But then I went to check out, and the guy at the register was just chatting away with his customer buddy. I literally let the guy in front of me cuz he only had one item, but then he and the cashier just had a 5 mins conversation, just laughing away like I wasn't even there. He was quick to get to me and was super nice and helpful. Due to the battery being completely dead and corroded we couldn't get the car into neutral so he helped get it into neutral. Additionally once the car was on the truck he asked if any keys on the key ring I might need which I hadn't even thought about. Overall it was a great experience super quick and very helpful. Way better than other experiences I've had in the past.

I called AAA to tow my truck to a dealer as it has no key. AAA sent A&D. The A&D driver said it…read morewould require dollies or skates, and AAA wouldn't allow them to use those. He also said they would have to tow it from the rear and because it had a hard, folding bed cover (factory installed) his boss would not allow them to tow it. Afraid the cover would blow off and damage the cab (not likely with a folding hard cover). I called AAA back and they are sending another company. They confirmed that their carriers use dollies, skates and whatever is necessary all the time. So, if you want a bunch of excuses as to why they can't tow your vehicle - call A&D. If you don't want to waste your time - call another towing company.

Wow! So glad to see these guys are still in business and doing great things! I had them rebuild…read morethe engine in my 1970 BMW 2002 back in 1978! The engine was a complete rebuild with a new cam and pistons which provided improved torque and power. The engine had increased compression and was a little tough to tune correctly to avoid pinging. But when it was tuned right, it ran beautifully. After the engine rebuild I suffered two transmission rebuilds, a broken differential and a bit of body rust. I was very hard on the car and the engine yet it continued to have good power and longevity. I finally sold that car when the jack points in the rocker panels rusted out. The buyer was a Porsche dude who loved the car and planned to use it as a daily driver (which is what I used it for as well). It is fair to say, that engine outlasted the transmission, the differential and parts of the body as well. My work associates with Corvettes and Mustangs of the era loved the way my car handled, how grounded the suspension was (also modified) and did not mind that it was only a 4 banger as the engine really howled after the rebuild and the addition of Supersprint headers and exhaust.
