I wish I could rate this place a zero but you need to provide a rating to post for Yelp. We have a dishwasher from here and within less than six months it burned out. We got the appliance as a package deal with our new builder home. I tried to get it replaced because a dishwasher should not die on you that soon of having it. I was willing to pay for the upgrade etc. I tried to call the sales rep who is in charge of this (John Anderson) and he was very unprofessional and rude. He did not return my call initially. I called a second time and left a message - he texted me instead. In his messages he was "in meetings all morning and could only text". He wrote me paragraphs and was rude the entire time and did not want to help me at all in any way. I tried to call the store and every manager or supervisor or anything was not in for whatever reason. If I was a paying customer please beware and do not shop here. They sell you faulty appliances and then do. Nothing to help you. I've lived in brand new homes my entire life and never had issues within six months with appliances. Costco would never treat (I have experience with their appliances as well) this way. They also don't sell faulty appliances to begin with and steal your money. The least they could do is be nice to their customers. Avoid this location and especially this sales rep. read more

I need to stop shopping at Fred's and would encourage everyone else to stop, as well. Invariably, we go in with high hopes that buying locally will be a better experience than the big box stores but it is always exponentially worse. Just about everything we've bought has comes in damaged and Fred's ALWAYS blames the manufacturer for putting it in the box that way. When it comes time for making it right, they give a list of terrible options. Our most recent purchase was a GE gas range not super high end but still over $3K which is a big deal to us! This one came in with quite a ding in the corner and the only option was to either accept it with a few dollars "damage credit", wait 6-8 more weeks for a service tech to come out, or 6-8 weeks for them to order a new one. Chances are that it's merely cosmetic BUT an impact great enough to cause that bug if a dent COULD affect performance and they won't stand behind it. Worst part is that Rick and JT made it seem like I was the bad guy for asking them to make it right!! After purchasing a new construction home through Monogram in December 2023, equipped with LG appliances, our dishwasher after 4 uses went out. The builder informed Fred's appliances of the service repaired required and after 2 weeks they finally contacted us to set up an appointment for repair. It was at this time we realized Fred's Appliance has to have the WORST service department ever. No consideration for customers time and the fact that people have jobs and can not be available in a two hour timeframe. Not flexible it's their way or you just won't get your pile of defective goods fixed that they've sold you. Home Depot, Lowes and Best Buy deserve your business. They have great service and stand behind what they sell. read more

They do however have a great sales pitch, as we were looking for high end appliances not offered buy any local companies we could find. Fast forward 2 years and 40k later. I bought all new appliances microwave, stacked washer/dryer, and refrigerator. When they delivered the delivery guys were to lazy to take doors off refrigerator to get into home. I had to run out and purchase the exact same refrigerator from our local Lowes. Lowes matched the price and gave me another discount so it was actually cheaper. When the other appliances were delivered by Fred's they scratched up/gouged my walls in my new home. I was not happy at all with service. Fast forward 1 year later the washer quit working wouldn't turn on. It took 2 1/2 weeks for them to come out and diagnose. Another 2 weeks later I called to get status parts just came in- yeah sure. Now they cannot come out for another month to repair. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM FREDS AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND. I will stick with getting any appliances from my local Lowes. Bought a dishwasher. We were not told it doesn't have a drying element at purchase. We saw a picture on a computer screen in store of it. But couldn't see the inside very good. Gentlemen that's helped us never told us either. Called and spoke with manager and he wouldn't take it back. We just wanted to upgrade to something else. Absolute horrible customer service. Right before thanksgiving my GE dishwasher quit working after less than three years which, I don't blame on them as it was control board failure, but the soonest they could get a tech out for the warranty repair was December 26th. I waited the month to only be told the tech called out sick that day and I was now bumped to January 10th. Had to take a day off from work for the tech to look at it for 15mins and order the part. Part arrived January 17th but I now have to wait till February 22nd to have it installed. Three months with no working dishwasher and having to continually take time off from work for them to just push it out and I paid extra for the warranty. If you are buying appliances do not buy from them they can't support the product they sell or even treat their customers with respect. read more

