REALLY dirty after working out of it for a month. There was mud everywhere, coffee stains from a spilled cup, and body paint damage from a magnetic sign. Willie went over and above to make sure the van was spotless inside and out. My then-fiancé bought me a new car for my birthday in October of 2016. The first new car I've ever had. It's beautiful. But it got dirty, and I had heard and read that the first car wash is the most important with a new car. It's just paint at this point. A light wax if you're lucky. And automatic car washes tend to use harsh detergents, rough brushes, and smear the grime from previous vehicles onto others. I was determined to do this right! I was devastated that there seemed to be pollen spots all over the hood the day after or purchased, but I figured that's the cost of living in Oregon. Even in October I guess. I did some research and went with Rugged Cross because of the great reviews here and the options offered. After reading about the different protective coatings Rugged Cross can do, I sent an inquiry through Yelp asking about pricing. Willie got back to me right away every time I sent a message and worked with us on our getting in when our schedule permitted. We got in the same week, and were running late due to extenuating circumstances, but Willie was very understanding and professional. His shop is behind his house in a residential neighborhood so don't be thrown off...just look for the small sign in the yard. Willie really seems to know his stuff. What I thought was just pollen turned out to be covering really bad scratches, some all the way through the paint! It looked like a hose or utility cord had been dropped and dragged across, leaving incremental gashes. We were devastated! Somehow, Willie managed to get the car spotless and buff out almost all of the scratches. We went with the three-year ceramic coating to provide maximum protection. It looked incredible! He gave us some tips on how to take care of the car and which car washes in town were the safest to use. He even sent me a follow-up message through Yelp reminding me to wait a week before washing it again. I actually started writing this review back in November of 2016, but apparently I never posted it (this was my first ever Yelp review). I am still impressed with how great the car looks and how well it has held up over the last year. It does have a few tiny scratches around the handles (maybe from keys or rings? not sure, but he did warn us that the coating wouldn't make it invincible...just help a lot). I can only imagine how bad the scratches would be without this coating...and it shines so beautifully after a good wash. Thanks for the great work and fantastic customer service! I will definitely be back when we need a touch-up and have recommended Rugged Cross to friends and co-workers. Top notch! read more

I arranged to drop my car off for an exterior detail with paint correction and to apply a 2 year ceramic coating. When I went to pick my car up it looked fantastic. Now what I believe sets him apart is aftercare instructions. He goes over proper wash techniques to keep the ceramic coating also he was happy to suggest a high quality wax I could get off amazon. I meant to write this review sooner but time got away from me. My Tundra turned a 100,000 miles a couple months ago, and I decided she deserved a little pampering so based on all the good reviews here on Yelp I took her to Willie for a full detail. Wow! She looks like a brand new truck. Okay maybe not 'brand new" but close. My inner wheel wells had been sprayed by white house paint from someone losing bucket of paint on the highway, Willie painted them black and was able to get rid of what few specs were on the body paint as well. I also want to say THANK YOU to Willie for supporting our Veterans and being one of a few businesses in the area to give a Military discount, actually in this case a free upgrade on a service. It was a pleasant surprise and I love the feel of the paint with the 1 Year sealant on it. I made one of my fellow Tundra driving friends come "feel" the paint on my truck. Ha ha. We highly recommend Rugged Cross. We just got our black Lexus IS 250 coated with the the 3 year ceramic coating and the interior sealed by William. It was a certified pre-owned but the dealer had missed mold in the back where the floor humps up because of the driveline. We hadn't noticed it because it looked very clean and it's a black interior but William had spotted it and extracted it before he stain guarded the interior. Let me start off by saying I am an out-of-towner working here in Salem. I purchased a vehicle that needed some exterior TLC. I came across Rugged Cross Auto Detail on Yelp. I have to say I agree with all the great reviews posted. Will explained the process he was going to use to rejuvenate my '16 Expedition XLT. He also recommended the best ways to keep it looking great after he was done. When I explained to him I had no way back to where I was staying he gave me a ride. That was so awesome in my opinion. He called me about 15min before he was done to let me know I could come pick it up. Let me tell you... it was like I was looking at a different vehicle!!!! Night and day difference. He explained there were some places that needed a bit more attention if you looked closely at the paint due to improper wash/ detailing procedures by the dealer, or previous owner. I could see what he was explaining to me, but this would not be noticeable to the average onlooker as he did such an amazing job correcting the flaws. I am very pleased with the service I received based on his quote. Not to mention he did the roof as well... I say this because when my wife had our '04 Expedition detailed the guy did not do the roof. I guess he figured no one would check; she didn't. But I did when she brought it home.
