During the installation, the technician, Bill, asked me to turn off the hot water at the water heater because, according to him, he could not shut off the water at the valve under the sink. What was not explained to me was that the valve had apparently broken while he was attempting to shut it off. Additionally, the new power cord for the new dishwasher was also not used. I expect an installation technician to clearly communicate any problems, damage, or special instructions involving a new appliance. Unfortunately, that did not happen in my case. The lack of communication left me with additional unnecessary costs. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company.

He fixed the latch and the door would finally close, but it wouldn't turn on. He confirmed it was the switch that tells the washer to start, so he ordered it and was back as soon as he got the part and fixed the problem. The repair was MUCH less than replacing! He then serviced my slide-in range boiler box not working. This required removing the back panel and pulling the range out. Brenden Jacobs of App Tech (208-763-4204) is fantastic! He's a one-man shop, but was available to come the next day. He doubted the original "diagnosis" of a bad compressor (which would've pretty much meant we buy a new fridge!) and suggested the starter might've been bad instead. He ordered the part and came back a day-and-a-half later. Boom! He was right on. It was just a bit over $200 for diagnosis, part and labor. Much better than the cost of a new fridge! I really got the impression that he digs a little deeper than some techs might. It was a super great experience. Brenden is thorough, courteous, and on time, too. You won't go wrong with App Tech!
