I haven't done a Yelp in a while but Dr. Frederick Boghossian deserves one. From the very first appointment Dr. Poghossian was incredibly thorough and took my symptoms seriously. Months of doctors visits, no answers and frustration finally I was with a Dr. that knew exactly what I was feeling and I was able to get some answers. Staff is very Kind. He's even kinder. Truly cares about patients. So grateful for him. read more

The doctor & staffs are very friendly, down to earth. This my first time and I am impressed how professional they are.

My experience with Dr. Frederick Boghossian at Adventist Hospital was one of the most traumatic medical encounters I have ever had. This was my first time undergoing both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy, and I came in with understandable anxiety and many questions. Instead of receiving reassurance or compassion, I was spoken to harshly and felt dismissed and humiliated. I had clearly requested to be fully under anesthesia during the procedure, but this was not honored. I was only informed about sedation at the very last minute as I was being taken into the procedure room. While I was still talking with the doctor, a nurse suddenly administered sedation without my consent. I remember waking up in severe pain, feeling panicked and helpless as several nurses physically held me down -- I ended up with scratches on my hands from struggling. No patient should ever be put through that kind of experience. The colonoscopy was never completed because the pain was unbearable. I was sent home without being seen again by Dr. Boghossian. To his credit, he did call later to apologize and admitted that the situation was handled unethically, saying he would request anesthesia if the procedure were to be repeated. But I will never go back to him again. Adding to all this, my prep experience was terrible. Despite explaining in advance that I have a gag reflex and vomiting issues, no one took the time to explain that there were different prep options or flavors that could have made the process more tolerable. I left this experience feeling emotionally and physically violated. No patient deserves to be treated this way. Please be cautious and make sure your concerns and consent are fully respected before any procedure. read more

I would like to express my deepest appreciation for Dr. Frederick, who is truly one of the best doctors I have ever had the privilege of meeting. His dedication to his patients goes far beyond what is expected. He not only provides exceptional medical care, but he also takes the time to listen, understand, and make sure every concern is addressed. It is rare to find a doctor who treats each patient with such compassion, respect, and genuine kindness. Dr. Frederick always goes out of his way to ensure that his patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported. Whether it's explaining treatment options in a clear and caring manner or following up to make sure everything is going well, he consistently shows that he truly cares about the well-being of the people he serves. His professionalism, patience, and sincere dedication make him stand out in the very best way. I highly recommend Dr. Frederick to all of my friends and family. It is clear that he is passionate about his work, and he brings both expertise and heart to every appointment. I also want to extend my gratitude to his wonderful staff, who are always welcoming, helpful, and efficient. Together, they create an environment where patients feel valued and reassured, and they consistently do their best to provide timely appointments and excellent service. Thank you again, Dr. Frederick and staff, for your exceptional care, your hard work, and your unwavering commitment to doing what is best for your patients. very bad attitude from the receptionists. I went from my work to their office and after giving my name the first thing they told me you are late and now you have to wait one hour without even knowing why I was late there was not even one person in their office other than me. I had to drive 1 1/2 hours to make it there losing working hours and they do not care and is not the time they want you to wait is the bad attitude and bad customer service, since not even 24 hours in advance they change my appointment time 45 minutes earlier so technically I was not late I was 15 mins early. read more

I have been to Dr. Boghossian on two separate occasions over the course of four years and had a great experience both times. He is a friendly, kind and gentle doctor, who explains everything thoroughly. His front office staff is friendly and informative, but it is his day-of/clinical staff that really made both my experiences exceptional. I dare say nobody is eager about going into a GI procedure, but with Dr. Boghossian and his clinical staff, the process from beginning to end was top notch. The clinical staff receives you with a smile, with gentleness and with comforting demeanors. They are all about helping to prepare you while keeping you warm and comfortable, and they explain every step along the way. I'm grateful for everyone who made both my experiences as pleasant as possible. If you're in need of a GI specialist, look no further. With Dr. Boghossian and his wonderful team, you will be in excellent hands. read more

One of the most caring and thoughtful doctors I have ever met. If you want someone to take the time to explain things to you and make sure you get the care you deserve then Fred is the guy. This is my guy. Gastros in LA (for us normal average people) usually have waitlists to get an appointment. Before going to Dr. Boghossian, I'd have to wait months to get an appointment. But the good doctor makes it work. When you do get an appointment with Dr. Boghossian, he is so damn laid back. Health is stressful enough as it is, but the doctor really brings the temperature down. He doesn't talk over or down to you and really respects your knowledge and history about your own health. It feels like he's there to help you disocver your own path to health. And his team is excellent. I know every office manager and nurse tries their best but Boghossian's team is exceptionally competent. They work hard, know the ins and outs of the health insurance Kafka nightmare we have in America, and you can trust them to do something when they say they will. I'm so happy I have this doc and his team in my corner. If you have crappy guts, I promise you're gonna love this guy too. read more

