I've been to several different car washes and this is by far the best one in Salem! I feel like I get a brand new car every time I leave there. I've only been a few times, but I definitely plan on going back and I'm trying to figure out how to get the best deal on their car wash service so I can go more often. read more

Overall great experience! My car was well cleaned and not scratched. I could tell it was going to be a good wash when it was being soaped/scrubbed thoroughly before entering! Missing star is for two things: - vacuum usage is not free, which at $17 a car wash it should be - location is tight (not their fault) in order to get back to vacuum you have to reenter lot with the line and dutch bros next door crams up getting back on the road All that being said I will return when I want to treat myself with not washing my own car! But its a bit steep price wise. read more

bought the lowest price express detail. Turns out it is more of an inside & outside wash. they didn't dry off the top of my cab and my painted wheels were dull as if the drying towel was greasy or dirty. read more

It's hard to find a car wash with good vacuums that won't suck all your money away. My car was in dire need of a cleaning, so I put my faith in my peers and drove out of my way to see what the hype was about. It was blazing hot and I hoped to knock this out quickly but was immediately thwarted when I saw that the machines only take quarters. Luckily there was a handy change machine on site. I had a five dollar bill and two ones and hoped that would be enough to cover it. I plugged the machine and got to it, feeding the machine as I shifted from the front to back. The hose reached pretty well, I just wish there were a smaller attachment to get in the crevices under the seat and along the hard to reach edges. When I was satisfied with the vacuum job I flipped the switch to shampooer mode and scrubbed up the console that looked a little worse for wear. If I had a little more time I'd have done the seats, but I'll be back another day. In all I was pleased with the results, the vacuums worked well, had good suction and lasted long enough to get the job done. I left with a clean car for about $6. Not bad at all! read more

One of the better car washes in Salem area. All mechanized so you'll need to do the final drying yourself to get what the blowers don't get but their price reflects it. Good value! read more

disappointed paying .25 for 1 minute on a vacuum. not cool!!! Normally monthly programs include free vacuum so I will never use them ever again. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this car wash, I asked for this kids name because he when't above and beyond to make sure my car was spotless! His name was Justin garland just wanted to give the kid kudos! read more

Customer service and car wash great! Staff were courteous and respectful. Looking forward to my next car wash

I had a nail in my tire and didn't know. They told me about the nail, and gave me a free car wash without saying anything! I didn't know until I looked at the receipt. The car wash itself was great quality! I highly recommend! read more

Again it doesn't take just a quarter to vacuum a car. Minimum of 10 minutes so that's an extra 2.50 to the cost. If you weren't so rude you would understand. Your competitor doesn't charge for vacuuming. I'll stick to Kaady car wash. read more

Stopped in to get my car cleaned after a couple of road trips. Service was fast and friendly. The prices for an exterior clean seemed reasonable at $11. I went around 8:30am on a Thursday and there was no wait. I have a bug deflector on my vehicle and it wasn't damaged or affected in any way. They handed out a wet wipe to clean your dash with and thoughtfully had a garbage can at the end of the car wash for it. Nice attention to detail. It was super convenient and my car looked great afterwards! read more

Got a quick wash for $11. Car is cleaner than it was, mostly. Gave me a disposable dash wipe to wipe my dash with, which beats a sharp stick. You need to bring quarters for the vacuum. read more

This place is a great place for a thorough, inexpensive car wash. Two tie-wearing guys use hand brushes to get the initial gunk off your car before you go through the auto wash. We were really pleased how clean our car was after the wash. The young guys in shirts and ties certainly add a touch of class to an otherwise mundane task! read more

The kids were mostly attentive and all but one was really hustling to prep the car which was covered with a week plus of bugs and bird spatter. (Just a hint - Teslas have four dashcams monitoring and if you're going to slack don't do it in front of Big Brother ;) So why a one star? You expect a car wash to do no harm to the car... my wife and I both glanced at each other when we heard and felt the wheel on the track. Yup. Nice gouge on the front driver side. I looked while driving out and decided to just chalk it up to thing happen, but others with more expensive factory wheels may want to take caution. And, of course, I do hope that the facility will examine the track and make adjustments to help future users. read more

Blue Elephant Car Wash - You can see the gouge in the wheel plus the removed paint (drivers front). It occurred early in the wash cycle with a thunk. - Car Wash Near Me - Salem, Oregon

Pre-wash by courteous staff. High quality wash. Very high-powered drying vents had my car nearly dry upon exit.

Stumbled onto this place and the group of young boys were very efficient and hard working. After they lather the car with soap, the machine does the rest and although the tree sap didn't come off the car (nor did I expect it to), the rest of the car was spotless. read more

I had a lot of bird poop on the hood of my car. I appreciate the workers taking the time to scrub it off before my car went into the car wash. There were no scratches or anything on my car after I left. I know I worry about that sometimes when I use a machine car wash. Would definitely come back! read more

We went around 6pm and had no one to wait for which was very nice! The staff was friendly and I was impressed by the results. This wash is unique for its care of the undercarriage of the car. Very impressed with the wash. The staff does a pre-wash with scrubs and could have taped down my back window's wiper, but it did a sufficient wash regardless. Will come back! Note* they do not accept coupons via phone; it must be printed out :( read more

awesome place! Everyone was friendly and patient with me as I struggled to get my Nissan Leaf into neutral. Eventually we figured it out, and they did a great job washing my car. One of the few places with actual people washing it! After running through the rollers, they wiped my headlights and mirrors. Thank you! read more

