I came here with my friend and kid. We got coupons on Groupon but you still have to pay taxes and gratuity. Also if you by a drink at the bar you also pay guaranteed gratuity even though I had to wait for her to come to the bar. The drinks were tasty though so I will give them that. Now I will call out that the facility was not busy at all and the staff was keeping themselves entertained but it made it frustrating to have to get someone's attention to ask a question or to get help. The attendant who assisted us, Chaz was cool and set up on our games and was pretty consistent at being available. We played 4 games and we had about 30 minutes at each section. We started with darts and had a blast. Next we played golf. We did the putt putt course which was fun but 30 minutes was not enough time to get through the whole course. Then we did soccer. My friend did great but it was not for my daughter or I. Finally we threw axes. I enjoyed it but my daughter was over it. They also offer pool, dodgeball, and a batting cage. Let me preface this with I had a Groupon but none the less, we were still paying customers. When I went to the counter and let the guy know I was using a Groupon he seemed confused and had to go get someone else who in turn let me know that there was a gratuity fee that still had to be paid. That was fine, however I couldn't do it all in one transaction. Another thing I didn't care for was the place was EMPTY, I think there was two other people in the place but we had to state what we wanted to play right then and there and I wasn't sure what all the place had to offer. After getting that taken care of, the attendant took us to darts to get started and when we finished the game we weren't sure what to do next (apparently you play until that block of time is up). When it was time to go to the next game, we had to go look for an attendant as they were playing games. There was no enthusiasm in showing us how to set up for the golf or how to play, basically you are on your own. We decided we wanted something to drink, but had to find the bartender who was playing golf (once again, automatic gratuity) and seemed frustrated that she had to stop playing to work. We did the soccer and the ax throwing and was done. I can say with a group a friends for an alternative outing or even a competitive date night this could be something to do, however it was "meh" for me. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do not waste your money. This place has potential with the concept but is HORRIBLY managed. For $25 with 20% each person you get to choose 4 games (darts, pool, foot bowling, golf, baseball, and axe throwing, soccer). The 20% is for your "bay guide" but you probably won't have one. It took us about 25mins just to get checked in and the manager showed no sympathy. Everyone was getting annoyed and a lot of people just left. The darts are super close to other groups. I want to start off by saying this place is an amazing concept & if managed properly has true potential! Unfortunately as it is today is not safe. We did not make a reservation because I had read stuff online that it's cheaper to not make reservation so we paid $25/pp at the door. They organized out time there. Since we were a group of 4 we should've done an hour at each station but we asked for 30 minutes because we didn't want to be there for 4 hours. Started off with the darts. The games were a lot of fun but the game glitched & we had to start over. The stalls are also very close together so it's a bit awkward moving around. Service at the darts was very good! Very attentive. Then we moved to golf. Keep in mind your sessions start immediately after one ends so if you take a while to get over there, it's eating up your time & since our attendant had to set us up, we missed out on about 10 minutes. That was fine with me though because I hated this stall. We were only given putters & they seemed like kids sizes. When we got to the axe throwing this is really where it's not safe. They didn't give any safety instructions or ask us if we had even thrown axes before. People around us had no idea what they were doing. Wildly dangerous. Worst part was there was water at the end of stall. One time my axe fell into the puddle & it smelled of straight sewage. I immediately washed my hands & stopped playing. They have leaking pipes & I guarantee that's not just water... it's sewage... The last game stall was batting. Our attendant didn't come set us up for 5-10 minutes. She had to clean the game before we could use it. We asked if we had to wear helmets because they weren't cleaned & she said "no, you signed a waiver." Then we never saw her again. We ran out of balls so we had to figure out how to turn off the machine & reload. It was really dangerous. Darts was the only station we actually got attention from an employee after they briefly set us up. The place was extremely dirty & smelled. They say it's kid friendly but really it's just a bar for adults that has adult games. I'd love to see this place turn it around & be great but as is, it's a safety hazard! read more