The staff here is amazing! The ladies at the front desk are very nice and know how to treat patients with great customer service. Doctor Frederick was very knowledgeable and helpful with my boyfriend's questions and concerns. My boyfriend had a great experience with this facility and we highly recommend them. On top of the great service, their prices are unbeatable compared to other gastroenterologists in the area. read more

First, I would like to thank Dr Boghossian, and his staff! The Dr took excellent care of me, he was extremely understanding as he allowed me to explain all the symptoms that I have been experiencing and suffering from, he was very informative and explained in depth to me. He walked me through everything that he had assessed during my examination, he was genuine as he gave me his attention, while I shared my ailments that covered a 3 1/2 year period. I highly recommend Dr Boghossian, he has a God given gift to care for people! It was a great pleasure of mine meeting such an awesome person, who is now one of my Dr's. Thank you Doc! Kind regards, Omar Sanchez read more

This doctor isn't nice. He takes his sweet time and rushes through the questions that he should already know and is arrogant with his replies. With an attitude like his, I wouldn't recommend any one to his office. I know all doctors are extremely busy, but the way he acted toward me, I would have to say that I wouldn't come back. read more

Frederick A Boghossian, MD - Gastroenterologist Near Me - Glendale, California

I previously visited another GI doctor and was very disappointed by the experience. I found Dr. Boghossian via Google and decided to see him on a whim. My initial appointment was nearly a month out, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from his office and was told that he'd had a cancellation - which meant I could be seen earlier. I ended up seeing him almost a month earlier than I was originally scheduled to. When I arrived at his office, I was greeted by friendly staff and the wait time was minimal; the paperwork took just minutes to fill out. During my visit with Dr. Boghossian, he was attentive, kind and considerate. He decided that I should get an endoscopy and he explained his reasoning. The procedure was set for 2 weeks out; I only needed to get a Covid test and follow the pre-op instructions - that was very easy to do. Dr. Boghossian did not disappoint on the day of my procedure. The endoscopy was quick and painless. I've never had any significant medical procedures performed, so this was a welcome experience. I cannot deny that my favorable results were the icing on the cake. I highly recommend Dr. Boghossian. He is a GI doctor that you can trust to partner with you when it comes to tackling whatever health challenge leads you to his practice. His office staff are also efficient and friendly. read more

I had my colonoscopy with Dr. Boghossian and everything went great. He was very professional and I would see him again. I was very happy with the billing department. My insurance made a processing error and the lady in the billing department spent much time with my insurance company trying to figure everything out. She found that the insurance made an error and saved me my sanity along with my money. Very, very gratefu. read more

I am super lucky I found the number to this doctor's office. Dr. Boghossian and his staff were all so helpful and friendly. Colonoscopy and Endoscopy at the same time. Woke up after the best sleep of my life and went home. Dr Boghossian is the best

Dr. Frederick Boghossian is truly exceptional and utmost professional doctor. I had such comforting and pleasant experience speaking with him about my mother's medical issues and the need for her to have G-Tube for feeding. I found Dr. Boghossian honest and tries his best to avoid risks and seeks what is best for the patient. I really felt so comfortable dealing with him and I have built a great trust in him. My mother, who had a heart procedure and stroke, needed a G-tube for feeding while she was taking blood thinners that could not be stopped. Dr. Boghossian explained to me his plan and how he would perform the procedure while minimizing the risk of bleeding; and indeed he performed the procedure professionally and called me right after the procedure was done and told me that everything went alright and there was no bleeding at all from the G-tube procedure. I am here spending time writing this review because I truly believe he deserves to be acknowledged and wanted to share my thoughts with everyone. Thank you so much Dr. Boghossian for your professionalism and patience and full explanation. I and the whole family appreciate it very much. read more

While the doctor is competent regarding the colonoscopy, the billing here is absolutely ridiculous. Insurance paid a good portion, but we're still getting bills in our mail regularly. It's truly been a hassle, and still is, plus we've basically ended up overpaying. Great. :/ read more

I'll start with the staff because sometimes they don't always get the credit they deserve. They were very organized, professional, relatable, and patient. Dr. Boghossian as a physician is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. My wait was a little longer than I would have thought, BUT it becomes understandable because of how he treats his patients. He listened to everything I had to say before asking questions, I never felt like I was being rushed or like a conclusion was being made without my understanding and agreeance. When taking my history it never felt like I was being judged, everything was a matter of fact. At the end of the consult he laid out our plan going forward and I feel incredibly comfortable. read more

