Sergei arrived on time, pleasant and in my opinion honest. He checked my wash machine, fixed what he could, stated he was sure it was the transmission going out, would cost over $500 to fix it. I asked what he would do, he said he would consider getting a new machine as this one was 9 years old. He further stated the new machines are not built to last like they used to be. My elderly in-law's 2 ovens went out on the same day, right before the holidays. He was so professional and really knew his stuff. He had good and bad news. Our ovens were not the problem, but we were having an electrical issue. He stayed to walk us through exactly what the issue was and even drew a diagram for us to show the electrician when they come. We have no doubt he would have been able to fix what was wrong. I texted their number and received a reply in about an hour with confirmation they could be out the following morning to evaluate my Maytag Bravos XL washer that would not power on. Note: other locations like Jeffrey's have messages indicating they are booked out weeks. The technician arrived on time the following day, diagnosed a failed control board (primary failure type for this model) and ordered a replacement. He asked questions of what the repair was for and problem then setup a day and in the morning some time to come take a look. It wasnt quite as soon as we would have liked but we understood and were ok with the day. Sergio was hired to repair the icemaker and dryer. Neither job was accomplished in the hour he was on the job. He claimed he replaced a part in the dryer and left. The next morning the still broken icemaker had leaked about 3 cups of water in the refrigerator and the dryer still made a thumping noise. After numerous calls/texts with no response/action from S & D, I hired another appliance repair company. They were able to repair both problems in one visit. They saw no indication that any part had been replaced in the dryer. The icemaker had a component that was frozen over and needed a code reset. The dryer needed 2 rubber disc's replaced. The dryer had to be taken apart to reach the problem, this was not done by S&D, he turned machine on it's side and worked on the bottom of the machine. I would not recommend S & D appliance repair. read more

Washing machine went out. SD has good reviews so I called him. He was prompt in coming out and doing a diagnostic. Send me what the cost would be. It was more to repair than it was to buy a new washing machine. Asked him what are good brands and he never responded and never sent anything regarding a charge for the diagnostic. A year later I get a text saying thank you for working with us please give us a review. I didn't recognize the number and questioned who it was. He then said I had an unpaid bill with them ($75.00)for the diagnostic. When I questioned why this was the first hearing about it he said that he didn't have my email so they never sent it. Of course they had my phone number and they could have sent it anytime like they just did. I guess from now on I will just buy a new appliance over having him charge me 75.00 to tell me he can repair my old appliance for more then it would cost to buy a new one. read more

Our Bosch gas oven had been inoperative for one month, and the retail appliance store we bought it from could not send a tech out for another two weeks. SD Appliance sent Ken out the same day about two hours after I called, he found a bad ignitor, and he replaced it with a new ignitor he brought with him.