This fiasco started when I ordered online. I entered the credit info at the end. A week later they told me 2/3 items would be a wait. I said ok. My card already has a $3200 hold on it. This showroom has a better selection than most stores. The prices are outrageous though. I went there to buy a fridge and the salesman took over 3 weeks to give me a price, then quoted me a price significantly higher than the price on their website. This was the first red flag. I then did some shopping around and found the exact fridge for cheaper at Home Depot (plus free delivery and installation) and asked Fred's to price-match and they acted outraged that I would even ask and said they didn't need my sale. As a long time customer, we tried to avoid this review, but enough is enough. Fred's has become the most unreliable service provider in every area of their business. After purchasing a new Cafe refrigerator along with new washer/ dryer, our issues began at delivery & set up. Initially this was due to their lack reading the purchase order to bring all parts and pieces with them. Once we finally had them, we immediately had issues with the refrigerator and needed follow up service. From there, between service schedulers who never follow up once we were assigned to one, tech's that don't order correct parts, being put at the end of the service line when it is Fred's tech's error's, to being told we were again moved back due to tech being out ill and then finally arriving 2 months later but failing to check parts we need for correctness/ not broken when they finally do arrive, we had enough. The three stooge's or Keystone cops could do better. Find another appliance company. Fred's management does not care. Along the way we talked to neighbors, friends and family about our frustrations to which several others stated they have had the same experience. Our last tech actually stated, we get this all the time but nothing will change unless people start complaining. That is a pretty big statement. read more

I never write reviews but I had to for this company. Our sales experience was fine, what was not fine is Our customer service experience with getting our washer and dryer fixed through warranty. It took four days for them to come out. He found the issue and couldn't replace the part that day even though he said they keep the part on hand. He says it will be another 4-9 days before he can come back. I called to get a specific time frame and they hadn't even ordered the part (this was 4 days after the initial visit). It seems like they have one service guy for Spokane. I will never buy from Fred's again for the sole reason they're service department sucks. It shouldn't take up to three weeks to get an appliance fixed. read more

I bought a refrigerator and washer/dryer from Fred's several months ago. They work well enough, but they didn't have the handle on the freezer drawer. I've checked with them several times since, with no luck. Today was my fourth try. I'll install the handle myself if they'll just give it to me --- I've already paid for it, after all. They could have told me my fridge was under warranty for the parts and labor but instead quoted me full price. Techs are aware that LG is known for bad compressors. And if it's 5 years or less old parts and labor are both covered. And if older than 5 years compressor part is covered but labor is not. Just felt they should have been more honest. Sold me a $3,000+ refrigerator knowing the ice machine has a documented history of freezing up and needing repair. My bad for not doing more investigating on the product, but I should be able to trust the salesperson is relaying all pertinent information. Granted it's been 3 years, but when I showed up asking for them to repair it at no charge to make it right (even though we both know it'll happen again), especially since we have purchased multiple appliances from them in the last 4 years AND because I send a lot of business their way I was told no. Upon re-iterating again that they sold me this product with full knowledge of the problem and that it is much easier to keep a customer than to find a new one, I was told they are only willing to take care of reasonable customers. Say what? Bottom line: Fred's is great ... until you have a problem, and then somehow it'll be your fault for them not taking care of you. read more

First, and most importantly, I write this review to spare you, the consumer, from having to deal with a customer service department which excels in ensuring that, when a customer is forced to call the service department, when the call ends, the customer wishes they had bought their appliances elsewhere. Second, when you are told you will receive a call back, do not expect one. How does a company, which provides enthusiastic sales people, and yet zero professional after-sale customer-service, stay in business? That is a great question. The only training class freds must hold for its after-sale customer-service is on how to screen calls when wanting to talk with senior management, and in the art of obfuscation. The other training class held by freds is on how to not give any understanding whatsoever when a customer has been waiting a month for a part, and calls to express their frustration. What freds fails to understand is that there are competitors for the same products - competitors who will offer the same, if not better pricing, and which certainly could not possibly offer worse after-sale service. I urge the reader to disregard the small number of "5-star" reviews, and trust the one-stars. They are the truth. Had we taken the time to read said reviews, we would have purchased our appliances from Ferguson, BestBuy or Costco. When having service on an appliance performed, and parts ordered, do not take it on faith that the parts have been ordered. Do yourself a favor, and call the appliance manufacturer's parts department to see if an order has in fact been placed. And lastly, fellow consumers, you may be thinking that, "Oh, this guy's a small time appliance buyer, who's had one bad experience.". Unfortunately that is not the case. Previous service calls have resulted in freds technicians dropping parts on our hardwood floors, wrong parts ordered, furthering delays to repairs on Bosch built-in oven and microwave. Salesman was not knowledgeable (sold me w&d that didn't fit), delivery was horrible (got delayed from Saturday to 2+ weeks later because they accidentally put my stuff on a truck to CDA??), installation kids were lazy and rude (ruined my tile, left me with a dented refrigerator and holes where they switched the sides of how it opened, etc), and the customer service after the sale was a bad joke (10+ phone calls, 15+ e-mails). I would not recommend purchasing anything at Freds Appliance. We recently purchased a new home and were told that Freds Appliance had a discount agreement with the builder so it was in our best interest to shop there. We purchased a suite of appliances including a gas range we were very specific that we did not want a double oven gas range. Since we were out of town during the construction of the house a double oven unit was delivered and installed. We contacted Freds as soon as we discovered the error but were told that the unit was now considered used. The store manager refused to replace it. I believe this is a scam and advise buyers in my situation to purchase elsewhere. read more