I just visited this office today. OMG was I amazed surprised etc with the staff the office appearance but most of all Dr Boghossian.I knew right away by the office etc that it would b a good visit but never expected what I got. First the usual questions why I was there, then he asked what nationality I was n can he guess I said Tess but he got it wrong. The visit went on going over what my test would involve but in between we spoke about families, Covid, life itself. I have been recommended to the Dr by my Dr Dutton n all I can say is WOW. I can only summarize this by saying if u need to see a Gastro Dr Please don't see no other exceot Dr Boghossian. I wish all Dr's would make patient's feel so at ease n so comfortable cus as it is you are a nervous reck n it helps to find a down to earth Dr person! read more

I DO NOT recommend this doctor at all. He has no respect for his patients. He preformed a colonoscopy on me and didn't finish the procedure. When I went in for a consultation afterwards I told him the pain is getting worse. He told me to continue taking the same medication because he doesn't know if it will get better or worse. I told him my skin was inflamed as well and my dermatologist was waiting for his office to contact him to determine the right meds to prescribe me for the inflammation for my skin and colon. he got upset and told me I was asking too many questions about my own health. Read the reviews on the doctor before it will help! read more

My mom and I have been going to Dr. Boghossian for years. I had seen him in 2014 for the diagnosis of an epigastric hernia (which he recommended I have repaired) and recently I saw him for excruciating acid reflex. Dr. Boghossian heard my complaints and recommended an endoscopy to rule out a hiatal hernia and/or an H.pylori infection. Because I do not have insurance, I was hesitant to schedule the procedure. However, after being quoted an exceptionally reasonable price for the procedure, I scheduled it within that week. A few of my friends had warned me about getting an endoscopy because their experience wasn't too great. To note, they did not have the procedure with Dr. Boghossian. I am thrilled to state that my procedure was painless and my recovery was very smooth. I did not feel any discomfort during or after the procedure. Furthermore, I received my preliminary results right away. When I returned for my follow up today, Dr. Boghossian reviewed the findings and made the appropriate recommendations for my condition. I also have to note that it is so refreshing to walk into a doctor's office and not wait hours to be seen by the doctor. I have to give credit to his staff for their scheduling skills. They are also the most friendly, professional group of individuals I have had the pleasure to encounter. They are attentive to their patients and very reliable when it comes to following up with paperwork. read more

I have been his patient for couple years now, He is the best doctor, He's staff are professional. God bless you Doctor.

7.5 years of suffering, tests upon tests, obscene amounts of radiation, colonoscopy and endoscopic procedures galore, 7 different Doctors from Cedars, UCLA, USC and Huntington couldn't help me and kept sending me home with IBS medication despite the ulcers and severe acute abdominal pain 2-3x a year. I've been told countless times it's IBS and "anxiety" when the truth is it was much more than that. With one look at me, Dr. Boghossian said he thinks I have multiple underlying conditions, and he was RIGHT. I went to the ER and was told my heart attack symptoms are anxiety with heartburn with reflux, but The tests Dr. Boghossian ordered and performed confirmed his suspicion- I don't have anxiety I have a hiatel hernia and my stomach pain isn't just your run of the mill bout of IBS, I actually have SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth). He prescribed me the correct medication told me what to do and not do and in 5 days I'm feeling a universe of difference. I cried not when he identified the problems but because he was relentless in finding and treating them. I have never, ever been to better Doctor in my life. No one understands the pain chronic gastritis causes and if you do, then I can tell you with a 100% certainty, your cure is waiting behind his office door. I thank Jesus daily for being referred to him. I know you'll say the same when you meet him and his overly caring, attentive and empathetic staff. Dr. B and team, I have no words. I was a patient of Dr.Boghossian for a good year I would say. Though my colonoscopy went very well. He was completely incompetent of answering any of my questions and treating my ulcerative colitis. How can a dr tell me to google answers when I ask him questions. He had me on medication that wouldn't help. I always had bloody loose stool and he did nothing about it. I switched to Dr. Mehdikani and thank god since then he put me on steroids temporarily which calmed my symptoms and talked to my insurance company and got me on different meds and now I'm in remission and able to live a normal life. This doctor is a complete joke. Quickly before even diagnosing me or hearing what I had to say he quickly booked me for surgery which I canceled the next day and then they called me a day prior to my "surgery day" and I told them that I had canceled. Two weeks later they called me for a following post op appointment for my surgery which never happened lol. I then get a bill from the doctor a week later for $5 literally $5 I couldn't believe it! I had already paid my deductible the one and last time I came to this joke Doctor. He then sends me a bill for $5. Save yourself people this guys a joke. read more