Check in was very confusing. Everything seemed very unorganized. My fiancé called and asked if we could come early. We were told that we could. We arrived and were told that we had to wait until our reservation. That was fine but we were upset that we were told that we could come early. The price did not equate to service nor food. We had to wait on our waiter in between games (which wastes the time that you pay to play). Our waiter also told us to reload the baseballs ourselves but we did not know that until we had to wait for him to come back and then we were told that we had to reload them. His exact words "It would make my life and yours easier if you reload them." We didn't mind reloading them but it's the fact that we wasted time waiting for him to come fix the game and then proceed to tell us how to reload the baseballs. Also, online it says you can play different games (per website and tic toc). We were told that we had to pay extra to play another game. So we basically paid $75 to only play baseball. Listen, I won't even hold you. I came here to write this review about the catfish! It's single handedly worth the 5 starts. I've been in Dallas searching for good catfish for YEARSSS! And I finally found it here! Shoutouts to the chef tonight, he was from Michigan and the entire plater was fire! We also had a great time! Friendly staff, thank you to Vince, Wick, Macho and team. iCompete definitely has some great potential to be a place I visit often for group activities. It is a pretty convenient location in the mall so there is abundant parking and the entrance is right by the door. I haven't had the food, but the drinks are pretty solid and the bartender gives a nice ratio in the cocktails. Definitely a place you can have a great time in! The tap is nice as well, but wish there were some more unique options. The only complaints I have is that it is super warm inside - when we were in the axe throwing area it was very hot that we were excited to leave to a different area. The dart area was cooler as it was in a bigger area, but we still didn't fully cool down from there. Another thing is with the ace throwing - the boards are kind of worn out so it's really hard to nail one in there as often as if you went to a legit axe throwing place. Also, the system seemed kind of unorganized. Once you finish your activity, you have to move on and find your waiter to help you set up the next section - whereas some places will have it set up for your arrival according to the time. Obviously it is a hard system to nail, but if things could be a bit more seamless and less confusing I would definitely come more often. The darts was really the highlight of the night - the board is equipped with a ton of mini games to play that are super fun for groups! I would come here mainly for the darts. Our group had some appetizers just simple foods so eat before you come or go eat afterwards. Our group had drinks from bar. My niece said hers was strong. An example of price was a water bottle cost $4. It's ghetto Costco brand water bottles. So just so yall know Costco sales the 40 pack of water bottles for $3.99. So big up charge! I noted the beer wall. I didn't use but noted several on one side of wall said out of keg. Had a glass broken accident my niece had gone to tell someone and an employee still came to look even after she told her the kind of accident. The Darts was the funnest, attendant was close rounded a few times. We had a couple of broken darts and they replaced it quickly. It allows you to do a selfie of self when start or choose an avatar to use through the games. Golf- not enough clubs, only little kid drivers and the rest were irons and wedges. They let us know there was kids at another area so they had to split the clubs. They don't have clubs for left handed people. Incident when asked for help Axe throwing well it definitely could be safer but I've never gone axe throwing. The computer a lot of times does let recognize the hit so need to hit the mouse to click on the score and confirm then you move into next player. We were told when setting us up it may happens sometimes where you gotta click but it was most of our hits. Couple of workers seem to give explanation and seemed friendly. Other employees acted like just doing the job. Batting area was kinda fun. They have Lysol to spray the shared helmets away. They only have metal bats. The sensor when go to step on it have to be sure step on and a lil lag time then ball shoots. Some of us used the slow speed and that didn't seem like a good setting. The regular speed a couple of us had luck hitting the balls. The balls do run out so we got attendant attention and came to fill it up. That happened a few times while there. At one point the scoring or sensor stopped counting any hits or fouls so after that it wasn't anymore fun. We made attendant aware of the it not keeping score he came back and told his supervisor couldn't come fix it because he was busy. So like I said after that we were ok we're ready to do. This sounds crazy but the mom in me, let's say someone put them on that had lice prior to us using the helmets we would be screwed. Don't waste your time at this place. The photos look really fun and it has a lot of potential- but it is bad. It is in basically an abandoned mall next to a very loud what seems to be club/lounge? The golf simulator was slow and they had hardly any clubs. They had no left handed clubs if needed. The axe throwing was way too close together and none of the axes stick on the wall because they're too dull and the wood is broken. Also, the worker at axe throwing was just sitting on her phone with AirPods in the entire time. The baseball had no balls loaded into it, so it basically didn't work. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! This is not even near worth the money or time for absolutely horrible service and experience overall. Who is running this place? How are they still open? The golf was broken, the baseball was broken, and the service was absolutely terrible. The "assistant GM" was beyond rude and combative with my group of 4 individuals over a mistake her employee made. NEVER in my life have I been treated so poorly than I was last night at iCompete. We pre paid for our entire experience, almost $150, and were very excited when we arrived. We have not been here before and are from out of town. We walked in and were met by an employee asking us what we needed to which we we replied we were ready for golf and we're right on time. As others have noted, it is confusing when you first walk in on what to do. The employee took us to golf and, though it was initially broken and we had to get it fixed, we were fine losing a few minutes of time and had fun. We then went to baseball. We were just enjoying our date night together having laughs and talking sports when we were interrupted At this point, we were met by an extremely rude manager telling us we needed to leave immediately!! Why? Because of her error in double booking and accusing us of not checking in, when the employee took us and set us all up etc. not a question nor an explanation, simply a VERY combative "you all need to leave right now or I'm calling security" right off the bat. WHAT?!? This "manager" then decided to double down on kicking us out and insulting us saying we didn't look like we could be there anyways (?) while we did not get the services we paid for and we're subsequently kicked out (she was going to "call security") with food and drinks still on the table. This was a couples night out and completely ruined the night. We paid over 200$ total there and missed out on over an hour of prepaid time (which we have all receipts for) not over conduct... but because of their own mistake?? And leaving with food and drinks on the table was the cherry on top. This had so much potential but completely missed the mark. To start, my boyfriend and I walked into I-compete and stood at the front for a few mins before being greeted. The guy simply told us to fill out the waiver and then dipped. It was our first time there so we had no clue what to do or where to go next. Then, we noticed the gaming counter towards the middle of the room. It was even more downhill from here. The guy at the corner was extremely rude. My boyfriend let him know it's our first time here and just wanted to know how game play works. He said "it's on the board." Zero explanation. Then, we just named a few to try, he said "why not get the package? It's in the bold letters at the top." It wasn't to be helpful, it was said in a sarcastic way to make it seem like we were supposed to know how everything works. The game package we ended up doing was $25 per person to play darts, golf, axe throwing, and baseball. The server at the darts station was decent along with the server at golf and baseball but, they were still very absent. Without getting too lengthy, it just seems like the employees hated their job and there's no reason for them to actually do that job even if it's the bare minimum. This place really has great potential but I won't return based on the customer service alone. Plus, our axe throwing lane didn't work at all. We had two bays for darts reserved and had to wait, which was no big deal until we got to our next game which was baseball. We waited again, which was also no big deal but then they kicked us off the game 15 minutes early because they said someone had a reservation! WE HAD A RESERVATION THAT WAS MADE THE DAY BEFORE! But because groups in front of us were off on time, they didn't allow us the time we were paying for. They also still had us pay full price and would not give us any refund or discount. They had one bartender on a Friday night and it took quite some time to get drinks. We wanted to order chicken tacos that were on the menu but they didn't have any. We ordered chicken quesadillas but they definitely weren't chicken. It was also very difficult getting them to split the check. None of the workers seemed to be on the same page at all and the manager was very rude to our group and couldn't care less about our group getting screwed out of game time due to their poor time management with the other groups. I recommended this place to sev people after my first visit.