Over promise (sales sales sales), under-deliver. Do not believe a word they say as far as when your appliance will be in. They will more than happily sell you someone else's ready order, just to get you to buy, and then likely sell the remainder of your newly available order to the next buyer. It is a vicious cycle of stringing you along and following through with ZERO of their commitments. We came in to find a washer and dryer set that could be picked up or delivered in a week or two. We did not buy at other places we went, because the arrival would be late August, and we needed it sooner. Here we still are, almost three weeks later, 31 Aug, and no dryer and no timeline as to when. The salesperson who sold us the set and committed to having it in within a week or two now tells us he doesn't have a "magic wand", and that it could be next week or the week after or the week after that. He must have misplaced that magic wand, since he certainly had one to promise us a mid-August arrival when we were paying. Now that we've paid, it is on to the next sale. Sale sale sale. Take my advice, do not trust this company or its magic bean (BS) filled sales team. read more

Bought beautiful stove and microwave and dishwasher, spent a lot. Sales service was good, delivered without a hitch. Upon Install, range glass door was shattered. Had Paid $800 for extended warranty. Took 2+ months for repair. Then propane was hooked up. Middle burner no gas output. Freds repair appointments are 3+ months out. Not super happy about that. Called manufacturer since unit is brand new. They were able to schedule within a month. Good thing i didn't buy a fridge from them... read more

I had a bad experience with the Fred's service department. Shortly after purchasing a range and a freezer, I contacted Fred's to report defects in both. A repairman came out to repair the items, but said he had the wrong parts. This happened three more times. I had to call each time to ask them to come out again. It has been over a year since I first called them, and they still haven't fixed the items. The last time I called, the person said they ordered the parts, but their system does not tell them if the parts arrive. So they wait until the customer calls to complain before they check for the parts. This is a bad system. Fred's does a nice job selling you products, but drags their feet when called on to fix defects. Fred's needs to stand behind its products. read more

The sales part was ok. Sort of reminds of a used car lot. I wont ever purchase anything ever again from them. Bought a brand new fridge for our newly built home. The fridge was delivered and did not cool. It was also dented. Tried everything they suggested. The service department is horrible. Finally called the salesman who sold us the fridge. Cant get another one for over a week. When I expressed discontent with purchasing a brand new refrigerator for 2000 dollars that does not work the reply was, "oh well yes this does happen, more than you think even with 5000 dollar ones". Bought a brand new refrigerator and it has been out of commission for over 2 months. Fred's technician that came did not have the proper tools and/equipment to do the service. He mentioned that a friend had his tools. Then he guesses on what "may" be the problem and said the part may take another! 4-6 weeks! Called customer service and there was no care or reslution; only for us to call them back after the weekend to see if the part was ordered and to check on the ETA. We have purchased a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and gas range at Fred's Appliance over the last 12 mos and have been impressed with their selection and price point. The Fred's in-house delivery crew delivered our appliance's in a timely manner but the thing that I would recommend is that Fred's educated their delivery crew on how to properly wear their shoe coverings/booties --the whole point of covering your shoes is so that they don't stomp water, dirt and debris a customer's home...they put on their professional shoe coverings and then proceeded to wear them OUTSIDE and then came back into the home tracking in the rain/snow/debris getting our floors and carpet soaking wet--not damp but legit puddles. I walked into Fred's applicants about 18 months ago looking to replace all of my kitchen appliances back to Kitchenaid, which I had bought in a previous house after much research. The salesman at Fred's asked why I want Kitchenaid and I explained that I was a baker and was very happy with Kitchenaid. I have also had Dacor and thought Kitchenaid was just as good for baking. He gave me several reasons why I should buy the GE Cafe as their oven was superior for baking. I trusted him and needed to get a replacement. When the installers came they told me never to use the self clean oven feature as that was very high on their repair list!??? The oven has never been level either, and I have asked them to fix this on their two service calls for this oven. This oven is consistently off by 25 degrees in various spaces in the oven. It does not hold temp consistently. I have had to have it serviced TWICE - I have never had to have an oven serviced and I am 65 years old and always have been a baker! All I can say is Fred's led me wrong all in the name of the sales person earning a higher commission. They have lost my trust and I will NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THIS COMPANY. IT APPEARS THEY PUT THEIR OWN INTEREST AHEAD OF THE LONG TIME CUSTOMER. read more