I wish I could give two ratings. The first would be a solid 5 stars for the service techs. Today was sweltering in Salem, 90+. These teens were dressed in perfect white shirts, black ties, and black pants. They were hot, but never stopped serving. Whoever owns this business ought to take notice that these young men and women were on point. The second rating would be a three star rating. As a service, the product was fine. My car was clean, but had water spots on the bumper and tailgate. I was surprised to see the vacuums were .25 per minute use. I spent $11 on a wash, and I estimate it would take about 8-10 minutes to vacuum. I have been to several washes where the vacuuming was free with any level of wash. Perhaps, owner should offer incentives in tokens for top two tier washes for free vacuuming. Overall, it's worth the hard working staff to return to Blue Elephant. If there was a way to tip my crew, I would have dropped $5 on them for their ethic. read more

A little tight entering wash and pretty busy when I tried, but no wonder: best auto wash I've tried in Salem. Tried the premium wash and it actually cleaned my tires and wheels and left a nice protective shine on black walls. read more

When I'm not out washing my own car or just don't have the time, this is the only place I trust with my car. There are several normal car washes in the Salem area, but this one seems to stand out from the rest. They brushes are gentle on the car and not abrasive like some can be. They seem to use quality products as well. They have a friendly staff and their prices are reasonably prices. The wash choices are great as well, enough to meet each person's car needs. I'd recommend (and have) to anyone. read more

I'm busy with a full schedule. I love coming to Blue Elephant because they do a great job and they make it quick and easy. Today, I vacuumed and then hopped in line for a wash. As I was ordering which wash I wanted, I noticed I left my child's carseat at the vacuums. The employee cashing everyone out had a line, but after he took care of everyone in-line (great customer service), he ran over and grabbed the booster seat and put it back in my car before it was my turn to pull in. So grateful for this carwash and their helpful employees! It truly is the little things. I noticed today they also give back to the community by partnering with an organization that helps the West Salem community. Awesome! I'll keep driving over the bridge for the great customer service! Plus, my kids LOVE the rainbow wash - better than the theater. read more

Excellent service They even brush the bumpers by hand to get started read more

Wasn't the best but certainly not the worst car wash that I have had. BUT not likely that I will return either.

I seriously never go anywhere else to get my car washed. I love the fact that i can rely on consistent customer service, quality washes and friendly attitudes. For $14 for a really decent commercial wash, you can't really beat it anywhere in salem! read more

Took my full-size pickup through Blue Elephant. The staff were very professional and friendly. I was a little concerned going to a car wash since I usually hand wash our vehicles. After the wash was complete (this only took minutes from arriving to leaving), I got out and looked over the vehicle and they did a splendid job. I purchased top of the line wash, and with a coupon from their website, only paid $10.00. What a bargin. I will certainly go back to Blue Elephant when my vehicles need a quick clean. read more

They always do such an amazing job and get my car sparkling clean no matter how dirty it is. I've taken a few different cars there and each one comes out clean and I say that because my current one has some odd designs where at other car washes it doesn't even get touched in those spots, but here it does. They take their brushes and clean those specific spots before it goes in. The pre spray down and scrub, windshield wiper plastic piece so the window gets clean under it, the rims. Every nook and cranny. I've been so disappointed at other car washes I won't even go to others anymore. I used to live in west Salem but moved to Keizer so I will drive from Keizer to west Salem just to get my car washed at this place because they do such a good job and the price is reasonable unlike other places that charge $30 and don't do as good of job. read more

It was a fine sunny morning this morning, so I thought I would give my daughter a nice little present by getting her car washed. I usually get my car washed at Kar 'l B. Kleen, but this morning there was a long line of cars waiting there, despite the relatively early hour (8:15), so I crossed the bridge into West Salem to patronize the Blue Elephant car wash. There was only one car waiting (bad sign?) a nice change from Kar 'l B. Kleen. The prices were also a nice change from Kar "l B. Kleen (about half). There were two human attendants bizarrely dressed for a car wash in business shirts, ties and dress pants (another bad sign?). This is the kind of car wash where you stay in your car and drive off as soon as you emerge from the equipment, so I didn't check the car until I got home. Hmm. Big disappointment. There were many areas where the dirt was unabated. The back of the car (actually a Honda Odyssey) seemed no cleaner than before the wash (see photo). I had bought the Blue Elephant's most expensive wash ($12.00), but the tires looked the same (no tire blackener), and of course they didn't do the interior, since this was a fast drive on/drive off kind of establishment. I guess I should have pulled over after emerging from the car wash and inspected the car, then insisted on a repeat wash. Bottom line: if you want a cheap 'quick and dirty' job (no pun intended), this is the place for you. If you want a thorough clean inside and out, plus tire treatment and a nice scent in the interior, put up with longer waits and higher prices at Kar 'l B. Kleen. read more

Totally forgot to use the $1 off from yelp....next time. I usually wash the car in Hillsboro but it needed done, so after church I stopped in. While Kaddy in Hillsboro has free vacuums and we paid for these (a quarter a minute), the wash was better. They prescrubbed the widows, fenders, bumpers, etc. Polite too. read more

Just went to get a car wash- extremely disappointed typically this establishment has wonderful service and attention to detail. However today my car was not scrubbed down prior to entering the car wash I had been hit by bird droppings and the staff didn't seem to want to even notice it- it was very visible on my windows! Then when the wash was complete no one came and wiped down the side mirrors or wipers....what's the point of paying 14.00 for something I could do at home!!! REFUND PLEASE!! read more
