This is the second time we've stopped by Freddy's drive-thru to get dinner and they've completely forgotten one of the kids meals. We got the fries and milk but no chicken. It's not easy to count your entrees when you have a bunch but make sure you do before you pull away. It seems they need to train the drive thru staff on double checking an order before they hand it out. I was at this location on 10205 E Old Vail Rd. , 09/01/24 @ 5:44:57 PM. I don't really like to complain, but when my total was $41.75 and the service and the food was not there, yeah you bet I will complain. I got home with my food and the Patty melt had two long hairs in between the patty and bread, one out of the two kids meal we order tots only to have all the tots over cooked when I say over cooked is like they gather what ever was floating in the oil they were burned. It's like chewing into a concrete board. That's how hard these tots were. I called the facility to speak to what we called Manager, I asked for the ladies name I said what is your name and she said "this is the manager" and I asked her a second time. What is your name so that I could address her by her name, I also wanted to write it down on my note who I spoke with and she hanged up on me without even asking what was the problem. I normally have a decent experience here but this time changed everything. Ordered two large concretes. Received two shakes with the wrong ingredients. Ok, I'll deal with it, oh boy was I in for a surprise. My vanilla concrete with chocolate syrup and whipped creme and cherry on top turned out to be a cherry milkshake. But the kicker is the cherries were added with the stems still on. Every other bite was a stem and every bite was stem pieces. I tried calling them twice with the number on the receipt and they wouldn't answer. The second concrete was supposed to be a chocolate with pecans and banana. I had to repeat my order numerous times even though I was ordering nothing special. Then waited 22 minutes for my order of just 2 burgers, 2 fries, and a grilled cheese. Luckily I checked the bag because they forgot both fries. Got home and realized both burgers were wrong. Got singles instead of doubles. Fries were cold too. We bought four hot fudge sundaes and brought them home. When we got home and opened the bag, the sundaes weren't even 1/2 full. I called the store and spoke to the restaurant manager, Ashley. I explained the situation. She was very empathetic and told us that if we came back she would make new ones for us. We were unable to do so because we had plans and didn't have time to drive back. She then offered to send us coupons for for complimentary sundaes. I want the local community and franchise owners to know how lucky they are to have such an awesome manager! Ok I am far from a sheep who flocks! I finally got around to trying this place, and I'm glad I did! First off to those who said there is no flavor in the food must have dead tastebuds! My burger which was the California Style Double was very well seasoned, yet not just salty! It was piping hot, and all of the toppings were fresh and plentiful! Yes it took a bit longer than most fast food to come out, but it was hot, fresh, and delicious! No "FAST" in this Freddy's location. Waited in line for 19 mins (2 cars in front of us) for a shake on a Tuesday evening 8 pm :-( Then the lady says $18.69 as she hands me 3 sodas. I tell her it said $5.29 on the screen for my shake, she replied oh this food isn't yours. I say Nope, she re-rings me up for a shake and takes my $5.29. She closes the window, as I see my shake sitting on counter. About 2 mins later she opens window and says do you want a drink holder for all your drinks and has the sodas in her hands again. I said, No I just want my Chocolate Shake!!! Absolutely gross walked in and noticed they weren't very busy, dirty dining room and several employee's standing around.We placed order, then walked over to get drinks, looked over into the kitchen and saw a disgustingly dirty kitchen space. A layer of fries floating in the oil, a greasy workspace, dirty prep area and watched them put my burger on a very dirty and stained cutting board. The quality and cleanliness of this restaurant is lacking. We decided we weren't going to stay and asked for the Manager. He seemed really indifferent to the condition of his restaurant, complained he had to come back into work after already leaving and that he had been there since 11a.m. I told my wife I'll call the GM in the morning to which his response was she's my fiancé........got it you don't care about your job, the cleanliness of the restaurant all because your fiancé is the GM. Says everything I need to know about the "management" of the restaurant. Good news is employee's started cleaning and the patrons after us had a better experience. This place really needs to get their act together. They have a ton of staff and everyone just stands there doing nothing. I went to get ice cream last night. After 30 mins of waiting for my concrete, they brought me a sundae. My boyfriend's shake never even appeared. They left my son's order on the counter and it was a melted mess and still no complete order. (We we're taking it to go.) We finally got tired of waiting and asked for a refund. The shift manager finally came out and begrudgingly attempted. The first time I experienced Freddys it was the one in town on Broadway, I thought wow this was a great burger and so simple.. so I was excited to see one close to home, however it just didn't taste the same and was very salty, and the staff wasn't as friendly thru the drive thru. I used to look forward to going to Freddy's. Food used to be really great but in the last year we've had our orders both online and in person get consistently messed up. From not making alterations asked to completely forgetting food items that I paid money for. The steakburger is pretty good period however I do not care for the burnt edges on the side of the burger. I really really like their custard they give a lot of options, my favorite is custard cheese cake and strawberries. My favorite burger is the patty melt. I recommend getting extra Swiss. It's new to the neighborhood, so expect to wait both for eating in and drive through. The place is staffed with high school kids, most of them it seems are working their first job. Their inexperience definitely affects the speed of service, but as they get more experience I expect the service to get faster. The quality of the food is good! The burgers are tasty and I love the shoestring fries. The onion rings are also delicious. There aren't many fast food choices around here, and Freddy's is a welcome change to the usual. Went through the the drive through for dinner and it took a very long time to actually get my food. And when I got my food, they for my order wrong! I don't expect much from a business that employees a bunch of high school kids, but the order wasn't even close!! We ordered a "California style" burger and a burger meal. We for two plan double hamburgers. Very sad that it's been open for a couple months and the employees can't get an order correct. Freddy's in Tucson, Arizona? Thank you! I was so glad to discover that Freddy's was out here in the west. I first visited a Freddy's in Missouri. Out there they are a Midwest institution. You see them everywhere you go. As someone originally from Southern California, they remind of me In-N-Out, only with a Midwest kind of twist. When the menu includes a Steakburger "California Style" then you know you aren't back home anymore. That's okay though, because Freddy's does so many things right. Nothing has ever disappointed me here. Their restaurants are always clean and the restrooms are immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. You never find yourself waiting more than 7-8 minutes for your food. Everything about Freddy's is great. I'm a fan. I'll keep coming back. And this location is my favorite in Tucson. I usually order the Original Double Patty Melt with a regular size order of fries. Freddy's has a "Fry Sauce" that is just perfect for dipping those delicious, thin, crispy fries in. I always grab a few cups of their fry sauce while I wait for my order to come up. Don't forget to grab a bottle of their "Famous Steakburger and Fry Seasoning" for your table while you wait. You can always find some near the Freddy's Fry Sauce and ketchup stations. I've considered buying a bottle and taking it home, it's really that good. What else can I say? Tonight will absolutely be the last time that I go to Freddy's. The wait time in the drive-thru is unheard of - always! The teenagers that take your order or throw it at you once you reach the window are rude and obnoxious, to say the least. The young man that took my card this evening, asked me if I wanted a receipt and I said yes. He proceeded then to ask me no less than four times if I wanted in any number of different sauces, seasonings, etc. I said four times, no thank you. The last time he asked, he was simply incredulous that I didn't even want any ranch dressing/sauce. He then shoved the bag of food at me while saying "oh, by the way, would you like a straw?"