If I could give negative two stars, that would be the rating for Fred's on Monroe St. Brandon was on the phone with us to try to get something done on a brand new dryer (Speed Queen) that was delivered to us, but was defective on arrival. Brandon would not listen to either of us, consistently talked over us.....I mean to the point of us shouting BRANDON! Into the phone...and he kept right on talking. Just stupid customer service. Fred's refused to replace $1,000+ dryer that was defective when they brought it in the door, and insisted on a service call/repair situation....NOT happy, as we've spent many more $1,000's of dollar over the years at Fred's, and this was a real opportunity for them to step up and do the right thing.....FAIL! Horrific service. Have had a broken refrigerator for almost a year and have had multiple appointments. Techs have no-showed and we have been rescheduled multiple times due to all kinds of excuses (ordered wrong part, tech sick, etc). When they have showed up 4-5 times to come to diagnose and fix the problem it still doesn't work. the tech leaves before confirming the problem is resolved. Recently called to ask if we could get our most recent reschedule moved up since we have been working to get this problem resolved for almost a full year and was told no and they insinuated my wife was lying about the reschedule and our new appointment time was what they had originally scheduled weeks ago. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a scam where they are intentionally not fixing the issue to collect payment from the manufacturer for multiple warrantee calls or something. My wife and I bought a GE gas range from Fred's Appliance. After six months the bake oven quit working properly. We contacted Fred's appliance multiple times about it. It went over two months before they finally sent a service guy out to fix it. The service guy replace some parts and left but still did not fix the problem. We contacted them right away and six weeks later the service guy came out again and replaced another part and now the oven is worse than ever. I have contacted them multiple times over the last three weeks and we still have not heard back from them. If it were possible I'd give their customer service is -5 star. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of horrible service. I will never again by anything from Fred's Appliance. read more

STOP - Do not do business here. I ordered kitchen appliances including high end double oven with ventilation hood, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave oven. Items were delivered to my new construction property late this summer. My installer mounted the hood over the range when damage (several dents) were noticed. Called my representative at Fred's and he stated he would get another hood. He advised me that he had another one and in the best interest of time I would make the 2 hour drive to exchange it at the store. When we walked into their shipping & receiving area I couldn't believe what I saw. The replacement hood looked like it had been drug behind the shipping truck, box was destroyed and needless to say it was damaged. I left with a promise to get another hood ordered/delivered ASAP. My plumber now had installed the dishwasher which it too had a dent in the stainless steel panel. Called my representative again and he had sent another panel which I was supposed to install however when it arrived I could tell before opening the box it too was damaged. Time to order another one. I finally received the third hood delivered to my residence, I let the delivery team know that I had two previous ones that were damaged and before they took it off the truck to inspect you, well you guessed it - number three was damaged as well. The third dishwasher panel finally arrived and I installed it even though it has a small barely noticeable dimple in it just below the handle. (I just gave up on trying again) At the time of this posting I still haven't received a hood that is undamaged several months later. Customer service and responding in a timely manner along with delivering in good faith with Fred's Appliances is one great big FAILURE. How they are in business baffles me. On a side note I had three other appliances delivered by Home Depot promptly and no damage to any of the pieces. Fred's Appliances took my money and haven't delivered the goods move on from this business and buy elsewhere. read more
