It felt as though assumptions and biases were being made based clothing I was wearing or my perceived financial status or more. During the interaction, the associate made comments around Men's Wearhouse and similar retailers that they are not and that she doesn't like, which came across as dismissive and unnecessary. That said, I personally would not purchase from this store based on my experience with this associate. On a more positive note, I will note that they do offer a wide variety of selections and seem to do quality work. But overall, it's disappointing when quality customer service and professionalism are difficult to find in environments that should feel welcoming and inclusive.

Great selection of clothes and accessories in the western/folk/americana/cabin style. Denim, flannels, hats, jackets, etc. Very high quality goods, made to last and timeless. I am a man and there is no other store around that is like this. It's a true candy store for men (and women's clothes too). Great place to buy a special piece or a gift for someone that appreciates classic USA made apparel and accessories. Pocket knives, hats, wallets, watches, jewelry, shoes, backpacks and travel bags, books, so many extras as well. A one of a kind shop that harkens back to the golden age of early American style that always is in style and lasts generations. I can tell that everything I buy here will last a long time and is a worthy investment. I can't recommend this store enough. Feels like you're walking into a warm, cozy hotel lobby of a log cabin in the woods and the service is just as warm and inviting. Love Cave & Post!

The whole experience was exactly what you hope for in a western store: helpful, knowledgeable, and zero pressure. The staff took their time with the hat and made sure it looked right instead of rushing through it. They were also great with the boots, helping me figure out what size actually worked for me across different styles and brands. That part matters because cowboy boot sizing can feel like it was invented by someone who wanted to make online shopping impossible. What I appreciated most was that they weren't pushy. They clearly knew their stuff, explained the differences, and seemed to genuinely enjoy helping me find the right fit. Overall, great local spot if you need hat work, boots, or just want guidance from people who actually understand western wear.

When he visited me recently, his Sperry Top-Siders were worn nearly clean through. The heels were cracked and the soles were really thin at the balls of his feet. I Yelped for some nearby stores and found Casual Male XL on Baseline, on the south side of the road near Gilbert Road. The guy who works there greeted us when we walked in. The company website, although not specific to this store, led me to believe there'd be a sizable shoe selection--there really isn't at this particular store. Dad really needed a new pair of shoes...he never complains about anything and wouldn't buy himself new shoes unless his foot fell through the bottom, so I was a bit disappointed because I wanted to get him a new pair. However, we did find a pair of Deer Stag shoes in the top-sider model. He tried them on and loved them. And they were on sale! In addition to shoes, they have jeans, slacks, T-shirts, dress shirts, underwear, polos, and suits. I didn't buy any of those items (yet) but I'll be back.

We stopped by Shirts 'n' Things in Mesa, and this place is pretty cool! The best way I can describe…read moreit is like a massive, much better version of Hot Topic, but geared more toward people who are actually into rock, heavy metal, gothic clothing, and that whole style. First off, this store is huge, and I don't think I've ever seen so many graphic tees in one place in my entire life. Seriously, the amount of shirts they have is insane! If there's a rock or heavy metal band you like, there's a pretty good chance they have a shirt for it. They also have tons of other clothing, studded accessories, and all sorts of things that fit that rock and gothic style. They also have a really good selection of horror movie merchandise. We saw stuff from Terrifier, Scream, Friday the 13th, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and plenty of other horror-related items. Beyond the clothing, they have some really cool décor, skulls, insect-themed decorations, and all sorts of unique things you probably aren't going to find at your typical retail store. One thing that stood out to me was the quality of everything. Nothing really looked cheap or chintzy. A lot of the merchandise seemed well made, and you could tell this wasn't just a store full of cheap novelty items. The couple of employees we crossed paths with were really nice and offered to help if we needed anything, which was appreciated. The store itself is packed with merchandise, but that's also part of what makes it fun to walk around and explore. My only minor complaint would be the prices. They're a little on the higher side, but nothing outrageous. You're definitely paying a bit of a small specialty shop premium compared to something you'd pick up at Walmart, but the selection and quality seem to make up for that. Overall, this is a really cool store, even if you're just browsing. If you're into rock, heavy metal, horror movies, or gothic-style clothing and décor, this is definitely a place worth checking out. The selection alone makes it worth a visit!
