The coach was quick and to the point with rules and safety instructions. He demonstrated how to throw an axe and then let us at it! We teamed up and played the trivia game. You had six darts to hit targets for different points then get a multiplier if you get the trivia question correct. If you get it wrong, you lose all your points. You can keep your points and say no answer. The questions were pretty good but they might not have lots of questions stored because we had some repeats. They have arcades with old-school games. They also offer axe throwing and something else. It seems like a cool place to hang out on the weekends.

This was our first time visiting Corky's, and from the moment we walked in, the hostess made us feel so welcome. Our two boys spent about 30 minutes playing the arcade games and had an absolute blast, which made the visit even more enjoyable for us. The bartender was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. My family of 4 will definitely be back! Reservations are required and you must sign a waiver form before participating in the activity. The waiver is good for one year! We came on Friday night and a great way to start the weekend! The owner is a great guy. He's very patient and provides great tips in how to position yourself to throw the axe. It's a lot harder than you think! He shares with us a game. Honestly, I wasn't interested in the game and wanted to throw axes, but my husband kept track for both of us. A timer was given so you'll know when your time is up. We made a reservation for an hour and it goes by quickly. If you're looking for a team bonding experience, then look no further! This is a great place!

There's a sign you can take a pic with when you hit a bullseye that reads "My First Bullseye". You can bring your own beer and wine and food - that's a plus! The business wasn't that big and parking might be tough if it's busy downtown, but it's definitely worth it. Going with a group is fun, but throwing axes in a lane all to yourself sounds nice too!

Also if you by a drink at the bar you also pay guaranteed gratuity even though I had to wait for her to come to the bar. The drinks were tasty though so I will give them that. Now I will call out that the facility was not busy at all and the staff was keeping themselves entertained but it made it frustrating to have to get someone's attention to ask a question or to get help. The attendant who assisted us, Chaz was cool and set up on our games and was pretty consistent at being available. We played 4 games and we had about 30 minutes at each section. We started with darts and had a blast. Next we played golf. We did the putt putt course which was fun but 30 minutes was not enough time to get through the whole course. Then we did soccer. My friend did great but it was not for my daughter or I. Finally we threw axes. I enjoyed it but my daughter was over it. They also offer pool, dodgeball, and a batting cage. I will come back and I'll bring husband because he is very competitive.

Let me preface this with I had a Groupon but none the less, we were still paying customers. When I…read morewent to the counter and let the guy know I was using a Groupon he seemed confused and had to go get someone else who in turn let me know that there was a gratuity fee that still had to be paid. That was fine, however I couldn't do it all in one transaction. Another thing I didn't care for was the place was EMPTY, I think there was two other people in the place but we had to state what we wanted to play right then and there and I wasn't sure what all the place had to offer. After getting that taken care of, the attendant took us to darts to get started and when we finished the game we weren't sure what to do next (apparently you play until that block of time is up). When it was time to go to the next game, we had to go look for an attendant as they were playing games. There was no enthusiasm in showing us how to set up for the golf or how to play, basically you are on your own. We decided we wanted something to drink, but had to find the bartender who was playing golf (once again, automatic gratuity) and seemed frustrated that she had to stop playing to work. We did the soccer and the ax throwing and was done. I can say with a group a friends for an alternative outing or even a competitive date night this could be something to do, however it was "meh" for me. Can check it off the been there done that list.
